Wonderful customer service! Randy always has a smile! I have had service twice from Love Field Auto (mechanical & maintenance) and even took my mother's SUV in for new brakes. High Price for Decent Repairs I've been coming to Randy for almost 20 years, now. And until the last couple years I always vowed that I would come here exclusively. This was because of the friendly and honest service. I've also referred numerous people to his shop as evidence of my appreciation. However, it seems since their move to the new location, the pricing has been much steeper and less competitive.
I understand that the move and inflation have likely caused them to raise the prices. Last month it was $1500 for CV axel and valve gasket replacement/repair. This time it was a wheel bearing replacement for $460. I thought it seemed high. Nonetheless, I went along with the repair. I did ask if it was for both front bearings, but no it was only for the passenger side. Even with a $20 coupon from one of their mailers, the total was $100 higher than quotes received from other nearby shops. NOTE: I have given Love Field Auto accurate 5-star reviews before.
Don't let this review dissuade you from coming here, but I would definitely shop around on the prices, and mention it to Randy, if you think that the quote is higher than it should be. That'll be my plan moving forward.

I explained the issues going on with the car and what I thought to be the issue (fuel injector) when i dropped it off. Randy met me with cheeky remarks. "So you googled the symptoms and that's what it told you." "So do you want me to check the fuel injector or do you want me to check the car?" I also feel like Randy withheld the fact that the issues I had explained to him were due to the transmission going bad.
Before they did the work, he only told me it was due to motor mounts and control arm bushings. It wasn't until after they fixed those that he revealed the transmission was going bad. He would've/should've known that from the beginning because you experience the issues every time you drive the car. So now I'm out $1,500 and the issue I took my car there for was not fixed. This definitely seemed shady and dishonest for sure.
