Found the problem that two other garages didn't. Refreshed my 1992 22RE Toyota pickup with 120k miles for 1/2 the cost of others. Service: Engine repair

Had my car towed in this morning (no appointment)with a bad starter and had it back ready to go with a new starter in the late afternoon. We'll exceeded my expectations!

Had them replace a turn signal bulb, also they replaced the engine coolant. I found their prices to be very reasonable. Service: Oil change

Better pricing than lexus dealer for same work. Highly recommend them. Service: Auto maintenance

Kelly is gone, Tom is gone, Tim is gone. New owner, higher prices, no staff, "can you hold" every time we call to check on car because they never call with updates.

Trash. They charged me $1,900 to fix my air pump for climate control which I had to get a loan for, which broke a year later. Awful. Okay with taking advantage of people without car knowledge. They keep getting sued for screwing people over. Not surprised they're not in business anymore.

I will start this off by I never write reviews for places but I felt it was necessary for this place. I had a misfire code in my forth cylinder and after messing with different fixes for it I could not get it fixed. I called Toy Doctor to get my Land Cruiser in and they were able to get my car in the next day and begin diagnosing the problem. It ended up being a fuel injector that went bad and for the amount of time they put into finding the problem I felt the price was justified. Thank you guys for the help!

Not Impressed, I called this shop to have a lot of work done on my Honda Accord. The person who answered the phone was helpful and answered my questions. A few days later I called back to ask if I need an appointment however, no one answered so I left a message with my number for a call back. It has been two weeks since I left this message and as of yet, I have not received a return call.

I called them a few days later and this time the person who answered the phone sounded like he had just woken up from a deep sleep as he seemed confused and said just bring the car in and hung up. The next day I called back again to find out if they would be able to drive me back to my home, which is about one mile away. Again the person who answered the phone sounded like I had just woke him up from a deep sleep.

This time however, he seemed annoyed that his sleep was interrupted. If this is how Toy Doctor treats perspective customers, I shudder to think the type of service they provide. The disdain shown to a potential customer left me with a bad feeling about this business and therefore I decided to take my business elsewhere and received excellent service by a reputable establishment.

The last thing I need is a shop that can't communicate appropriately, does not seem to care at all about customer satisfaction and has my car hostage. No Thank You! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

These do great work. I've used them several times and they have always done a great job and quickly. They are very competitive and would use them over a Toyota dealership anytime. Thank you Danny for the excellent service.

My husband and I have been going to the Toy Doctor for years and both agree they are the best! When I was a single woman I had dealt with many unscrupulous mechanics but there is nothing but honesty and ethics with this company and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Toy Doctor, you won't be disappointed!

Toy Doctor has always done the work on my vehicle. I have always been 100% satisfied with service and repairs. They have been nothing but honest and fair. I highly recommend them for a your import needs.

This place is awesome! I was quoted for repairs on my car at Les Schwab that totaled over $1700. I did some shopping around and the lowest I was quoted was $950. I got a lot of recommendations for toy doctor so I went to check them out. They charged if a $40 fee for diagnostics to see if I needed repaired what was told to me. It turns out that a lot of what needed repairing was actually just parts to those larger parts.

For example, I was told I needed a brand new swaybar which totaled over $350 when in fact I just needed a sway bar link and the link cost $40 to fix. Anyway, at the end I was quoted around $535 for repairs for everything. I was thrilled to hear this! I made an appointment and got my car in. They were able to get me in right away and did a fantastic job!

My car runs better than ever and they back up their work. I would absolutely recommend toy doctor to anyone! Definitely have them check your car out if you are being quoted high amounts for repairs. They won't fix anything that doesn't actually NEED to be repaired!

These people should be ashamed to call themselves mechanics! I took my Lexus in there, there's supposed to be Toyota experts, and they tell me it has a timing chain leak, and that the aftermarket rims could somehow affect the operation of the four-wheel-drive system. Even though I'm not a stupid person and I realize there is no way the aftermarket rims could affect the four-wheel-drive system I take the vehicle to Lexus.

And they confirm that I am right. The aftermarket rims will in no way affect the four-wheel-drive system. Nor the way it operates! Also there is a very small amount of moisture around the timing chain gasket! Definitely not a leak and absolutely nothing to be concerned about! Thank God for the real mechanics at the Lexus dealership! They should be ashamed to have Toyota in their name! They are not deserving! By all means go here if you want ripped off!

We have been clients of Toy Doctor for 24 years. They have always done a great job with our cars. No complaints. Have enjoyed working over the years with Kelly and Tom and now new front-end person, Danny. We can always trust that they will only do what needs done and no more-unlike the dealerships; and their prices are very reasonable. I don't know what we'd do without them.

I feel it necessary to explain to all the possible future unsuspecting consumers out there who are even thinking about using "The Toy Doctor" to realize that every one of the "good" reviews posted were from when it was owned by the previous owners. I also feel it necessary to update the last review.after being served a court summons which they never even answered, they received a default judgement! Please see below for full review!

I just picked up my 94 4Runner from the shop. Popped the hood and saw one of my belts was installed upside down. It's a Gates belt with teeth so I'm laughing that I'm going to have to fix this myself. This is a little embarrassing guys because this one is pretty obvious. Otherwise everything else is fine. Please double/triple check your work. UPDATE: This is how it's supposed to be installed.

Great experience with Toy Doctor. Had issues with our van and got a call that all was good and a great explanation. This place has earned my business as I can already tell they are extremely honest. This is refreshing in this type of industry. Ask for Kelly he is a great guy.

I used to like this place. They were great the first time. However, I am in the middle of dealing with them and I do not recommend ANYBODY ever go here! I took my car here on October 6th. I need a new engine. My radiator is cracked. And I need a new battery. They said it would take 2 weeks. They also promised to call and check in every few days. They have not done that.

We have had to do all the checking in. It is now October 26th and they STILL have my car. And they keep extending the date that it will be completed by. If you can't do something in a certain amount of time. TELL me. I won't mind. But don't get my hopes me, have me make plans, and then the day of, tell me that it will not be finished for at least 4 more days.

I know they are working with several companies.but still. They are not professional by any means. They will not be getting the full amount. This is probably the worse customer service I have ever had. I would blame it on the fact that I am a female, but my moms husband is a Lawyer so he has been doing the communicating and it is just as convoluted and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I might have my car by next week. If I didn't have my mom's car to use I would be stranded.

I felt horribly scammed by the service we had done. My son's Camry broke down on the side of the highway and we had it towed to the Toy Dr. as they were the closes Toyota repair facility. Initially they told me the engine had to be replaced. Options were used or reconditioned. I paid fully list price for a used engine, then they said the motor for the A/C was out and it would be another $600 (it worked when we brought it in, but saw how it could have been related).

Then when the car was finally ready my son drove it off and day #1 the radiator over heated. He called Toy Dr. immediately who checked it and said it would be ok. Then every day it would overheat and he'd call the Toy Dr. who said to fill the antifreeze which he did. Bottom line he brought it back in and they said the radiator needs to be replaced for $400.

They know exactly what they're doing to make more money off of unsuspecting clients. STAY AWAY or you'll be in the same scenario. I had him take it to another shop that can be trusted.

I have been a loyal customer at the TOY DOCTOR in Tualatin for the past ten years for my Avalon and Subaru and have ALWAYS had a most positive experience. Honest, efficient, accommodating, fair repair fees. I love Tom and Kelly. I see them as "friends". I cannot recommend more heartily.

Although I wrote a raving review about Toy Doctor 8 months ago, that Pathfinder succumbed two months later to a head gasket & coolant leak. Understanding they could not have foreseen this in the earlier tune-up, where they bit us was their price increase of about $400 when we returned 2 months later to proceed with the repair. At that point, we decided to part with the vehicle since it just wasn't worth paying $2100 for an '02 Pathfinder with a KBB value of $4K.

We decided to give Toy Doctor another shot later that month when our second vehicle required a tune-up and needed some starting problems looked into. After $600 & two weeks later, we called Toy Doctor complaining of the tachometer needle going nuts and was told that was normal especially with new distributors. Two months later, our '94 Accord finally bit the dust on Scholls & Hall. We're done with this place. This is what I get. Never again will I ask my mother-in-law for an auto-shop recommendation.

My family has been taking our cars here since I was a kid, Tom and Kelly do a fantastic job even though most Toyotas don't need much work. I highly recommend them for repairs and routine maintenance.

I have taken my Toyota Truck here for years. They always end up having the best prices for the parts and services I get quoted on, and I have never paid more than what they have quoted me for. I have tried other mechanics in the area but the service has never compared. I recently needed a new CV Joint for my truck and the Toy Doctor's cost was about $100 less than all the other mechanics I got quotes from. The Toy Doctor has continued to do a great job and I wouldn't want to take my Toyota Truck anywhere else.

Took my Previa in with a noise coming from the rear. The diagnosed it and replaced a wheel bearing and seal for a reasonable price. Will go back when I need more service.

I had a new timing belt and water pump installed at the Toy Doctor and was pleased with the quality of their work. We left the car with them while we went on vacation, so they had adequate time to perform the repairs. The price for the repairs were in line with other quotes. Will use them again when I need repairs performed on my Mazda's.
