This is our GO-TO place for getting our vehicles repaired. They are top notch when it comes to service and repairs. They are family owned and operated, which we love. We see the Dad and Daughter combo in house practically every time we are in there, either answering the phones, talking with a customer or sometimes out in the parking lot looking at a vehicle.

They always get our trucks in as quickly as possible and within a reasonable amount of time and get them back to us pretty quickly. And they are always very happy to talk with either my husband or myself about what's going on with our vehicles. Neither of us ever feel as though we are being talked down to as we've often felt when talking to other mechanics from other shops.

They're shop is nice and clean and pleasant to be in and has a nice waiting area if you have to stay and wait. Always a pleasure to do business with them. I highly recommend them.

Wells Automotive - Raymond and Katie, and the rest of the professional staff - run, in my opinion, an extraordinarily knowledgeable, competent, well-organized, and, most importantly, honest shop. Ray diagnosed a tricky front-end problem that a prior mechanic elsewhere (who shall remain unnamed) had misdiagnosed and billed me for expensive, unnecessary repairs. Wells Automotive also ably installed a high pressure air conditioning hose in my 2001 Saab 9-3 SE (with 336,000 miles) - first time that I have had reliable air conditioning in several years! I strongly recommend their professionally run shop. I grabbed several of their business cards to hand out to others.

Our cars motor went up 6 days after getting it from drive time and wells did an amazing job The 2nd motor that got sent out was also blown so instead of just trying to make the money they argued withey argued with silver rock to get them to send another motor to make sure that the job was done right the answer all questions I asked called and gave me updates I spoke more to them than I did the actual finance company I felt like they fought for me Then my back was against the wall and a big finance company basically threatening my credit if I didn't keep a car with a blown motor Definitely Best experience yet today if they actually sold cars I'd rather go to them myself than dealing with broad timer anywhere else but thank God they are the ones that are fixing them

I had my Grand Caravan in for an ABS issue and rear A/C issue a few weeks back. The staff at Wells was quick to diagnose and fixed the issue without trying to charge for parts I didn't need. They even helped me out with the cost by saving me a couple hundred bucks off the original quote. It was very much appreciated. Update: Had my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe in for oil leaks and a brake issue. Wells worked with my warranty company and took care of the problems quickly and seamlessly at a fair price. I would definitely recommend Wells Automotive!

I am Very disappointed with Wells Automotive. My car shut down on a major highway while I was driving. All dashboard lights came on and power steering went out. This was an Extremely dangerous situation so I had it towed to Wells Automotive. They SAID they fixed the Alternator. Well less than a week later The same Dangerous situation happened on the highway.

I called Wells who said bring it back in, yet it was undrivable so they had to be talked to by my significant other then they sent a towe truck to get it, they said it was fixed. Now here I am AGAIN Only a couple of months later with the SAME Dangerous Highway situation happened Again on the highway for a 3rd time causing Another towe. Howard from Wells said they would call me by the end of the day, , well they did Not, the next morning I called them, This time I was told they used the cheapest parts because I had a warranty.

They must have got the parts from a junkyard Endangering my and my children lives Several Times. And I had to get a rental car each time. I am an Extremely Unsatisfied and feel mistreated. In response to my review response! To owner, I was Absolutely told by Howard of Wells Automotive that the cheapest alternator was used because of my warranty and when the 3rd incident happen, then I had to ask about using a different part and was told I would have to pay the difference of $53 which was covered Only after my significant other spoke with both my warranty company and the owner.

When my vehicle was towed the first time it was covered by My own insurance. The second time, when they spoke with my significant other, yes Wells did have it towed as it was their fault and the third towe I had to use My AAA coverage. So please be honest and accurate in your responses

I took my car in for a clicking noise in the right front wheel whenever it was torqued in forward or reverse direction. I also did much research on the likely cause (loose axel nut) and personally explained it to the mechanic. I then received a call back saying the cause was the motor mounts, and it would cost $2200 dollars to fix. I then called the dealer (JBA) to see what new motor mounts would cost and they said $1800.

I also doubted the Well's diagnosis as the cause of the problem and took it to JBA for a second opinion. JBA confirmed loose axel nut, and simply retorqued it to eliminate the problem. I spoke with the Wells owner and to his credit he reimbursed the diagnostic fee and apologized for the incorrect diagnosis. I may need new engine mounts some day but at this point there are no symptoms being caused by them.

I don't know much about cars or maintenance in general, but my boyfriend said he really enjoyed the service here, so I tried it out. In terms of emailing for estimates, they were nice and timely, and the people over the phone are friendly as well. I went for some preventative maintenance, and they were real thorough in their explanations of what I needed and what was like actually crucial. After the service they even sent me a thank you card in the mail! It was cute. They're nice people overall and I would go again.

Took my 2010 Malibu about a month ago and had $3900 of work done. The car sounds like it's going to fall apart. Took it back and they did nothing to fix the issues. If there were zero stars that would be my rating. When we left the lot around closing time I turned the wheel and it made a very alarming noise. The owner took it back in the service area but nothing changed.

Something was installed incorrectly and my wallet is still feeling the pain. Ray the owner contacted me almost immediately and we arranged for service. I guess 3 is the charm because this is our 3rd visit. The car drove exceptionally well on the ride home today (2/24/21). Thanks Ray for your quick response and making it right!

Made an appointment for 7:30 AM on a Monday for a state inspection. I dropped the car off the night before. I called at 11:00 AM for an update and they said it was next and they would call me when it's done. At 3:00 PM I receive a call that it was completed. I read the reviews and it seemed like a good small business to support outside of a big dealership. I'm new to Maryland and not sure how long inspections typically take, but I wasn't expecting that length of time. This was my second time trying this shop and had a similar time frame with both. Front desk people were very nice.

We just moved back to the area and of course, our Toyota Rav 4 conked out in the Walmart parking lot. Since I had no idea of where to find an honest mechanic, I asked my parents. They recommended Wells Automotive and I'm SO glad they did. I was unsure what actually went wrong so I loved the fact that the mechanic took his time and chased the problem back to the source.

Long story short, they were so precise figuring out what happened and it ended up being a combination of some alternator and electric issues. They were great and kept us informed of the problems they found and the repair costs for each. The repairs ended up being 1500 (we had a tire issue fixed as well) which was a very fair price for the work done.

The best part was that the mechanic didn't actually need to replace one of the items and it was put onto our bill. Not even aware of what happened, we got a call and REFUND for the 350$, I guarantee there aren't many mechanics that would have done that, since we had NO idea we wouldn't have been the wiser. We will be a customer for life. Thanks for being an honest, knowledgeable and efficient automotive repair shop!

Good place to take your car to get fixed or inspected. Very fast and friendly service. Luckily I am mechanically inclined and know how to work on cars. I had my car inspected there and if I didn't know how to fix my own cars, I would be out a whole lot of money. I couldn't believe how much these shops charge just to fix a few minor things.

I dropped off my truck to get a Maryland inspection, they finished in 2 hours and it only cost $97. Everyone was so friendly and they even sent me a Thank you card for using them! I will definitely be coming back if I ever need any mechanical work.

They did an excellent job on my tire alignment and were very reasonable in assessing my car for all other issues. I didn't feel like they were trying to get over on me in any way. The customer service was also on point and the lady who helped me was very easy to talk to. Did I mention it's more affordable than the dealer!?

Well, overall they seem like a nice mechanic shop. I recieved great costumer service in shop, they promptly called me when my car was finished, and I even recieved a lovely card in my mailbox from them, saying thanks for using them. So why only 3 stars? When they called me about my car, they told me it would cost over $500 to fix it. However, when I arrived in the shop and looked at the estimate, which includes the labor cost, parts, and even the tax, it was under $500. So where was the extra $100 coming from? Like many people, I struggle with money and I don't appreciate being told two different prices.

Hmmm been thinking about reviewing them for a while and after my last visit it was time to post feedback. I found Wells on yelp after moving into the area. My Ford Escape is getting up in mileage so I thought it best to be proactive and get a full inspection to see if I have any trouble spots to address. I took it in and was the very first person there at 7:30 when they opened.

They said it would only take a hour so I decided to wait. Well an hour went by and my car didn't move from the parking lot.fast forward 3+ hours it was finally done. Mind you nobody came in that morning after me. Ok I can deal with a little wait no problem especially if they are busy but it didn't seem like it. I get the full report and no major issues but a few items I thought best to address.

Fast forward a few weeks, I take it in to have it serviced for one of the issues. I wasn't going to wait this time but get a call half way thru stating I have a leaking water pump. They gave me a quote and wanted to know if I want that replaced too. I decided to call around to a few other 5 star mechanics first and received 2 quotes at half the price so I held off.

I believe and trust they do good work and are solid mechanics. However, I decided it best to give another mechanic a try after that. I assumed they would have caught that issue on the complete inspection a few weeks earlier!

I just had my 105,000 mile tune-up (Subaru Legacy) performed at Wells Automotive. This firm does a fantastic job: quality work, highly dependable performance, and priced at a fair and reasonable cost. I really can't say enough positive things about Wells Automotive. I am not a car mechanic so I need to trust and rely on this firm to make appropriate, honest recommendations regarding my car's maintenance regarding replacement parts, tires, etc. I highly recommend this firm if you are looking for a trustworthy auto mechanic. I needed to get a MD State inspection for my car that was purchased in VA. I checked reviews on Yelp and Wells seemed like the obvious choice in the Glen Burnie area. Making the appointment was quick and the appointment was drama free. Everyone I encountered were very pleasant and they sent me a "Thank You" card the next day! That was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend Wells!

Great repair shop. I needed my water pump replaced but didn't have the time to take care of it myself. They had my truck done in 1 day and at half the price of any franchise shop I got estimates from. The service manager was honest and very kind. Plus, a day after picking my truck up I received a $20 off coupon and card in the mail. I'd definitely recommend Wells to anyone who needs service!

I hate to write this review, but after numerous talks with my friends who are inclined in the automotive field, I feel as though they overcharged for a full brake line repair. I get that it's a labor intensive job, but $1700? Really? I've taken my car here a number of times (although I prefer Mike's by Arundel Mills because they offer a military discount) and I've never had an issue, but the most recent visit for my wife's car has made me reconsider returning here.

She has told me on several occasions that the woman who works at the front desk is rude to her. Once again, I've spoken to the same woman and she was nothing but friendly to me. I'm super torn because of their close proximity to our house, but this experience certainly hasn't been the greatest.

What can I say about this place that hasn't been said? Honesty and car repair usually do not go hand in hand. I've never found a place that I really felt cared about me and my vehicle until now. They tell it like it is, try to get you the best price, and don't try to get you like every other auto repair shop or dealership. I will never go anywhere else. This shop gets a 5 in my opinion! They were nice which is always always a plus! They were thorough with findings and they charged me way less than a previous company was trying to charge me. I read all the reviews prior to going but opted to go to another place because it was closer. Big mistake! These guys at Wells Automotive really are the best and this is a place you really want to take your car to be repaired! Kudos to all of them I came in contact with.

A family business with daughters and sons. Went here for inspection after finding them on yelp and going to another shop closer to my house. The inspecton cost more than other places but there was no second charge for inspection and I felt like I received a fair inspection compared to the first shop. I have had to wait quite a while with appointments.

They have automatic reminders, courtesy notes, and are very professional. I had a shaking in the front end and they were honest and said I only needed weights on the tires. I am a happy custumer. One customer came in while I was at the shop with her car not starting and they diagnosed it as a loose battery wire and fixed the problem at no charge. Wells has free coffee, wifi, tv, water and comfortable seating.

I was looking for a place to get my steering rack and pinion unit replaced and they got me in so quick (thank god). I called and talked to Sarah told her I needed my car fixed on Wednesday and told them I would really like if it would be done and ready to go for Monday. They got me in the very next day and my car was done on Friday night! They also found there were a few other things that needed replaced within the steering system and made sure they were fixed and ready to go for me.

They even worked with me as much as they could on the price which was amazing! They also explained everything to me so I would completely understand what all they were doing and why it needed to be done. Thank you to Sarah, Howard, Ray, and Matt for helping me out with my car. This is where I will be going from now on to get my car fixed. Very professional and friendly.

Great service, he always gets my car in and usually gets it done in at least a day or two, his prices are reasonable, he personally comes out to speak to me every time about my vehicle and explain thoroughly the ins-and-outs of the problem and and even gives me tips on how to avoid it in the future, secretaries really nice and even she knows a lot about what's going on, and I couldn't be happier as far as the knowledge goes at Wells with the owner and his technicians.

I've been going to him for years for my vehicle needs. He backs up everything with 100% warranty. All of his work is backed up and one time I even had a problem that went over into the next year and he still honored the work that he had done in the previous year even though it was a complete year later. Yes I would recommend Wells Automotive that wants efficient and quality work being backed up as much as possible and not being too expensive either.

I went there to replace my manifold gasket. The person whom gave me an estimate advised me the bolts sometimes break when pulling off the manifold (which I had heard previously was common). So she gave me a price to replace the gasket and replace the bolts if they snap off. I very much expected the repair to be on the higher end of the estimate. However, after the work was done I was told it went good and the price was actually the lowest estimate they had gave me. Honesty is key with a mechanic and I will always take my truck here in the future.
