Taylor's Auto Body Shop celebrates twenty six years of service to Charlottesville, Albemarle and surrounding localities. We began our family owned and operated business in 1986 and twenty six years later we are still a family owned and operated business. We operate on the same principals today as we did in 1986.
Our unibody and frame measuring needs are handled by our Chief Velocity. It is a fully digital measuring system. It enables us to perform precise measurements and restore your vehicle as close to pre loss condition as possible. In an effort to duplicate original factory welds, we use the finest resistance spot welder available. It has a water-cooled head and enables us to duplicate factory like spot-welds on applicable replacement panels.
They are completely computer controlled to ensure your automobile is refinished in the best possible environment. Fully filtered ceilings and floors keep the air as clean as possible. We maintain an onsite inventory of water based paints that enable us to duplicate the paint match on your vehicle as close to factory as possible.
We also have Hunter's latest tire mounting machine and balancer. We are able to mount almost any size tire without actually touching the rim with a tire tool. The road force balancer checks your wheels and tires for inconsistencies and balances them for the best possible ride. We also continue to do our air conditioner work and associated mechanical in our mechanical area.

I CANNOT recommend Marcie and her team enough! I was hit by 1 (maybe 2 deer) broadside going 55. The deer impacted my Driver's side rear door and frame mainly with some other damage to driver's door and bed. I can't even tell where the damage was after getting my truck back from Taylor's. No seams, welds, anything! Completely perfect paint match as well.
These guys are true PROS. They even helped me with the insurance company to ensure that all the damage would be properly insured. Thank you to Marcie and the entire team at Taylor's Auto Body!

Everyone at Taylor's Auto Body was great. Nicole as well as the other receptionist was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is happy. They kept in touch with me during the repair. They cleaned my car before returning it. They made the experience really nice and my car looked great. Perhaps most importantly, the repair was thorough and well done.

This place is amazing! Auto Body Tech removed a surface scratch made by Harrisonburg Honda when they claimed "we didn't do it" after servicing my car. I went to Taylor's primarily to get an opinion and estimate on what it would take to repair a vertical scratch on my passenger door. Not only did the tech show real interest, he buffed it out while I was waiting in only half an hour!
Come on, now! I rarely see such great customer service, and when I do a business gets an excellent review. Reminder from a few prior reviews - Call to make an appointment first. Personnel in the office are equally great too.

I just would like to personally thank Travis Whitt and all the employees at Taylor's Auto Body Shop. My car was hit at work while it was parked and between VaCorp, Taylor's, and Enterprise, the experience wasn't as bad as one would think. I got a quick and reasonable estimate from Travis, Enterprise gave me an awesome rental, and when I picked up the car it was cleaner than the day I bought it from the Mercedes dealer. HIGHLY recommend this body shop! Thank you again SO much! My car is beautiful!

We've used Taylors Auto Body for many years 10+, we never had an issue and the work was always top notch. It had been quite a while since our last use of thier services, a bullet hole in our ford escape, but this time a deer strike, could have been worst but new tires and breaks a couple weeks before make it less traumatic. the had my car repaired faster than the quoted time. i was shocked, and very happy, when we went to go pick up our car it was crazy seeing all the customer cars that still waiting to be worked on. and grateful for their quick turn around on this repair. i recommend them because you know your in good hands!

I was in a wreck and the other driver admitted fault. My insurance company left me to fight the other insurance company by myself. Taylor's Auto Body realized immediately I was struggling so they offered to take over all conversations with that insurance company. They fought for me and were able to get the repairs completed with original Chevrolet parts.
This was during a GM strike so everything took longer (just over two months) and the situation was even more stressful. The also did a superb job of completing all repairs, and their communication was amazing. Once they took over, I had complete peace of mind. I am so thankful for Taylor's Auto Body. I hope you don't find yourself in a situation where you need them, but if you do, I highly recommend them.

Recently my wife had her 2017 HONDA PILOT worked on at Taylor's Auto Body Shop. From all the wind we have had recently, a large branch fell on her car. From Auto Body shops I have dealt with in Richmond and others, this place by far surpasses them in Professionalism and Quality of service. To sum up our experience in one word. EXCELLENT! Google review, if you had more stars. I'd give this body shop more. Great Job and thank you Taylor's Auto Body Shop. You have a real skill! Keep up the great work!

At first we balked at the 17-day repair quote but they finished the car in exactly 17 days so we were very happy with that. Then we pick up the car and not only was it beautiful and as good as new on the outside [fantastic repair job and they thoroughly washed it] but they had also detailed the inside! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the gentleman who gave me a ride to work when I first dropped off the car; I can't remember his name but he was so nice and we had a great conversation along the way! A+++

Did some great work repairing out car after it was hit in an accident. Very friendly and easy to work with staff helped the whole process run smoothly. We have difficulty with the tire pressure as many 07s do and we came in for our appointment just as the tire pressure light came on and they filled it up for us without us even asking, great service!

Really good experience. My wife rear ended another car and thankfully no one was hurt. Our van needed extensive repairs. This was a couple of years ago. Our van came back perfect. I fix things myself and do a lot of base auto maintenance so I know how hard it is to do everything perfect, but they did. Van looks great, it runs great. Absolutely zero problems and I thought I should commend them on that.

Did an EXCELLENT job. My Tundra was hit by an idiot with his face buried in his cell phone. Taylor Auto Body in Charlottesville returned it to NEW looking! Last time I had body work done (NOT by Taylor) they didn't match the paint. The shop used the 'stock color number for model and year of vehicle', and with sun and time, the color didn't match.
No such problem with the paint from Taylor Auto Body. PERFECT match on the color. You cannot tell there was any work done on my truck. I could not be any happier with the work they did. Thanks, Taylor Auto Body for giving me back my wonderful Tundra!

I've had body work done on two cars at Taylor's: a Mazda 6 and a Nissan Maxima. I'm both cases, we (spouse in #1 and me in #2) had been rear-ended by another car. These were insurance claims, but Taylor's technicians did an exceptional job: repair and paint work were first-rate. I had been told Taylor's was the best in town and insisted the insurer use the for our work.
As another reviewer noted, they require an appointment to inspect the car and estimate the work. I called ahead on each case to make an appointment. Simply plan ahead and it's no problem.

I had a great experience at Taylor's. Needed to replace and paint a piece of trim on my vehicle. It wasn't a result of an accident so I was paying out of pocket. Brown's wanted to charge a $50 fee just to do an estimate. Taylor's doesn't. I already had an idea as to what the repair should cost because I got an estimate from my dealership in Alabama.
The dealership here wasn't equipped to handle the problem. Taylor's came in $30 under the dealership estimate. They were transparent, courteous, and professional. The car was ready in the time frame that they'd proposed. Bonus points for cleaning my car (it was a disaster) and a thoughtful gesture (or just good business). I'll go back without a second thought if the need arises.

Not to be trusted. Shady place. Did an estimate for repairs on a vehicle. Got a figure. And then once this shop found out about the amount that was paid out to me by the insurance company, my estimate magically changed all of the sudden to closer reflect the amount given to me by the insurance. This place is a prime example as to why so many people do not trust mechanic shops. Steer clear.

Incredible service. Insurance company we were dealing with was very difficult and Taylor's worked with us every step of the way. They could not have been more helpful. The repairs were done as quickly as possible and the car looks beautiful. A wonderful surprise to find it spotless when I picked it up- it was far from it upon drop off!

I am a recent, very pleased customer of Taylors Auto Body. This shop was recommended to me by the dealer where we had purchased our car. Changing lanes, I sideswiped another car --- all my fault. I was very impressed with every aspect of the Taylor operation. From friendly, personable employees, they were professional in every way. Our car looks great, and, as somebody mentioned, the car was returned fully clean and cleaned out. Should I need more body work on one of our cars, Taylors would be my first choice. I don't know how their service could be improved. Way to go, Taylors!

Taylor's Auto Body Shop is first rate. Not only did they fix my car beautifully (and by the exact date they said it would be done), but they gave it back cleaned, vacuumed and better looking than before! The people are professional, and sharp, the folks in the office are on the ball and went the extra mile to help me work out some confusion with the insurance company. Five stars!
