After an accident it is up to you to choose the repair facility that you feel will do the best job for you. Call the police if somebody is injured, if a vehicle can't be moved, or if the accident involved a hit-and-run driver. Your uninsured motorist coverage pays for a hit-and-run accident only if you report the accident to the police. 2. Get the other driver's information, including name, address, telephone number, license plate number, driver's license number, and insurance information. Your insurance company issues claim numbers at the time you report your accident. Just jot it down and bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, and we will do the rest. Parts are not always pre-ordered; usually would be a special case or quick job as we have to get approvals and do supplements and such, however in special cases we will order the parts ahead of time. A car is a 'total loss' only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company's determined value of your vehicle.
