This place has gone down hill. The staff seem to be unhappy and not happy to be there. They are rude when you ask them for items and they don't have it. Unfortunately I rather drive to McAllen to the surplus store there to get what I need.

Typical military surplus store with lots of inventory, but it does lack some organization and presentability. A little pricey (have visited here on 3 occasions) but when there are limited surplus stores, this tends to happen. You must wear a mask to enter (no exceptions) - this is simply informational (not a good or a bad thing - just come prepared or you will be denied entry).

Everytime i go to this store, they never have anything new. Looks like they are just selling what they have left over before they close down. Green beret in mcallen is where you would want to go. Overpriced items.

The lady behind the counter was the rudest I've ever encountered. Nothing worth buying was for sale and the way she yelled at you didn't make you feel too welcome to ask anything. Everything for sale wasnt worth the hour I drove to come check it out. Avoid this place like the plague

Went to look for a pair of BDU and see what i could buy since it was my birthday, owner or clerk told me they needed to close the store since they had a delivery. Kinda cool they offer that service, not cool since I was coming from mission and had to leave and they didn't let me look around.

Honestly this place is very small and has a lot of random stuff that is mostly for civilian use. I am a a reservist in the army trying to look for stuff when I go to my unit; the only thing I found was a canteen and 1 pair of military issue socks. For people who came from the military and now a civilian this place is alright. For those looking for a place that sells modern military uniforms and gear, this is not the place.

Honestly, they have an okay selection. I have a few gripes though. The pricing for the items seems a little steep some times. $5 for a canteen, sure I get that, but they have an airsoft package that has been there for over 10 years that's been marked at $130 that doesn't look like it's worth more than $50. The store feels like it's just dusty and the back looks like stuff was just set down and forgotten. Bottom line, the place is okay if you *need* some military or military style stuff right away and don't want to wait for an online order.

A surprising amount of vintage and modern military hardware at reasonable cost we enjoyed our visit if for no other reason Then the nest Alger of the place. Its proximity to the evil jima original memorial monument makes it a convenient place to visit

As a veteran, I love visiting surplus stores and pick up items that I might need from time to time, but this place is the worst surplus store I've ever been to. The two women that run the store have horrible attitudes and customer service. The prices are a bit steep for being a used military / surplus store, but when you're the only store in the valley. what choice do you have.

From everyone that I have spoken to, the man that owned the store previously really enjoyed talking to people and talking about the gear in his store. I'm sure these review will do nothing to curve their attitude towards their customers, but visitors be warned.
