Great service, Professional. Tim has a great group of guys working for him. Tim has had this gold standard business since I first took my car to him back in the 70's. He runs an honest business. TJ's is honest and reliable at a reasonable price. There are some issues they are unable to address (body work, computer issues on newer cars), but they inform you of this and refer you to reputable establishments that are able to remedy the problem. I've taken my care there several times and have always been happy. There was one repair that resulted with a problem a few weeks later; however I don't believe it was their fault and they fixed it free of charge.

My car's warranty has recently expired so I decided to give TJ's a try for my auto service because I don't like overpaying at the dealer. I had seen TJ's ads on TV for years, and even though it is across town from me, I though it would be worth trying a locally owned business. I was pleasantly surprised by the great service, communication, and follow up I received. I'm 100% satisfied with my experience and I will be back for future automotive care needs.

My family has been using TJ'S since they went from a gas station to a service center. The work has always been top notch, reasonably priced, and done in a timely fashion. Very trustworthy! I am so pleased with TJ's. They have never let me down. Their prices are reasonable and they work with you. Tim really seems to care about your car and does a wonderful job explaining problems and recommended repairs. Both Peggy and Tim are very nice people. The mechanics are also friendly and hardworking. I am always rest assured that I am in good hands whenever I bring my car in for repairs. The best in Rockford for auto care and exceptional service!

I would recommend TJ's auto to everyone I know. It is difficult to find a mechanic that you can trust won't gouge you with unnecessary "repairs". Tim has proven himself to me and my family as a trustworthy excellent mechanic that is friendly and passionate about helping others. The guy truly goes above and beyond. If I could give 6 stars I would! I can't say I've ever been excited to recommend a mechanic to anyone before now, but this mom and pop shop is worth supporting!

This is the worst auto mechanic I've ever been to, I had my car towed to their shop, just to be told that they do not know what is wrong my car. The owner Tim was very rude. I asked if this is how he normally does business, his response was, " with you I do." His mechanic hung up on me two days prior. The owner couldn't careless. No apology or anything.
Not only are they completely unprofessional, they have no idea what they are doing. I would not recommend this place to anybody! They deserve no stars. The only reason they got one, is because yelp makes you pick one. I will make sure to tell friends, family to never take their car to them.

I have used TJ's over the years for different mechanical needs for my cars. They are very trustworthy, and never suggest things for your car that aren't necessary. That's pretty rare for a mechanic. I recently had to take my car in for a pretty extensive repair. They took before, and after photos to show me what was going on prior to the fix, and the new parts that they put in.
I am actually getting almost 5 miles to the gallon better gas mileage now too. I purchased this car used 4-5 years ago, and I can honestly say that it has never run as well as it does now. I have to give these guys my highest recommendation.
