Made an appt for 1. By 2 they still hadn't taken my car in and their waiting area had no air conditioning and it was 102 degrees out with the heat index. So I told them forget it. I'll go elsewhere. When you make an appt the car should be taken in within an hour. If you're that backed up then don't overbook yourself and leave enough time between appointments!

This is something they can easily fix, which leaves a terrible taste in customers mouths if they find out. The markup on parts is absolutely insane. An over 100% markup, compared to the manufacturer's sales price, is pure unearned profit at the expense of the customer. This certainly could've just been this one instance, as a battery didn't seem to have that same markup, however marking up parts at all is a scuzzy practice at all. IMO of course.

To this establishment's defense, they've been good about installing parts that I'll bring in, so there is a self imposed solution to this craziness yet I was incredibly disappointed when I found out the disparity between their price and the price I can actually get it for this particular repair. I was so turned off, I opted to either do the repair myself or take it to another establishment. Very friendly staff though. This concern is directed more at the upper level managerial/area director employees.

Went to get my timing repaired here. I had all of the parts to do the job with me and Lucas said they could do it no problem. They did the diagnosis and determined I was right about my timing then proceeded to tell me that the labor would be $2500. I couldn't believe what I heard for a quote for something that should be half that. So I quickly picked up my truck paid for the diagnostic and kindly left. I do not recommend this auto shop at all

Purchased oil pack deal for synthetic oils and I was told its for any car. Manager of this location lady tried to charge me extra money for the vehicle I have. Almost $600 I called one of other drivers auto repair shop and and Manager at this location told me there will be no difference in pay whatsoever So I can bring my car in. Short story and question needed to be asked; is there no district manager checking this location out? how can be possible manager of this location tries charge additional $$ while there was no need? This is not honest business!

My truck had a leak from the rear main seal. I found Driver's Auto Repair online. They was very professional from the first phone call I made confirming acceptance of my extended warranty, and in person while discussing details of my truck concerns. They kept me updated on my vehicle status contacting me on their own daily until the very last day! Very professional, very patient, great customer service all around, and the work was completed with care! Highly recommended

I normally always get my oil changed here, but today as I was getting my oil changed, they quoted me $1200 to have my back brake pads and rotors replaced. I just couldn't believe that they would try and charge someone that much. I had to ask how they justified that price and he said, their quality service, they have to pay their mechanics and free brake fluid flush when I get them serviced. It was ridiculous.

We came by today to see about dropping off my Sequoia for service we went inside, no one asked what was wrong with it, they were asking for our personal information. When my husband asked what the hourly rate was, he was asked why we needed to know. My husband responded if you are asking me for my information I need to know your rate. When we heard 167 an hour, he said no thanks. We were then followed outside and told to not come back. No problem! Terrible customer service.

The folks here at Driver's have been nothing but excellent to me since day one! Very knowledgeable and professional, and have always been willing to work with me when it comes to finances. I dont think I'd even have a car at this point if it wasn't for them! Definitely an easy recommendation.

Lucas was amazing! Start to finish he was informative and personable. He really broke the stereotype that mechanics are crooks, he even gave advice on how to save money! You peek through the glass divider and see how he has a great relationship with his coworkers and how they respect eachother. It sucks that we're moving because I'd definitely have him be our car guy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of getting my car back on the road! I was worried because it's a Lexus and I usually only go to a Lexus dealership. Lucas Ruiz was great got there for my car inspection got me in and out in 20 mins or so, very timely service, very polite customer service very impressed! Will be back for future services that I may need. Great place to take your vehicle. Ask for Lucas he will take care of you. Waiting area was comfortable and you can see your vehicle while it's worked on. Recommend.

I called with an emergency with a busted brake line. I spoke with Mr. Lucas after talking to multiple other repair shops that told me at 3:00 they had taken their last vehicle in or they couldn't guarantee they could help me or take care of me today. Mr. Lucas said otherwise and told me to bring my truck in. Currently they have it on the lift and are taking care of me and I will have my truck all fixed by the evening!

Total God Sends here! 10 STARS! I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE! Customer service is amazing and everyone here is so nice and friendly! Great work as well! I also didn't have a lug lock for my lug nuts. Staff were courteous and very informative. They have options for larger repair bills that allowed me to get needed work done on my older family car. Lucas did a Detailed walk through of the technician findings. At no time did I feel misinformed of what needed to get done and what could "wait". Services: Oil change, Check engine light diagnostic

My 17 year old step son stopped in during a tropical storm to see if they could fix his windshield wipers. They were very nice and took his car in right away and were willing to do the work right away. Here is where the problem started. $167 for "diagnostic" All told over $400 for a wiper motor, "diagnostic" and labor. Their "diagnosis" was wrong.

The problem never had anything to do with the motor. It was the wiper arm linkage. They sent him on his way after charging him for essentially doing nothing, then told him to come back the next morning. As the storm was still in the area! When he went back they wanted another $250 for the linkage but said they wouldn't charge the labor for installation.

My other step son called them to find out what was going on and was given the run around, so he asked to have a manager call him. When she called him. She was rude and refused to refund anything having to do ethics their misdiagnosis. People. I have run shops myself. This is not how you keep people coming back. So. after being over charged for accomplishing zero I would not recommend this place to anyone. They saw the boy coming and didn't expect him to have back up.

Driver's Auto Repair operates directly across the street from my day job. In the early morning hours, I drop off my car (tell them what I need accomplished) and then walk to work. I always receive a call with a full-detail, cost and everything in advance of the work. I have no complaints against their work and professionalism. I went in for a wheel alignment. Then I was told that my car had a coolant leak. The lady at the front desk then told me I would need to order the part and they could fix it but I had to order it today. After labor it was almost $400. I decided to take it to my grandpa who is a mechanic who tells me that my car is fine and those people were just trying to make some money.

I've had several issues with this location in the past. I keep coming back because I have an oil change pack with a couple of oil changes left. I called and scheduled an appointment for 7 am on a saturday for an oil change. I spoke to a gentleman. He took my info and number, confirmed the location. Came to the place at 7:05 on that saturday just to be told that they don't have me in the system for the appointment and they don't even start oil change until 8 am.

It seems that every time I come to this location, there are issues. On top of that, the last time I was here, I took my husband's car to fix his headlights. They charged us several hundred dollars to fix it and the headlights went out again just two days after. Ended up taking his car to different place where they fixed them for free. The staff is nice but this is just ridiculous.

I like to come here to get my state inspection done (since it is in close proximity to Capital One and HEB). Even though this location is a matter of convenience, there are 2 waiting rooms and 2 sides of bays available to help anyone out here and get you in-and-out no problem. They run a free diagnostic on your vehicle and bring to your attention issues you probably never noticed.

They offer a free estimate and financing is available if you are unprepared for the cost of repair, damage, or maintenance. The staff is Professional and nice in my observed opinion. I would definitely come back here again. Side note: If you are hungry there is a Subway on the other side of Capital One and a Chinese restaurant across the street (if your stay is a little longer then you expected).
