The European Motorcars heritage was founded in 1983 by a European foreigner, Stanley Staron, who after working for other automotive dealerships developed a unique skill and sense of encouragement, decided to venture off and open a dealership of his own in Middletown, Connecticut. In 1998, a decision was made to transfer leadership of the company to his son Tom, who currently owns European Motorcars and serves as President.
