I've had an intermittent issue with my truck since December. One so-called mechanic told me it was probably my injectors. Then he decided to replace both my batteries without even testing them. Second so-called mechanic swore he was the best at everything. He knew little about a diesel, just kept wanting to charge me to read codes. TransMedics came recommended to me and the gentleman I spoke with basically diagnosed the problem over the phone. Called it an easy fix.

He definitely knew his stuff. They fixed the problem, everybody was genuinely great to work with and their price was reasonable. What more could a person want? Cannot recommend them highly enough

Wish I didn't have to write a review but I am. My transmission went out in my Murano about week ago and went to them from recommendation of days Duty Tire. I was informed that my transmission went out they gave me an estimate and they told me it would be about a few weeks to get it fixed. Was frustrated at first since I was put into this position and I've only had the car for about three years and the car value is not that much compared to a new transmission + labor.

After about a day and a half was thinking I decided just to get my transmission completely replaced as I like the car that I have. I got a call this morning saying that my car was done and I actually was expecting for them not to get it done until next Wednesday, So it's awesome that it got done sooner than or what I expected. They were professional, They were fast, they were curious, they were very helpful. Hopefully I don't have to go back to them but if I do I would go back to them.

First time here after moving into the neighborhood. Very happy with the service and friendliness of staff. Job was done in half the time expected. I will definitely continue to give them my business as needed. Definitely give them a shot if you're still looking!

I brought in my 2007 FJ Cruiser because it was shuddering when changing gears. After a couple of days I got the call that the entire unit would have to be rebuilt, they quoted me a fair price and I authorized them to do the work. Several days later I got the call that it was ready to be picked up. I picked it up and drove home. After a couple of days though the shuddering returned- the exact same problem it went in the shop with.

I had to take the truck back over and go through the process a second time. They explained that this was due to a defective part that apparently came from Toyota that way. Maybe they should make sure parts are in spec before installing them? That being said, they honored the warranty and the service was good, but I cannot honestly tell you that the job was done right the first time.

I highly recommend Trans Medics in Raleigh. My car suffered clutch hydraulic-system failure during my road-trip from RI to FL. Trans Medics was recommended to me by another mechanic. They squeezed me into their work schedule, knowing that I was stranded in NC until they could get my car back on the road again. Ronnie provided excellent communication throughout the entire towing and repair process, and now the car runs great again.

I also noted how clean and organized their shop area looked when I was there (which is something that means a lot to me when I have someone else working on my vehicles). Overall, Trans Medics provided a great experience and resolved what started out as a catastrophe. I would definitely use them again if I ever need professional and courteous auto repair service in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Critical: Value I am not a customer, because I don't see a need to pay almost double the price I was quoted from a different highly-rated shop. The only reason for two stars is that they are a member of ATRA, but the price quoted ($4500) could buy several rebuilt transmissions.

Transmedics earned my complete distrust. I took my car here because it was having some transmission performance issues, hard shift and some slipping. They have a free diagnostic here which I initially thought that was nice. Got my car back by the end of the day with a $4000 quote for a transmission rebuild. The front desk guy said the very words "theres no magic formula or way to get around it, your transmission will need a full rebuild." What they FAILED to do was check the transmission fluid level and check to see if there was any leaks.

I took it to a different mechanic and they found a transmission fluid leak at the radiator, he said that that is where the transmission cooler was, and they would have to just replace the radiator and refill transmission fluid & coolant. So that was a $600 fix, and now my transmission is running smooth as butter! Replacing the radiator fixed the whole transmission performance issue. Had I signed transmedics paper, and gave authorization to rebuild my transmission I would have dumped my money into a pointless hole.

Moral of the story, if you want a FREE neglectful diagnistic only to dump your money into a hole, to discover that it didn't even fix the issue, then come here! Luckily I was a skeptic about it and took it to someone else. Hope this helps the reader.

Top notch transmission service business! Recommended to us by our main mechanic, Ernie Lee, and if Ernie recommends someone, you know they are solid. We had to have transmission work done on our daughter's vehicle - Ronnie was responsive, professional, kind and most important, honest. It was a very expensive 5 day repair, $4200, ouch, but the car is owned outright and unfortunately, has known transmission issues for the year of that model, so we felt it was worth repairing and keeping the car. Great communication along the way, easy to get to location and right next door to Henry's Muffler (who we also have used and highly recommend!).

Awesome! Ronnie and his crew were great! Honest, professional and affordable. They did a great job with repairing my transmission, and will be going back for future services! They ran a diagnostic for me after my engine light came back on at no charge(I needed the sensor reset from the first visit), which usually costs over $100 at other shops. Also the coffee offered in the lobby was great , will definitely be going back for future repairs/maintenance!

These guys are honest, up-front and fast! I brought my '94 Ford Explorer here for a transmission diagnostic. They told me it would need a rebuild and charged me nothing. I also brought my '07 Cadillac here to get several things checked in prep for a cross country move. They got back to me within 2 hours of dropping it off, had checked everything on my list and had answers, then recognized a used tire I had recently put on for a flat was old and unsafe. These guys go above and beyond, have competitive prices and are efficient at what they do! Go see them.

I've been going here for a few years now and wish I had found them when I moved to Raleigh 11 years ago. They are honest, trustworthy and reliable, with fair prices to boot. One thing that really made me smile today- took my car in for an oil change and inspection and had a low tire pressure alert on my car. I hadn't taken care of it myself because of the cold snap Raleigh has had lately.

I forgot to tell them about it ahead of time/ask them to inflate my tires. But when they gave me my keys back and I turned the car on, lo and behold, no error message - they'd inflated them for me. Not a huge deal, no - but I specifically asked a speedy oil change place years ago to inflate them and the error message was still there when I left. They also re-installed this plastic piece that I brought in that had fallen off my front wheel well - no charge. It's nice to feel taken care of :

We moved to North Carolina from CA and we were recommended to TransMedics for our car repair. I have to say they were absolutely great! The Service Manager Ronald R. was the best. We had our car back in a day which we thought it would take 3-5 days but we were pleasantly surprised. They were affordable and honest and didn't try to pressure us with other issues or repairs. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again!

I found Transmedics on the web, read the reviews and chose them to replace my transmission in my Transit Connect van. I'm glad I did. Ronnie was great. This is by far THE BEST service center I have ever visited. One company quoted me $6k for maintenance on my car and Ronald went above and beyond to find a reasonable solution, THAT WORKED for a fraction of that price. It feels good to know that a company truly cares about their customers and their needs, ESPECIALLY during an already stressful pandemic situation.

I was referred to TransMedics by family and this is now my new shop for life. I use to use a chain shop and I deeply regret it. I found out they were doing cheap and shady work on my car that I thankfully discovered before very serious damage was done to my car. My fist time at TransMedics was after a breakdown on the side of the road. I used the key drop caus it was after hours.

I was contacted the next morning about the problems everything was explained in detail and all my questions were answered. They are very transparent with cost and break down where your money is being sent. The broken parts were under warranty so they did not charge me for them and took care of the swap out for me. Repairs were done quickly and correctly and pricing is very fair for the work that was done.

It was later discovered that there were some more issues with my car. TransMedics did not stop until my car was in working order. They one again took the time to explain the problems how it would be fixed and broke down the cost. Once again the price was very fair for the work required and parts. TransMedics works hard to leave you completly satisfied.

The mechanics are very friendly and help you to fully understand what's wrong and what needs to be done in the event your not mechanically inclined. At TransMedics you get treated like family not just a customer. Service like this is very hard to come by these days. I would highly recommend TransMedics for all of your car needs from routine maintenance to repairs.

After several "transmission" specialists telling me the crunching doesn't mean anything and it was ok to drive my car. I then found TransMedics! Ronald and David listened, diagnosed and fixed my car. It has been over a month and we are so happy. It was affordable, I am so happy with their service. I trust them!

Ronny was great to speak and work with and a down to earth guy. These guys are straight shooters. I was referred to them by another local mechanic. Reputable and trustworthy, they will let you know if you have an issue, perform diagnostics, and get to the root of any problem (if one exists). Highly recommended.

My mechanic doesn't work on transmissions and they sent me to TransMedics in order to have the work done. This company was so incredibly awesome to work with. A lot of people have been turning me away due to having a warranty on my car. Not this company! They were really nice and friendly and worked with me and my warranty company to get everything taken care of. I don't think I have EVER had such a smooth process in getting my car fixed. Trans Medics was recommended to me from another mechanic who works only on Japanese cars. My son has a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee which needed some routine service and minor work. We were very pleased with the service and felt like they (David Sheets and his dad) were very honest, had our best interests in mind and weren't trying sell us anything unneeded.

We returned because we had to replace the transmission. We had a problem with it and they actually had it towed from Boone to Raleigh and fixed it no charge. I would highly recommend Trans Medics for any auto repair. Honest, great service, competitive pricing and true to their word. Excellent!

2004 Cadillac Deville in need of valve-cover gaskets and transmission pan gasket. Fantastic! I have finally found a mechanic that I can depend upon, especially in a pinch. In a nut shell, they quoted me one price, only to undercut that when all was said and done. They said the work would be ready in 4 days, only to have it ready in 3. But here's the best part.

They were closed on the day that I could only pick it up-on. The receptionist was willing to send her husband over on a day they were closed to meet me, so that I could get the key. Are you kidding me, the receptionist? Car runs great. They suggested a few other repairs that I wasn't ready to engage. No aggravating pressure to spend more. They even found a few things wrong, which they felt were not worrying about now. Large shop that gets the job done, effectively. Talk to Scott.

2002 Honda Civic with likely the original transmission and 160K. Just like the website says, they came and towed it from my house on Monday, and it was ready on Thursday. This was a full on rebuild. major surgery. Running great still today! Just a few months before I had the same problem in my 2003 Pilot and took it to another shop, who kept it for 2 weeks and it still leaks. David at TransMedics was friendly and honest, and I would recommend them to anyone with transmission problems.

Been doing business with them for awhile now, since back at there old location. They have always done great work and pretty reasonable on price. what more is there to say other then if your car is having a few issues give these guys a try.
