Thank you South Jordan Mechanics! These guys are the real deal! Honest prices, honest work- I will recommend them everytime. Their respond time is incredible and the vehicle was fixed in no time. We've gone to them twice now within two years and each time they've amazed us with fair prices, extremely kind and genuine customer care and with how quickly and efficiently the vehicle has been fixed. They had Ethan come out and do a oil pan replacement for me, the wait wasn't long and it was freezing outside but he did amazing work on my Subaru for a really good price. I've had car troubles a lot with many mechanic shops but I definitely recommend them to anyone who is skeptical about where they should get their car fixed without getting ripped off. Had a short notice request to fix a bunch of stuff. We were given the options to wait for a mechanic to come to our house or get it to the shop in Murray. We chose to get it there for immediate relief. After Brock started working on the car, he returned to show how much was worn down and broken while we were driving. We were very lucky we were okay since we hadn't noticed the problem sooner because the brake sensor was completely damaged and our car wasn't as okay as we initially thought.
We got new brakes, rotors, pads and special bolts replaced in a very rapid service for less than everywhere else we called for quotes. We also were serviced into the nighttime when everyone else closes shop and wouldn't help us- even though my husband couldn't leave his workplace in a timely manner. We were given a very fair and competitive rate. Feeling so relieved since we drive around with our newborn baby and worry about the car safety.
We can immediately sense the car handles with safer and better control. We were honestly kinda shocked at how noticeable the improvements were, but feeling so much more relieved! My husband and I realized that while sitting in the office waiting for service that we had seen this company in Murray before years ago while helping our friend with his car issues.
Our friend wasn't even charged for the electrical complications he had with his Mazda3! What kind of company won't charge you for a fix, just because it only took them five minutes to fix it? The car wasn't able to go very fast and this was a huge issue for driving the highways safely to get it there. Feeling grateful for finding businesses that can be as good as this was to us when they could have easily taken advantage of people in vulnerable car situations!

Update: I had a very lovely conversation with the owner and he refunded me the amount for the diagnostic. I will say in hindsight I left a lot of negativity with my old post but the mechanic did in fact get me a new o2 sensor installed it, and was able to save me some peace of mind, time, and money when it came to looking at my now salvaged car. And with my car I had to take to a seperate mechanic he was able to identify one thing that was wrong (the spark plugs) even though he didn't act on it.
I dont doubt that this business has done a lot of great work and has been able to help a lot of people. I'm certain they deserve all the good praise they get. I am just saddened that I wasn't able to be on the list of people where everything went smoothly. Old post: I called to get two cars looked at, one recently in an accident and was immovable so I wanted to see if it was worth it trying to get fixed.
The other seemed like a simple check engine light fix since I had it previously diagnosed as a faulty o2 sensor that just needed replacing. Scheduling everything was great and professional but the actual mechanic work done wasn't what I expected. I had to push the mechanic to do a more throrough investigation of my first vehicle, since it seemed like he just glanced at it.
And he wasn't unable to give me a solid quote due being inexperienced with autobody. He rapid fired estimates but didn't give me a solid number which was overwhelming. And we both just settled on "it wasn't worth it" Though to be fair autobody was not a service listed but I expected him to at least assess the wheel without me having to ask him. Then what I thought was a simple o2 sensor replacement apparently wasn't just that and the mechanic failed to properly diagnose my car, since after he replaced the o2 sensor the check engine light came back on and it was FLASHING and the car was sputtering implying something was extremely wrong with my vehicle. the light went off but I called to have it looked at again and the mechanic gave me nothing except small solutions like the "spark plugs need tuning" but didn't do anything about it at all.
I had to take my car into a different mechanic who fixed the spark plugs for me among other issues with my vehicle. I feel like I wasted $256 to have an inexperienced mechanic "fix" my vechile. I understand this is a great service if your car breaks down on the side of the road but I personally won't be calling the South Jordan Mechanic again.

I am really busy and I had put off fixing my brakes. When I called they were able to respond that exact day. And the bonus is that they came out to my house to do the repair. My car wouldn't start and I was stuck at my office. I tried jumping it with no luck. I didn't know the exact culprit but figured it was either the battery or the alternator. They were completely booked out for the next week and yet the owner took time out of his busy schedule to come help me. He quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced my battery for a fantastic price.
I would recommend him to anyone. If not for him I would still be stranded at my office or would have had to leave my car here given most other places were closed or booked out. Thank you so much for your help!

If we have problems with any of our cars, we never think of taking them to any other auto place other than South Jordan Auto Mechanic.
