Established by Wayne and Judy Govert in 1983, we have since grown our business from a 2,500 square foot shop to a full service auto body and mechanical facility with over 40,000 square feet of usable space. The latest expansion occurred in September of 2006 with the addition of a new state of the art auto body facility in Merrillville at the intersection of Route 30 and Whitcomb.Proudly serving Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area with the utmost emphasis placed on customer satisfaction, we are always continuing education and striving to improve our business.

All of our mechanics are ASE Certified & follow the same standards of workmanship as our body shop. We are a full service mechanical shop that offers quick service & quality repairs.
Insurance Questions

May I select the shop that repairs my car or must I go where my insurance company directs me?. In the state of Indiana you have the right to have the shop of your choice repair your vehicle. Some insurance companies will "recommend" that you take it to one of their preferred shops. Govert is a preferred shop for many insurers, but ultimately the choice is up to you.
