I have taken my brand new car here for first 3 oil changes after 5000, 10000 and 15000 miles. each time they told me I needed a new air filter that mine was clogged. At first I trusted them and had it done; then I looked up online how long air filters last on average it's at least 10,000 - 15k miles. Fourth time i went in told em I didn't want the Air filter they tried again to sell it to me.

The very next time I took my car to get oil change else where I had them specifically look at the air filters. They were completely fine. After 5000 miles. These guys are crooks. The last time I went here for oil change they wanted to replace my front brake pads telling me they were almost gone down to 2mm. They also said my back brake pads were very thick around 8mm.

And didn't need replacement. This alone was very suspicious; I immediately took it to another place to take a look at brakes. Both front and rear brakes were worn about the same and had more than 7mm left. These guys are complete crooks. Adding on excessive charges that's unnecessary more than 4 times. Do not go here

I made my first call. I had appointment to come in, in a couple of days. The were great to care of my needs and checked out the issue and cost me 1/2 of what I had been quoted. GOD BLESS HONEST PEOPLE.

These gentlemen are quality from the 1st time you walk through their door. They've been extremely helpful with my automotive needs & pricing is offordable. I recommend Foothill Auto Care for any of your automotive question's or mechanical needs. John is great for service writing, Kevin is the mechanic manager, & Ryan is one of the mechanics that I deal with the most. Having these 3 men on their team is what seperate's them from the rest of the shops in town. They also offer a courtesy car ride home or to the shop for customers picking up or dropping off their vehicles.

These guys are the best! Brought my 1992 Miata to 4 shops prior to this and these guys were the only ones who actually put in the effort to figure out what was wrong with it. Took our truck in for a brake inspection due to squealing brakes. Was charged $60 just to look at them. They said we needed back brakes (only the back) and it would cost $700. Yikes! We thought that was DOUBLE what we should be charged so we called another local auto shop and they quoted us at $350. Just got the trucks brakes done today and we paid $389. WAY cheaper than $700 quoted by these crooks. Go somewhere else!

We had an unexpected emergency yesterday when my car just wouldn't start. We tried what we knew and nothing would fix it. I needed to leave for work which meant I was heading out of town for two days. Although we have two cars I couldn't just take our second car and leave my husband and kids stranded for two days. What if there were an emergency?

A fire? I called our insurance who sent out a tow truck; they recommended towing it to foothill. I knew nothing about them nor had I done any research. But I trust my insurance company (USAA) and they recommended it so I agreed. I couldn't be more happy! The guys at foothill we're so nice, so understanding. They answered all of my questions and were patient and kind despite me making several phone calls.

They diagnosed my problem within 30 minutes of the car arriving and then when I explained how important it was to get my car back today they fixed it the same day even though I had no appointment and it was already late into the afternoon. And the charge was only $56 in the end. A rodent had chewed through a wire. They could've charged me a ton, I was completely vulnerable, but they didn't. They got my car back to us within about 2 hours. Very trustworthy! I highly recommend their services!

I've been going here since I moved up here a few years ago. They've always treated me well. I've had my rear break lights replaced for free on multiple occasions when I'd be there for other maintenance issues. I came in today for specifically just a rear tail light that was out. When they gave me my key back, I asked what I owed, and they told me it was on the house. I've been to other mechanics, but of all the places, I've been treated the best here. 10/10 would recommend.

I was very pleased when I had Foothill Car Care do a routine service on my Rav 4. They were able to get my car in the next day and they were finished in about an hour! Thrilled!

This is my favorite mechanic. My dad started going here when Rob started his own business and our family have been loyal customers since. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and capable, office staff are friendly, and what's more, they have integrity very hard to find in a mechanic these days. A few years back I took a car in for the timing belt, water pump, etc. service.

About a year later, the car was back for a routine service and they noticed a leak around a gasket they had replaced as part of that service. True to their 18 month warranty, when the car was picked up, they had redone the previous year's repair for free! I hadn't noticed the leak and likely wouldn't have until their was a major problem but they had the integrity to correct this leak on their own.

For this and my many other good experiences here, I won't take my vehicles anywhere else. From oil changes to major service, I turst Foothill Car Care to look after all my vehicles. Thanks for the great service.

I highly recommend this auto shop. They treat you fairly, have excellent rates and offer shuttle rides to local area if you need. I've had my oil changed here several times and have always been satisfied. Additionally, the last time I had my SUV in for an oil change, they replaced a taillight for me without charging for labor - just added the bulb cost.

I've taken my personal and business vehicles into Foothill Car Care on a number of occasions and I've been very happy with the quality of their work and pricing!

I brought my car in for an oil change. I didn't feel like working on it myself (gravel driveway, no concrete) so, hey, I'll pay somebody else. When I brought it in, I said "There is a leaking transmission cooler line, the lower one, on the radiator. If it can be fixed with an O-ring or just fixed for under $250, just go for it. I probably won't be available by phone during the day" When I pick the car up, they inform me that it will be another $48 for somebody to put the car back up on the lift, wipe a few parts down with a rag and add a chemical dye to some fluids so they can see where it's coming out.

The oil change was $70. I get in, turn the key, the service reminder is still on. Sigh. The guy jumps in the car and, without removing his gloves, starts poking at the console to reset it. Sigh. So it's $70 for an oil change and if I want them to do, youknow, anything mechanic-y I have to pay another $50. I don't know what "touching the interior with clean hands" would cost.

Every time I let somebody else work on my cars, I am reminded that, hey, I've got ASE mechanic credentials and I should do it my damn self. Today was no different. Maybe I need to adjust my expectations for mechanics, or just quit being such a ball breaker in general.

This place was great! We walked in and they changed my oil in just over an hour! Friendly service and close to a cafe so you can get a coffee and wait.

I've had various cars taken to FCC - my latest is a 2016. I'm willing to bet that it's a fairly common misconception to think you have to take your brand new car to the dealership for an oil change. My Chevy dealership oil change would have cost $150. Robert hooked me up for half that! Thanks dude!

$129 for a simple engine oil Change?! Are you guys serious? My wife takes her SUV in and they charge her $15 a quart for castrol synthetic oil when I know for a fact it costs less than $8 a quart at Walmart and $10 at best from riebies, autozone or o'reilys. Ok, so you guys charge 33%-ish over parts, good to know. And another $54 dollars for labor for something that takes all but 20 min to do?! Unbelievable, we will not be bringing our cars back to you guys at rates like that. Save your money people, go somewhere else.

Terrible experiences with Foothill Care Care in Grass Valley. Avoid them at all costs! I've now had to return (and wait extraordinary lengths of time) 3 times for them to properly complete my brake job (which still isn't done yet). They set appointments and on average my vehicle has sat in their parking lot for over 2 hours before they pull it in.

Total of 7 hours wasted so far, right there. Not to mention they take 3x longer than the book says the job will take. The first time I showed up, it took 3 hours before they pull my vehicle in and they didn't 'finish' the job until 10pm!?!?! I waited there for nearly 12 hours for 2 front brakes?!?! WTF? Then fluid was leaking from both front wheels, so they had me come back.

Again 2 hours waiting for them to pull it in and realize they forgot to replace my axle seals during the job. And, they weren't going to fix it then and there, they wanted me to come back again. So I called them and again, they chose the day, date and time for my appointment. Now it has been over 2 hours since my appointment and my vehicle is still in their parking lot.

When asked they shrugged it off and simply replied and said 'Its a 6 hour job' Wow. Thanks for the heads up about that when you set my appointment. I'm astounded that this place was recommended to me by someone I (used to) respect. Terrible service. Don't recommend. They are 'nice' but they don't have what it takes.

This place is horrible. Probably my worst experience with car care EVER! We tried to have our front brakes replaced by this shop and after being in three times at this point, our brakes have still not been properly replaced, and we had to bring the car in again because they broke something the last time they were working on it. They seriously lag in getting your car in even if you have an appointment. and for sub-par work it really is not worth the wait.

The last time we were driving home, unsatisfied because they didn't finish the job only to notice they left our hood open! Avoid this place and you and your car will both be better off, seriously frustrating endeavor.

Used them in the past, will not, ever again. First bad experience, clutch replacement, first clutch disk failed after one week. Sent in to get the disk replaced. again, failed after two weeks, third disk was finally installed correctly. Second bad experience, car taken in for brake work. Afterwards, drove to San Francisco, while in San Fran, discovered that one wheel was not torqued down by the shop, required some repairs after road-side assistance had to be called to allow us to drive home.
