Shield Towing

I am reaching out to fellow customers who have been defrauded by this company. My experience involves being charged a cancellation fee. I was charged for canceling the service after I had been waiting more than an hour past the time of arrival I was quoted. When I spoke with the driver of the tow truck he told me it would be an additional hour before he would be arriving.

I told him this was unacceptable, considering I had already waited an hour past the time I was quoted. The driver then suggested I cancel the service and informed me I would be charged a cancellation fee. I believe this company is operating fraudulently by booking multiple services that they are unable to fulfill and then collecting the fee for cancellation when the service is ultimately cancelled due to their inability to follow through.

It seems like a great way to make money from cancellation fees accumulated due to their own inept ability to manage their schedule. If anyone else has had this experience please contact me as I would like to take this matter to the district attorney.

I locked my keys in the trunk of my bmw. Michael showed up within 15 minutes and didn't give up until we got me keys out over an hour later - my car was tricky because of the security but he found a way! Totally worth the money. Service: Car lockouts

Guy did one heck of a job recovering a large machine from nearly toppling down a hillside. He was very determined in his actions to ensure the safe recovery of a 30K lbs. Lift from damage. In addition his response time on the scene as well as efficiency to completion allowed enough time in the day to complete the task we intended for the day.

I needed assistance with a jump start and Martin was dispatched to my location within 20 minutes. The whole process was seamless. Would recommend to my friends.

I called them because they had good reviews here. They quoted me $100 to $138. When the truck arrived, it was a different company and their price was $198. He had not heard of Shield Towing and had got my job from a broker. So I gave Shield a low rating because they should have told me they had no trucks available. I regard their actions as a form of bait- and- switch.

Thanks to Guy the two truck driver, he's the man for the job. His experience saved us from tipping over. He did everything possible to saftly pull us out of a rut. 36,000 pound manlift was no match for this driver. Guy your a life saver. Appreciate your hard work! Will never forget this experience!

Great service! Shield Towing came quicker than expected and the price was reasonable. The driver towed my car to the nearest auto shop and gave me a ride home.

Inaccurate quotes, was told that the service was 50$ for a jump start with a 30 minute wait or if I cancelled it was a 35$ charge automatically. Was called back 20 minutes later and was told 100$ for the same service. Argued my case but was useless and if I canceled it was 35$. Rent month so 100$ hurts and it's bad ethics to switch the price settlement. Take advantage of your situation. Had to cancel and walked home. Approach with caution. CONSUMER BEWARE!

Experience has been great with Billy and Elsa. Elsa was polite and professional on the phone and prompt with a quote and time estimate. Billy showed up right on time and had the vehicle hooked up with in minutes. The drive was smooth sailing taking it easy on the mean streets. Overall very pleased with the service and will use again in the unfortunate event that I break down again.

WARNING!The service is horrible. They were late for almost an hour than the time they promised on the phone and charging a lot more than they quoted. They charged $ 195 just to tow the car for 5 yards. They register a company called towing walnut creek but they are actually a company in Richmond. Keep lying about where they are and how long it takes them to get here. Also threatened to leave if I don't pay the price (which is way more than what he quoted, he quote for $125). STAY AWAY!

Quick service and decent prices. I left my keys in my car. So I called these guys and they came with in 10 minutes. I do recommend this to anyone out there.
