I had a problem with my AT light coming on and my car going into a weird gear while I was driving and I immediately felt dread, however, I heard about Mcleod Auto and I called right away. The communication and service from there on out was fantastic! I got straight forward updates on the issues and diagnostic and repairs and was able to pick my car back up after a transmission fluid flush without having to spend thousands on nonsense transmission issues that others might have wanted to put me through. PLUS the before and after getting my headlights cleaned made my 13 year old headlights look BRAND NEW! I trust this place with my life obviously and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an honest, fair and quality auto shop.

My husband was working down at Eglin AFB and his engine seized, leaving him stranded on the highway on a Friday afternoon. He called numerous towing agencies in the area, and Mcleod's came through for him! They picked him up in a reasonable amount of time so he was not stranded for hours. They then took a look at his car and let him know what the issue was and were extremely helpful.

Being in an area he was not familiar with, hours away from home, and having zero access to a car was rough and they were so kind and understanding of his situation. Mcleod's is definitely an amazing and highly recommended auto shop!

McLeod's has been my go-to since leaving my last "big chain" mechanic shop. Chad is extremely knowledgeable and just as nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are able to accommodate me in a timely fashion as well. I have been very pleased with each visit.

Chad and Mcleods Automotive are undoubtedly top tier mechanics that have always gone above and beyond when repairing my vehicles. ASE Master Certified Mechanic Chad is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of vehicle repair, there is not a car, truck, van or SUV (even classic and muscle cars) that Chad cannot diagnose or rectify. Trust him and his staff for reliable, fixed the first time automotive repair and maintenance. I know I do.

Just arrived back in town and had to take BOTH of my vehicles in for repair. My Toyota Celica needed a harmonic balancer crankshaft pulley, and the truck needed a battery, alternator and throttle body. Chad and his team had both of my rides ready to roll in less than 48 hours. Thanks guys! Top notch work! Both vehicles run perfectly and we are freeeeeeeeee again!

The young lady that answer the phone was very nice and helpful and the gentleman was very knowledgeable that I talked to was top.eve tho I wasn't able to make my appointment.great place on future services.

Not only was their customer service great but they squeezed me in and got me back up and running in less then 3 hours. Honest, up front and great place!

The lady who helped me on the phone to get an appointment was really kind and the people there obviously knew what they were doing and explained everything to me where I could understand. They helped me with my car problem when others couldn't. I am definitely going to this place again if anything happens to my car.

No surprises. They fix what you bring it in to be fixed for and don't find a $1000 of additional problems.

Was great from the moment I called in and spoke to Richelle. Took my Audi in for diagnostics since I couldn't figure out the problem myself and let told me exactly what was wrong. Although I was unable to keep the vehicle they were still amazing with their service and I trust the mechanical capabilities

So. This review is very overdue-about 17 years overdue. Not sure if Mr. McLeod is still the head mechanic here (as I don't live in Florida anymore), but in my life so far, I know of just two mechanics that were honest and competent. McLeod's was one of them. The reason I searched this repair shop after all these years is because I was watching Scotty Kilmer on YouTube titled, "3 Mechanic Scams Caught on Camera", and thinking how rare honest and competent car mechanics are these days.

People think dealerships are trustworthy, but it's not always the case. Shops are hiring younger kids with little experience, no real training, and little genuine desire to fix cars but just doing it for pay in order to maximize profits (the love of money is the root of. evil). It's an absolute epidemic that's far worse than COVID. So either learn to fix it yourself or know that there's about 10% chance of finding an honest and competent mechanic.

It seems like Asian mechanics have a much higher chance of being honest and competent, but you'd have to network with Asian folks and ask around. Usually Korean and Vietnamese are decent. Anyhow, I shared my auto mechanic experience to say that McLeod's were amazing. Hope it's still the same!

A little miss communicating at first but the out come was superior

One of the cleanest and friendliest repair shops you will find in town! Locally owned and operated. You can always tell how good a place is by how many cars are there waiting to be fixed!

Excellent service. Reasonable prices and they actually FIX the things they say they will! Honest too.

Due to the onset of hurricane Michael we were unable to get in to have work done but the service writer took the time to have a look anyway and let us know what the problem was. This was a major lifesaver and I walked away with the confidence to be able to make it home. This man, (wish I knew his name), saved me a lot of worry by taking the time to give me info. If I am ever back in the area I will definitely do business here. So grateful!
