Stan Elmore and Wally Prather founded Stan's Tire Shoppe, Inc. in Lafayette in 1973. Stan was fresh out of high school, and was newly wed to his wife Donna. Stan had worked for Wally at his George Oil gas station while in high school, and after his graduation. At this time, Wally was a major wholesaler of tires throughout the Front Range, but had no retail outlet.
Today, Stan's Automotive is made up of a group of about 18 professionals - from technicians and service advisors to shuttle drivers and office staff. Currently, including part time office help, 8 of our 18 employees have been with Stan's for over 15 years! Betty, our part-time office help has been here since the very beginning in 1973!
The customer service at Stan's was top notch. The staff were so nice and answered all of my questions. As far as the service done to my vehicle, the work was very thorough, and they gave me a summary of the work performed and the important details they noticed. Thanks for squeezing me in on yet another busy day.

Absolutely a fabulous experience and exceptional customer service. Brought my car in with no brakes and received VIP customer care. I had a loaner vehicle offered to me so that I was able to get to work, and I was able to get my car looked at the same day and given a summary of the problem including an estimate. The work performed saved me not only time and money, but my brakes have never felt better. I am truly impressed with Stan's and will take my vehicle including my wife's there for future maintenance or any unforeseen repairs.

I have been going to Stan's Automotive for a couple of years now. My neighbor recommended them and I have been very happy with each visit. Most recently, they alerted me to the fact that I had a nail in one tire. The next day, while waiting for new tires to come in, my tire pressure light came on. I went back to Stan's to ask their advice. They checked all 4 tires, added air to the slightly low one, and told me to return if I needed more air - no questions asked. Thank you, Stan and employees!

Stan's took my vehicle in and repaired it in a timely manner. I asked about the condition of the brakes and was told that they didn't need attention at this time. I've been to other shops that would've recommended brake replacement regardless of condition. Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brake service & repair

I really enjoy giving my business to them, they're reasonable and walk you through why they need to charge you for certain things. They also break down the price of parts and labor. They communicate well as to when they can have your car finished, and recommend things they think will be good for your vehicle. Everyone there is really nice also which always makes a difference to me.

Stan's is always professional. Graig was there to explain to me the work that was needed and what the priority work he recommended for safety and longevity of the vehicle. I do construction and they loaned me a Fantastic mini van so I could keep working while they sent out my dashboard to be repaired for a couple days. If you want your car fixed right, I recommend taking it to Stans. Thank you guy's, great job as usual! Chad

The very top level of service. You know when you call an old friend, and the conversation is never rushed, just personable and friendly? Well, that was it was the first time I spoke with the owner. Friendly, honest, looking out for my best interest, really cared. Like going into my own general store, and being greeted by the storekeeper, who asked about me and my family first, before getting down to business. Makes you feel valued, an all too rare thing to find in today's world.
When I'm visiting a shop, I always ask myself, would I send my dear wife here, would they treat her kindly, and take good care of her, and her car? No doubt on Stan's, that's just the way they do business. Here's an example. When I the owner called me personally and we spoke for over 15 minutes. His knowledge and professionalism was impressive and informative.
I have a German car but it is not a "sports car", yet I feel I get the same level of service as other customers of Stan's Automotive. Highest recommendation to Scott and his team. Plus he likes horses! Just even more bonus points in my book!
