Owner and Lead Technician Karl Troy, opened European Road and Racing in 1990. Karl has excelled in every aspect of the automotive industry. Dating back to 1985, Karl was invited to work for BRUN Motorsport. While there, he prepared a Porsche 962 for the IMSA Series. During his travels around the world, he also prepared other 962s for the WEC (World Endurance Championship).

Karl Troy, owner of European Road and Racing was invited by Grassroots Motorsport to compete in the 2015 Ultimate Track Car Challenge at Virginia International Raceway (VIR). 52 of some of the fastest race cars in the country were going to go head to head and only one of them would take home the title.
