So my air conditioner was just fixed and that mechanic messed up the shifter on the steering wheel so when I was in "drive" my sensor read "2" instead of "d". That mechanic wouldn't fix this and he also was responsible for other problems so I came here instead. Last time we came they over charged us for what they did. My car still doesn't run and how much did they take from me?

More than 8x what it's worth. More than 5k. They were supposed to get it all nice and drive worthy. I still can't drive it. But since we keep getting screwed with mechanics we had nowhere else to go. They fixed my shifter here. Awesome. It was raining that day. The day after Mother's Day I flew to Cali for more than a week and when I returned it was HELLA hot.

It rained all Mother's Day weekend so I didn't ever get warm enough to see that the air conditioner is not working. But on the first hot day of the season, I have no choice with my ms. They must think we are a bank or something. My truck is more than 20 years old. They was almost $$1500 to fix THEIR MISTAKE. We want you to fix what accidentally happened when you worked on the truck last.

I came to get my stereo done and you guys knew that. I get there and the guy didn't even come in today. Maybe you might have wanted to tell me so k didn't have to lug all the speakers with me for no reason. And then I had to unload them back into the other vehicle Since I didn't want to just leave the speakers/subs/amp/tweeters and cords in the truck. Cuz his guy didn't show up to work.

But did he think to call me and share that? I am beginning to get more and more disappointed with this facility and when I am more calmed down I will be writing another review. If you have money to blow, look no further. If you're a disabled, single parent-maybe think twice. Seriously charging us that much when it WORKED the day I brought it in to you. Wow. Just wow. That's real nice. I wonder how everyone reading this would feel if they were also forced to pay for he mistake in which yob

I tried Todays for the first time a few years ago when my alternator went out in my 2007 Honda. They did a great job taking caring of it. Went back a while later for another problem starting my car and they also took care of that no problem. Appreciated their work on my electrical issues. Recently I called asking if I could bring my car back again to diagnose a loud whine.

I was told they were going to be closing down for a week a few days later, but they would still look at it. Dropped it off and got a call later that they thought it was a faulty alternator they installed a while back and they were going to replace it under warranty. They did that, but I got another call the next day that the whine was still there.

They thought it might be related to power steering and we're going to replace a part. A few days later came and picked up my car.the whine was still there. I was told that it was quieter but it was likely still there because it was just an old car. I couldn't take the whine anymore so I took my car to Honda. The service dept. had me start the car upon arrival and he was able to diagnose my whine instantly.

It was my AC compressor. They replaced it and sure enough my whine was gone when I picked it up. Not sure why Todays couldn't figure that out, but needless to say I unfortunately won't be going back.

My girlfriend's Mini Cooper had been diagnosed by her favorite mechanic as having a bad #4 fuel injector. Because of a death in his family her mechanic was unable to fix her car in a reasonable amount of time. On the advice of myself and another friend, she took her car to Today's Auto. Without diagnosing the problem they replaced the #4 fuel injector on my girlfriends word alone.

It did not fix the issue! So, they hooked up the car to the diagnostics machine and it told them the car had a bad ignition coil. Today's installed a new ignition coil and the car runs great. The problem is: they charged her for the parts and labor of installing the #4 fuel injector based only on her word. Of course they also charged her for parts and labor of replacing the ignition coil.

We feel it is unreasonable, irresponsible, and borderline unethical to charge her for fixing a problem they themselves did not look into. The normally nice, friendly, and jovial Wes treated my girlfriend rudely and roughly on each occasion she dealt with him. Twice on the phone, when she dropped off the car, and when she picked up the car. It ended up costing her close to a thousand dollars. 80% of which didn't help the car at all.

My car needed to be "brought back to life" because it had been just sitting in my fathers driveway for a few years becaus I had recently become unable to drive it. As a result, the battery was dead, the fluids all needed to be replenished and old ones flushed etc. the right tire arm needed repairing/replacing and my vehicle was towed to this location.

My car to be fixed cost over $3,000.00! When we got there to get it, I asked if they flushed the piles, transmission/anti brake/windshield fluids-basically any fluids which would have been old or evaporated by now, should have been replaced and rejuvenated. They said they put a new battery in I highly doubt that because not even a week later and it died.

The battery no longer works. I haven't been able to call them because my disability is worsening and I'm sick frequently. But I shouldn't have to be calling and checking in or up on these people who just took all that money from us for repairs. What did you do with all that money if my car still isn't working? Oh, any by the way-we went to get the car and they offered to tow it home to me (it's on a non op and isn't registered so it's not street legal at the moment.) and when my uncle and I got there they said they charge 60/80$ to tow it back to my home!

They didn't say that on the phone! Made it seem like they would be nice enough to help out cuz AAA didn't wanna tow it back if it's a working vehicle. They said it's not in their capability. That's when Todays Automotive said to me "we can tow it back for you, don't worry" well, after we shell out that kind of money I would hope someone would want to do something nice for the customer in order to keep them wanting to return. But nope. These people are questionable at best.

Excellent customer service and turn around time! I brought my Honda here because it had a check engine light and some other issues. They fixed everything in a reasonable amount of time and updated me throughout the process. I am very happy to have my car fixed and back on the road.

These guys are AMAZING. I called them in a panic on a Thursday morning because my car was acting funny. I was able to drop it off shortly afterwards, and they gave me a ride home. Within 48 hours, they ordered the parts for me, repaired EVERYTHING, picked me up and got it back to me by Friday afternoon. If you need help, this company will go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need.

What an AMAZING job! Couldn't be happier with my experience at Today's Automotive! They have definitely won me over to return as their customer! Mike promised me in at 7:30 and diagnosis by noon but by 10:30 he called and my job was done! Not only that but we thought it was going to be a big expensive electrical repair and it turned out to be a quick inexpensive fix, which they could have actually lied about but didn't! I respect that and appreciate you Mike snd team! Job well done!

My radiator went out just as I got to work and I had to have my car towed to get repaired. My normal shop couldn't get to it for several days, so through Google, I found Today's Automotive and was encouraged by the positive reviews. After talking to Michael on the phone, he gave me a fair quote and was able to get my car in right away. After replacing the radiator, the water pump began to leak (gotta love 17 year old cars).

After another day of work, the new water pump, belt, etc. was installed and I was back on the road. As a single mom just trying to have a safe vehicle, I greatly appreciated everyone's effort to get it done fast and right. I will be going back when the need arises. Thank you!

Took my truck in for a “diagnosis” and upon arrival they asked us our concerns. And we stated them. 4 hours later they finally started checking into the truck. And said oh yeah that’s an issue. Not straight to the point, and didn’t answer our questions of cost or explanation. Then Later in this conversation, added that there was this issue... we asked about the cost again.

They didn’t find out the cost or wasn’t sure. We waited for their phone call to hear on the prices. And 2-3 hours later, my husband called them and they still didn’t look for the price for one part that we asked for. Like what have you been doing all this time?!
Diagnose fee wasted. They didn’t even write and print up a report for us. Definitely a fishy business. I want my money back.

Grandma from out of town I just had my tail housing adapter put in by them give me a quote at for $500 roughly came out to be $750 or $669 doesn't want to shift right underneath the vehicle and my wiring harness three of my wires were ripped apart they didn't bother to try to fix those or let me know even though I knew about him when it had happened at this.

They would fix it but that's what I get for thinking other than that I give him a thumbs up and thumbs down maybe two thumbs down I'm not satisfied had to drive an hour back poking in my truck with a breakdown again

I brought my 97 ford e150 to today's automotive after changing my timing chain my self to have valve cover gaskets professionally installed no small task on a econoline van. They matched a very local quote! And also they were available to do the job the very next morning. So I said ok. After the job was completed they also found another leaking plug.

They were very honest and told me 1 of the 2 valve covers that I installed was good and only had to replace one side on my v8 engine and of course the leaking plug was removed and replaced. As a convenient open on Saturday I picked up my van the staff was very polite and the manager came to the front and talked with me about my engine the total job was actually $135.00 under the quoted price.

I hav never had a shop charge me less than quoted. NICE! Did I mention that they have a shuttle to drop you off at home and bring you back to pick up your vehicle. I am a new customer. FOR SHURE

I brought in my 06' Audi A4 for check engine and AC repair. I go my quotes for the repairs and given routes I could go with. I ended up going for repairing the whole situation and was extremely satisfied with the service. Since the repairs, I have had zero issues and the car runs smoother than before. Today's Automative has worked with two of my family members car and this is the third one now. I would recommend to friends and family.

We towed the car into their lot on a U-haul car dolly. We had to push it off the dolly since the engine had a hole in the oil pan and could not be run. We brought in our own part from a special order from O'Reillys, because our initial plan was to fix it ourselves. The car was finished the next morning. Great job. They came highly recommended from many sources.

Todays automotive is great! They are always really fast to get our cars back to us! They also charge far less then many other shops in town. Since finding them we havnt taken our cars anywhere else. So glad we now have a reliable affordable and fast mechanic!

While buying a used truck on a Saturday, I used yelp's "request a quote" feature for a pre-purchase inspection mechanic. Today's Automotive responded right away and got me in immediately. They were thorough, fast and super reasonable. Great communication, great facility, extremely nice people. Honest and very friendly. Thank you for helping me set my mind at ease with a great inspection for a great price and right away. Couldn't have been better. Perfect in any way.

Brought a vehicle I was considering purchasing in for a complete new vehicle inspection. Wes said they found nothing wrong. I completed the purchase of the vehicle, drove it from Salem home to Portland where it was making a loud noise. I brought the vehicle to a mechanic in Portland who put it on a lift and found a major issue with the right wheel hub which was dangerously worn and missing bolts.

The mechanic could not believe Today's automotive missed it. I paid over $500 for the repair which the dealer I purchased the vehicle from said they would have fixed if Today's Automotive had found it. I explained to Wes what happened, and sent pictures of the damaged hub. Wes said to me by phone "It's our fault, we overlooked it", but we will not reimburse you for the repair.

Stay away from this place. Missing a major issue during a new car inspection speaks volumes about this place. Very poor mechanical service and even worse customer service. Coleen Oliva. Portland Oregon

So grateful to Wes and the TA team for fixing my car's thermostat and having it back to me same day! I drive a LOT for work these days, handling pandemic disinfection of local grocery stores, so my car is my mobile office. I found them in Yelp and they got me in within the hour. Provided me with a ride home while my car was fixed. Wes communicated the whole time and had the car back better than ever same day! And for a VERY reasonable price! Will definitely be back! Response to my previous review after the owners comment: Honestly I find your comment condescending. The way we were treated while we were there was also part of why we felt a little screwed over. We were spoken to like we were stupid, and I feel like with your response here on Yelp you have continued to talk to us like we're stupid. We came to you for a little help and hoped to find a friendly local honest business.

Yes the car started the next day, but you gave us no answer as to what was wrong with the car. I understand it's hard to figure out sometimes. Sometimes there is no answer. But we left feeling even more confused and upset. And I'm sorry but $425 for everything you say you did, is still ridiculous. You looked at the car for one hour. One hour. Perception is reality. Regardless of the facts you listed below. If it's possible, we are now even more disappointed with this business.

While trying to change the settings on the HVAC system in my car, the knob broke off in my hand. Unwilling to attempt the repair myself, I contacted the local dealer, who gave me a quote of almost $500 for the fix. Yeesh. I decided to check with Yelp for a shop with good reviews. Michael from Today's Automotive was the first to respond, and after getting my car info, texted me a quote at almost half off the dealer estimate -- and that included getting the repair part *from the same dealer*.

Worth a shot, I thought. Repair day came. I dropped the car off, and Michael gave me a ride back to my house. The communications were excellent; Wes was very careful to let me know that they couldn't get the repair part with the silver knobs like the one that failed (I didn't care). They had my car finished before I was even ready for it. Held onto the car for a few days until I was back in town, then sent a driver to pick me up. Perfect repair, reasonably priced, great service. Can't ask for much more. They earned my return business (hopefully, not anytime soon).

Timely appointments friendly people but most importantly honest! Took my daughter's car in uncertain why the air conditioning was not blowing cold air. Knowing that it was not just needing to be recharged and fearful it was the compressor, a super expensive to repair. It ended up that a bolt had fallen out! They located the bolt put it back in and everything works perfectly. Definitely will use these guys in the future.

I took my car to Today's Automotive for some work on the starter. No appointment. They were great. Gave me a ride to work, and completed the work in less time than originally anticipated. No more starter problems. My girl starts up every time. Huge thanks to Wes and crew!

We were driving down the I-5 when the water pump went - It was the hottest day of the year and late in the day. Todays Auto was wonderful at helping us immediately. The did the repair the next morning and we were on our way by noon that day. Michael even drove us to a hotel so we had a place to stay over night. He even picked us up in the morning. They are a great team and provide wonderful service! We made it safely home to Canada.

Super easy to set up an appointment. I used their online request application. Wes called first thing in the morning and identified the issue. They have a courtesy van. Service was super quick and the price was fair. They also had complete record of my prior service. Later I called them because someone rear-ended me and I needed an estimate. The owner Michael Um gave me a good recommendation an auto-body shop. These guys are good and honest and they work with good and honest people in the industry.

OK- here goes. You're not gonna believe it either! I call my Allstate roadside assistance because on my way to get new tires at Les Schwab, I got a flat tire- they send Todays Automotive from Salem to me in Dallas. So 45min later they show up. I tell him the tire shop is a mile away and he can add air and follow me there."Uh, I don't have an air compressor" Of course not you're in a car!

After 20 min of him diddling with my tire I walk to his car and he's watching a video! He says he's not sure how to remove the spare tire from my truck. A few minutes later as I'm on the phone with Les Shwab for them to come air my tire---FOR FREE---- he comes up to my window and asks if I have any tools to help him get the tire down! NO! I tell him never mind, and Les Shwab guy comes to my rescue! True Story!

Our car broke down on I-5 by Salem, OR and AAA agent has suggested this shop to take our car to. Great experience overall: staff is friendly and helpful (they offered us a ride to place we could eat at while waiting), quality of repair, timing (we were super lucky they had part for our car in the shop), and in fact we had liked Salem as one of the stops now while traveling up and down I-5 because of that experience. The shop is very clean and well organized, and wait area is set up with families in mind. Totally would recommend it!

Appreciate professionalism, staff friendliness, 'chauffeur me' service, and quality of work. The most difficult issue on last visit was having my car there nine days, due to the machine shop they use. Many cancellations in my schedule due to that hold up. Still, I highly recommend Today's Automotive, and will continue trusting their work with my car!
