Our Story

Werner's Crash Shop was opened in late 1973 by Werner Kozber at 710 Taylor Avenue North on the south side of Queen Anne near the Seattle Center. It has been in continuous operation since that time. During the period from 1982 to 1992 Werner had two locations. The original on Taylor Avenue and another at 2600 -15th Avenue West on the west side of Queen Anne.

Last October I had my first wreck in more than 35 years of driving. Fortunately the only things hurt were my car and my ego. A series of calls from my car phone took me, in the tow truck with my banged up car, to Werner's where Eric proceeded to assure me - I mean really assure me - that both were totally fixable.

Getting my crew to stand still to snap a picture isn't easy. At Werner's it is my goal to make you feel at ease and let you know who is working on your vehicle. Eric worked as the Shop Manager for Werner's from 1986 until he was given the opportunity to buy the shop in 1998. Under his leadership the shop has expanded to take over the other half of the building, improve the paint booth to state-of-the-art and build a crew able to restore any car to like new condition.Jenna is the manager she takes care of working with our vendors to help keep everything running smoothly.
