In early 2000 Ultimate Transmission quietly started building transmissions and drive trains. Relying solely on their satisfied customers as their only form of advertising. With craftsmanship and quality in mind Matt and Dave found themselves working overtime to keep up with demand. As the shop grew and progressed into what it is today so did the power, increasing demands grew finding weak points with stock transmissions especially in the diesel world. More time and effort would have to be spent to match power with holding capacities and increase reliability. Not only using the highest of quality parts but the attention to details would make the difference.A sense of pride and a strong work ethic would be the base for Ultimate Trans to build on. Progressive thinking and a never say never attitude is crucial in an ever changing market.

I’d recommend these awesome guys to anyone looking for a transmission or any other automotive work. I went with a tow series 48re for my dodge and these guys took care of me like I was a brother. They know their stuff and use top of the line parts. I am very pleased with my experience and will definitely be coming back for any future work.

Our tranny went out just outside of mountain home on a road trip and even though they were booked out two weeks they got our truck in immediately and had us back on the road in just a couple days. Jake was very helpful. I hooked right up to our 10k lb toyhauler and went right over the blue’s with no issues at all. I’m very happy with the service and their product. They even gave us a credit for a couple of the parts that were in my old transmission!

It took the mechanic a few days to get to my truck , quite a few ahead of me, but once in the shop they were able to find & fix my oil leak of 10 years. Four different mechanics had looked at the leak & said it was too difficult to get to. All the mechanics i dealt with were professional & courteous, explaining What they were doing & what they found. Replaced parts were returned to me without me ever asking. Any future problems, with my truck, will be worked on at Ultimate. No more leak

I have had Ultimate's built 48re transmission in my 2006 Dodge for about a year now and couldn't be happier. With only one minor issue at the very beginning with a sensor going out which is very common in that particular transmission (nobody's fault), Dave made sure to get me in right away and the guys took care of it in a matter of half an hour. Ever since then it's been on many trips, dyno's and even a few 1/4 mile passes with zero issues. I love how firm truck shifts and how the converter locks up and I'm not afraid to beat on it every now and again, and I know it'll still get me home.

I took my 74' Scout to these guys following an attempted replacement of the flex plate by a local diesel shop which left my rig barely driveable. These guys were incredible; they fixed the shiftpoints, drivelines, replaced a number of leaks, transmission pan, plus more and stuck with the initial quote for parts & labor on a classic vehicle that has had a full after-market diesel engine swap + re-built trans (so you can appreciate the unforseens they encountered and were able to diagnose & repair).

Brought my aging 2004 RAM 4x4 to Boise from Bend, OR to have the transmission upgraded to their TOW package. I opted to use my existing case and they spent 4 days on the transmission, driveshafts and even replaced the rear main seal on my Cummins. They explained the work they were doing and the parts they were using. Complete PROS!

These guys are absolutely awesome. I generally do all my own work, but could not figure out what the problem was on my truck. I told them I thought I needed a new transmission or transfer case, and they discovered it was just a faulty neutral switch. Truck shifts better than ever before. They could have banged me for $2000 or more, and it only cost me $200. So pleased with their honesty, workmanship, and communication. Highly recommended!!!

These dudes are great for Allison transmissions. Brought in my 250k mile ‘06 Duramax with a toasted transmission. They have rebuilt Allisons sitting on the shelf so they were able to get it done quickly. They had the knowledge to recommend upgrades and they do the rebuilds in house giving them a super competitive price.
