My Honda pilot blew a power steering line and this shop got me in next day and out within hours. Ed was incredibly kind, courteous and helpful in assisting me. Not only was the service friendly and helpful, but the prices were highly competitive. Most other shops wouldn't bother giving me an estimate to know what to expect, but that wasn't the case here.

I really appreciated that as times are tough, and knowing a ball park is super helpful. The shop was super clean, and I mean immaculate compared to others around town, which was super nice. Overall I was highly impressed and am satisfied with the service done to my Pilot. If you have any issues, take your vehicle here and Ed will take excellent care of you. Steve's Auto has won over my business for all of my future automotive needs!

My car made an awful noise as I was on my way to work in the Pearl District. I called and Ed was able to get me in right away to check it out. Turns out that it was just a piece of the shield underneath the engine that had come loose and was dragging on the ground. They charged me a fair price for the diagnostic, quick repair, and I asked for an oil change while they were at it. It was probably one of the best experiences I've had at an auto shop and I will definitely recommend them.

Thank you so much to Steve's. I was on a long road trip, when my check engine light came on. They were able to fit me in right away and make sure I was not stranded for the weekend. I appreciate the good care, honesty, and patience. The employee we talked with made sure we understood our vehicle's issues and patiently explained all answers to our questions.

Steve's Automotive is my go-to whenever my car (a 2006 Suzuki SX4) has issues. They're reliable, reasonable, and they do good work. When you find a mechanic you like and trust, that's one less thing in life you have to worry about!

Stay away! Pros: -None Cons: -They don't tell you the approximate charges for service(s) before hand. -Prices for minute/simple service are EXTREMELY high. Dealership service prices are cheaper/more reasonable than this shop. -Labor fee grossly and unreasonable high to check out vehicle. -Expertise is limited. Would never recommend. Wate of time and money only to still need to take my vehicle to a shop that has the expertise to fix my car.

Good place to go to with car troubles. I thought I had a bad fuel pump, was expecting to pay around $500 to have new fuel pump installed (pump is inside gas tank). After towing my vehicle to Steve's Automotive my car started right up. I tried for 3 days-it would not start. There was water in the gas tank. I had added 5 gallons of premium gas to help diluted the water water and it still wouldn't start. So, had it towed to Steve's.

After it started right up at there place they did a scan and found nothing wrong, and didn't charge me anything. . Other shops would have charged $125 for the scan and probably put in a new fuel pump. These are honest folks, and I'm going back, for sure, for all my future needs! 5 stars to Steve's Automotive.

Steve's Automotive is a first-rate business! It takes a lot for me to trust an automotive repair shop, as I am an engineer and usually do most of the work on my own vehicles. I had a problem with my diesel truck and multiple shops either didnt feel comfortable with working on it or gave outrageous estimates. Steve's Automotive estimated a very reasonable price, did the work right on time and lower than the estimate, and did first rate work.and earned a loyal customer!

I brought my car in recently and they were awesome as usual! They charge reasonable rates, turn cars quickly, dont try to upcharge, treat customers well, and are very responsive and flexible. It's easy to understand why they have been in business 50 years! Highly recommended!

I knew I needed new brakes and Steve's Automotive is very close to where I work. I saw all the great reviews and just went for it. I should say that I've had a number of questionable experiences with garages in the past that I only really caught because I'm reasonably experienced driving mostly old cars. They did recommend some work that I already suspected might be necessary and I'm happy they confirmed that.

Even so, they were far from pushy about it Everything I experienced at Steve's was completely above board and I'm so grateful they are nearby to help my 6 year old Mazda ease into it's old age. I recommend them wholeheartedly to everyone.

I took my 2001 Chevy Corvette to them to have a common problem with that car addressed. The problem causes the car to die at traffic lights and intersections, a serious safety problem. I had already done some research and found out the problem was likely electrical in nature, causing the car to spit out codes suggesting I replace the column lock. I shared all of this information with them.

They said that I was wrong; their mechanic was sure it's the column lock. They insisted replacing it should fix my problem, and fix all of the codes I was getting. I reluctantly agreed despite everything I read online to the contrary. The repair required purchasing a new lock and having a locksmith key it. Hundreds of dollars later, nothing has been fixed.

The middle-aged mechanic even yelled at me, several times. I guess it was my fault that he didn't fix my car. How could he expect me to be happy with no result? After being berated, talked-down to, and scolded by the mechanic, the very nice office manager gave a small break on labor. Still, I cannot recommend anyone take a car with a safety or electrical issue here.

Her suggestion, after I paid for unnecessary work, was "Maybe take it to a Chevy dealer. They have specialized equipment we don't have. They can see stuff we can't." It would have been nice to know that a few hundred dollars earlier.
