These guys are the best! I've taken my current and past vehicles here and I'm always pleased. They do what you need and don't try to up-sell you on a million other things. Their prices are reasonable and they are quick as well!

This place is really great, Benz of Plano asked me for thousands to pay for the alignment and bushing, and the manager here helped me diagnose my car 4 times and didn't cost me! Yes, tested 4 times for me and pay 0, I certainly will refer this place to my friends, they really wants to help you instead of just wanting your money!

Ownership and experience matter greatly! The entire staff from MasterTech helped in the process of repairing my 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ and I couldn't be happier. I have known Bill and Liz for nearly 15 years and they have built a business based on integrity and well trained technicians. Over the years I have trusted MTAC to repair several of my vehicles.

This issue was a doozy. Check engine light with a catalytic converter/O2 sensor code that wouldn't go away. Since it's impossible to get registration completed without a valid state inspection it was going to either be a repair or buy a new car. The guys at MTAC check rechecked replaced their warrantied parts from last year's catalytic converter repair and got the code cleared and sent me on my way with no extra charges.

They stood by their promise and made it right. My hats off the MTAC and if you are looking for a trustworthy shop with experience and expertise look no further. Fair price and quality work!

I had my car aligned here last year no trouble, they did a good job. Now, however, they flat refuse to do the work on a "modified car, " even if it still aligns exactly like factory. Supposedly there's a "whole new crew, " according to the employee that refused me.

We trust Master Tech to keep our ancient Tahoe running and, most recently, they replaced the clutch on our elderly Mini Cooper at a significant savings compared to dealer. Always a positive experience - highly recommend! Services: Engine repair, Auto maintenance, Transmission repair

I came in for a simple oil change and asked the Service Manager to look as this scraping noise I heard occasionally. He called me out to look at it about 15 mins later and they identified the problem, got the part and the fix was done that day. Reasonably priced and work was done well, then added an inspection when they asked if I knew it was late. I didn't so another save. Great job Mastertech!

I've had my 30 year old truck up there twice now, for a major brake job and a transmission replacement. Both were done in a very timely fashion, and have had no issues at all after the repairs were complete.

Mike and team were amazing. I showed up with my check engine light on and Mike and team were extremely professional and worked with me until the problem was completely solved. It was a drive for me coming all the way from The Colony, but it was worth it. My friend had referred me to them and I will pass it along referring them to my friends. Thank you

I had a lug nut snap in half upon an attempt to remove it. Discount Tire said they could not remove the remaining piece and referred me here. I will say these folks did not snap the lug nut but rather I was requesting the removal of one that had already snapped. I feel like I got majorly jipped. After waiting a good 30 minutes the tech comes and tells me he can remove it but it would scratch the wheel and that it would be $317. $317 for the removal of A single lug nut and replacement of a stem and new lug nut?!

That's outrageous. I had other places that quoted me lower but at that point given my circumstances and my specific situation I had not the time to take it elsewhere. I told them I didn't want a replacement lug but and that I'd get that elsewhere and that dropped it to $287. So you're telling me they were going to charge me $30 for one single lug nut?

Place is a total rip off. Oh and the "scratch" to the wheel? They need to get their wording a little better.look at the pic, does that look like a scratch to you?! I'm extremely disappointed I even had to do this as an option and won't be taken advantage of again. Most of the cost was for labor which I get but I think they should have been more clear up front about what my damn wheel would look like when they were done because that is not scratched. That's drilled, beaten, and anything else they could do to it. Do NOT go here unless you want to pay with your first born child.

I can't say enough about this place, and about Mike. Several times now they've had the chance to take my money, and every time they have instead told me the truth (as opposed to the dealer, who came back with a laundry list of BS 'repairs'). Because of this, since it was time for my 120K flushes and tune up, they got the work. They'll be my garage as long as we're both around; an honest mechanic is INVALUABLE to me. Wish i could give them 6 stars.

This was my first time coming to the shop, and I definitely will be back! The owner Bill was wonderful and very helpful. He got me in very quickly! My check engine light had came on yesterday and I was concerned about it and he was able to find out what the problem was fast and explain it to me in a way that I would understand what I needed to do.

Miss Liz in the front was also wonderful, I had to bring my puppy with me today and she even played with him for a little bit so I could go into the shop to check on things! Great staff! Will be back!

I am a cheapskate. I run my vehicles until the wheels fall off. Bill, Liz and their team at MasterTech have been my partners in saving money over many years now. Full disclosure: I know Bill and Liz from church. I trust them.

They were able to fit me in to get my work van aligned despite my busy schedule. Waiting area has comfortable couches.

If I could pick zero I would. LAZY SERVICE is all we recieved! We had the lug nuts fall off of our tire while on the highway. We limped here after we called and they said they could fix it. We get here and they don't have the parts. We we're told they couldn't find the parts we needed until tomorrow. We called dodge and they had them available although the front desk claimed to have already called and they said they were out.

We drove to dodge to get the parts, came back two hours before close and they refused to finish the service. Leaving us to deal with hot to get our vehicle, with no tires, out of their parking lot with our two children.

I am so disappointed! We have been here many times over the last several years and were tickled when they opened back up on Saturdays. On average we've paid about $90 an oil change for synthetic Mobil 1. Today I was told $150. WHAT? Needed brakes and was very descriptive as to what was wanted to get a call of $600 plus for some premium brake job with rotors etc. no thank you.

Then to get a call that, well the rotors aren't in that bad a shape so we could do it for $375.? - The techs have always been so honest and up front about things that were and were not needed and now they are trying to sell me something I don't need at the tune of $225? This is not the shop we have done business with before. I'm not sure who it was who told my husband, We are through here. we will put your old oil back in and you can go. never have I ever! So very disappointing to see the quality tank the way it has

I have been coming to MasterTech for a while, I go to other places off and on but MasterTech really knows how to take care of you. Their Customer Service is exceptional. Great customer service can go such a long way & is super important. I have a an older model car, 2005 Toyota Corolla and have had several jobs don't on it such as oil change, hub bearing replacement are just a few-as it's been the wear & tear of the car and every time, MasterTech has done a great job. Wayne and everyone on the team is so nice, I trust them completely with my car. I highly recommend going to them if you have any issues with your car. I am very grateful for MasterTech & everyone on the team.

Dont waste your time, their website is facebook and when you send them a message and shows they seen it but still dont reply, not someone I would want working on my vehicle. Couldnt call due to my phone is broke and have to wait a week to get back

Great customer service. I came in one day to ask questions about getting some pricing for some items on my car that need attention. When I dropped my car off the next week Austin remembered me and took great care of my car and getting it done on time. Highly recommend this location. Will come back here in the future.

They correctly diagnosed my car issue needing struts and shocks, gave me a competitive price and did the job on time. My car is like new and really appreciate Bill and Liz giving me the personal attention of a locally owned business! I love this place, and will back

How is it my husband picked up his 1971 Chevy from you after 6 days and I'm following him to get a battery?!? And/OR an ALTERNATOR! $1300+. You don't deliver on time and when you do it isn't even right! Don't get me started on no heat and the truck stinks of gasoline. Unbelievable service guys. How have you stayed in business? We came to you because of online reviews.

Picked up truck from our place, took back to shop, fixed it and left the keys for us to pick up after they closed. SEE PIC OF US PICKING UP THE FIXED VEHICLE someone is PUNKING us?! $1300+ SUNDAY UPDATE: Truck won't turn over and no call from MasterTech. They're closed on weekends and don't check messages, I guess. Trying an on-call mechanic.

I was referred here by my boss. His wife highly recommended master auto tech.i took my jeep in last summer to have ther ac charged. The compressor was replaced after a wreck. I was charged between 2 to 300 $. I can't remember for sure. I was told they did a pressure check and then filled with freon. And then it leaked out from around the condenser.

That i needed a new one and was given a quote of something under 2000$. I can't remember the exact amount. I couldn't afford it. 3 weeks ago my other boss had me take it to his mechanic and was going to pay to have it fixed. The mechanic pressure checked it charged it and it still worked. No condenser was needed. I trusted master auto tech and i work 2 jobs for money.

This is very disappointing to be taken advantage of. I don't expect anything to be done about it.i'm glad my ac is fixed for 375 basically. I didn't need a condenser. Only freon. And i learned it shouldn't have been filled up if it was pressure checked and it leaked. Tough expensive lesson. But learned.

I've been here on 2 occasions and haven't had any issues yet. The first time, they fixed my AC and there were no problems. The second time, they gave me an oil change in about an hour. It's not the cleanest inside, as I've seen cockroaches more than once, but just be patient and they'll have your car fixed!

I went in thinking from friends suggestions that I needed bearings or an axle replaced. Was quite excited to learn that it was only tire noise and not something more major. And even happier to find a mechanic that didn't charge me for more than a simple inspection. I will return and recommend this place to friends. Quick friendly and reasonable.

I really don't like to give these kinds of reviews, but with the seriousness of this situation I feel people should be well informed. It started with what felt like an alignment issue so the did some research and found a good deal on Groupon. When I got there I asked how much a diagnostic, was told $50. Cool I can deal with that. After more than an hour of waiting the gentleman came and he told me to keep my Groupon for now because there is a bigger problem.

The front wheel bearing was going out and might need a new hub assembly too. Estimate was $400-$600 to fix. Friends said get a second opinion so I took it to Ford. Glad I did because the "diagnostic" I paid $52.50 for, they never did and the issues were far more extensive than I was told. BOTH wheel bearings and hub assemblies need replacing, all 4 breaks are at 2mm and rotors need turned, needs a tune-up, air filter, coolant and transmission servicing and a few more necessities.

All totaled it needs $2300 in work. If Master Tech had been honest and actually done what they were supposed to do instead of minimizing things and only telling me to drive it as little as possible I could have had other options. Groupon won't even give me my money back for the alignment I can't even use. If you value your safety and need honesty from a mechanic Master Tech is NOT that place.

This is my new go-to spot for car repair. They came highly recommended by both my parents as well as my in-laws due to their integrity, honesty, knowledge, and affordability. Just recently I had taken my 2010 Toyota Corolla in to the dealership service center for 100,000 mile maintenance. In addition to a coolant and transmission service, I was told the vehicle needed two additional repairs that were very costly.

I called Master tech to see if they could beat the dealer's price. Master Tech determined the car really only needed one of the repairs suggested by the dealer AND beat the dealer's price handily. I love these guys. As long as they keep doing work like this, they've got me as a customer for life. I'll gladly go here even though I live out in McKinney.

I've been going here for many years, mostly for oil change, and I always thought they were honest folks. But things have changed, and I now know MasterTech is bunch of lairs and thieves. So much for their "Christian" values, lol. You may still be able to trust them with an oil change, but for anything that requires a mechanic, go elsewhere. MasterTech has no mechanics; all they do is replace parts.

My 2005 Honda Accord's steering would become stiff. I dropped off my car at noon on a Friday. I waited almost four hours for the dimwit to tell me that he's going to need to order the power steering pump, and he won't have it till Monday. I knew he wasn't telling the truth because nobody had looked at my car the entire time (I checked the parking lot every 20-30 minutes).

I also knew he wasn't telling the truth because the pump was most likely okay. The next day I drove all the way to Lewisville to see my trusted mechanic. He told me all that was needed was to replace the O-ring, which costs a couple of bucks and maximum of 10 minutes of work. MasterTech not only lied to me, but they were trying to rob me of my money by charging me unnecessary parts and labor.

Avoid Like the Plague! When we started using Mastertech, they were the best. We recommended them to everyone. But the wonderful, skilled, ethical, original owner is no longer involved. His grandson (we think) runs the place now and he is nothing like his predecessor. Long story short, our last encounter with him involved him lying to our faces, repeatedly.

He told us our car was 100% fixed and let us drive off with it, when in fact it was essentially totaled and dangerous to drive. And he charged us for a number of services, all of which it turns out were NEVER PERFORMED on our car (he admitted that 2 days later when we brought the car back in)! He didn't really seem to even see a problem with any of that.

He blamed his employees for the issues (as if he wasn't responsible for them) and completely forgot that he himself was the one who personally told us the car was great. The current problem is one that should have been obvious the last time the car was in, if not the time before, which makes us wonder if they have ever done the work they charged us for.

When we asked him to make the situation right, he actually said "we never make things right." Thank goodness we are lawyers - its a bit of a pain, but not moving mountains to file a lawsuit to get this mess sorted. Our biggest sadness though is that our once reliable shop is dead to us. RIP Mastertech.

Took my car to Discount Tire to get my tires rotated only to discover that at 20k miles, they were dead. What?! Because of the wear patterns (plus all the crazy potholes we have in Northeast Dallas), I decided it would be best to get a wheel alignment before I had new tires put on the next day. Now, who to call. After reading Yelp reviews and upon the recommendation of another well-reviewed mechanic in Plano, I decided to bring my car to MasterTech and hope they could get me in.

This is a no frills place and I was okay with that. I arrived around 8:00am and was the only other person in the waiting area. They quickly took my information and pulled my car into the bay for the alignment. Within 45 minutes it was done, and the older guy told me some of the markers were so bad they didn't even register on the computer. Huh, guess that was the problem!

He also gave me their special price right now even though I didn't have a coupon, and I thought that was really great customer service on their part. I was not hassled for any other repairs. I told them up front that my shocks and struts were broken and I was not interested in replacing them at this time, and not once did anyone mention it. As a female, I know a fair amount about cars so I don't worry too much about being hassled, but it's always fantastic when you don't get hassled to begin with. Kudos to MasterTech for a job well done with great customer service!

Been taking my cars here for years. Honest and quick. Just bought a new vehicle, and they do not want to work with the after-market warranty company. Thus the 4 stars. Otherwise they are perfect. I have sat in their waiting area and connected to their internet to do work while waiting for them to fix my vehicles. Nice.

Needed to get front wheel hubs replaced. Received a couple of quotes from other places in Plano, the highest being almost $900. Mastertech got it done for $450. The car runs great now. They didn't try to sell me any other repairs at all, which I appreciate. They have free wifi even, which is a bonus.

Went in today (Wednesday) just before noon to get the ac in my car recharged with freon. They are first come, first serve but got my car in right away and all was done by 1pm. The ac in my car blows cold again and I'm a happy customer! :D Comfortable waiting area with a tv & coffee/soda while you wait.

Wonderful people and they did a great job on my car! The A/C went out on my car Sunday and I took it in Monday. They did have to order parts but by Tuesday morning my A/C was blowing cold. June is not the time in Texas not to have A/C! They also charged me $250 less than the first quote I got Sunday. That's a big deal to me! If I ever have any other issues, they are now my new mechanics for life! And yes they now have free wifi while you are waiting!
