Our "transmission temp hot" light went on as our family of four were driving through Loomis on the way to Nevada City. The woman at the front desk was wonderful and their team got us in and out in less than 20 mins. I so appreciated the little play area as I had two small kids with me. I wish this place was in our town!

They were amazing! The only place my parents will bring their cars into and now that is the same for us! The nicest people & are upfront and honest!

I wasn't entirely sure what was wrong with my car before I left for a road trip on a Friday. I called Wednesday morning and they got me in the same day to take a look at my transmission. It didn't take more than 30 minutes, and the mechanic who worked on my car was super knowledgeable, especially about CVTs. It was a great experience and I would definitely tell my friends and family they can trust Sierra Auto Care to take care of any vehicle needs

After buying a used truck from Carvana I wanted to have an inspection done right away. Jimmy found a couple things I should bring up with Carvana before the warranty is over and saved me a headache for sure. Both Shannon and Jimmy took care of me right away and it's very refreshing to ditch the dealership service experience. Thanks again and I'll be back!

She is great, she worked around my hectic schedule and was able to get me in to do a full inspection on my vehicle before I drive across states. Very thorough!

Was able to get me in last minute and took care of business was fun to sit in the waiting room and visit with staff and watch the news. The owner shared some Reese's peanut butter cups with marshmallow with me. Great value great service. Great tasting candy. What more can you ask for? I definitely recommend Sierra Auto Care as well as marshmallow topped Reese's peanut butter cups.

We have only been going to Sierra Auto Care for over ten years. So honest--they will try to save you money if they can. They also do diesel--just fixed my cousin's truck after he accidentally put gasoline in. Found out my husband got a free new Hyundai Sonata engine because of a manufacturing error. So grateful to Jack and Shannon and the mechanics there!

They are the bomb. Always fair, had a day when I was worried about tires on car they took me in, appointment, checked it out thoroughly, no charge! This day and age-no way! They have been more than honest never overcharging, me, if you want honest, great, auto repair, go here. Always a place to wait with little dog, maintaining her presence!

Service was very poor for having a smog check done. Smog technician James Mossman, broke the ignition key getting into the vehicle then had to take apart the door to retrieve the part and have a locksmith make a new key from the broken one. In a discussion while he was working on the door he suggested that I need to pay for the locksmith. Upon discussion with the office manager Shannon, I indicated that the mechanic had said that and that I should not have to pay for that service because he was the individual that broke the key.

Several hours later I received a call that the key situation had been resolved however, James was refusing to smog the vehicle. It appears that it was retaliation against me because I didn't want to pay the the mechanic's mistake. I assume James can generate enough business for Sierra Auto Care to offset the loss of a customer with three vehicles that have been bringing those vehicles to them for better than 15 years. Business must be good.but, customer beware.

I had my car towed into these folks. They gave me an huge estimate and asked to do even more testing on the car. I did not agree to the testing so they ended up telling me they would not work on my car. I took it to Red Sun instead and it was fixed for $320 which included an oil change and they did not feel the additional testing was necessary. Sierra wanted over $700 for the work. Avoid Sierra and avoid ATS across the way. If you have a Toyota or Lexus, go to Red Sun. If you have some other make, look around but avoid Sierra and ATS.

When I had to have the motor in my car replaced they were incredibly efficient and helpful! They were very honest about the work they did and were price conscious the entire time. If you are looking for a great place to bring your car, I would strongly suggest Sierra Auto Care. They take care of their customers!

Came in from Reno, NV with a low tire not taking any air. Sierra Auto Care quickly checked it for me and took care of the tire! Friendly staff and amazingly fast service!

Such a great help! They fixed my car and understood I was traveling and needed to get back on the road. Absolutely would recommend them to anyone in the area.

I have an older model truck that I recently bought that had some Rust issues in the brakes. I took it to a mechanic I had been to in the past and he wouldn't even touch it! Said it could cost $1,000 or more. And there could be a lot of broken parts along the way bumping up the price. Brought it in to Sierra Auto Care and the very nice and knowledgeable woman behind the counter was very calming and explain the process they were going to use that would reduce potential breakage and set up an appointment that would allow them to have the truck for several days if necessary to remove rust and to find older brake parts. Drop the truck off on a Monday picked it up Tuesday at lunch $650 and I was on the road. I will definitely be going back there for all of my future Automotive needs

Wanted to go to this place for get an estimate. Web and yelp said it closes at 5pm on Friday. Called at 4 multiple times and no one picked up. Maybe they were busy so my husband and I drove there. Got there at 4:30 and it was closed. Another customer was there hoping to get in too. Then called on Monday and the lady I spoke to was pretty rude. We won't be doing business with them. Unreliable and unfriendly.

Give them 2 Because they did work without calling me 1st and they have my truck for 2 weeks without a single call and I had to call them to find out all the information.

We can't say enough good things about Sierra Auto Care. Shannon and Jack have fixed our vehicles for over 30 years. We now have the whole family going to them for service. Their prices have always been fair and they will tell you straight up what needs to be done.

We have been searching for a good shop to take care of our service trucks. After a few visits and recommendations from two Plumbers we know, we have found our new mechanics. Reasonably priced, good diagnostics, friendly service and on time.

Very honest shop. I had them take a look at my car and they found it was faulty work from another shop/bad part. They advised me to check their warrety. I gladly paid them for thier time and highly recommend them to everyone!

After being misled one too many times at AutoNation Subaru, I brought my Forester to investigate an engine leak that the dealer said would be $140 to diagnose. In less than an hour Sierra Auto Care reported that there wasn't a leak and even waived the $59 fee they normally charge. This is the second time I have received honest service from them and I will be back. It is so refreshing to deal with business that has integrity.

Poor! Just got ripped off! Went in to smog m y truck only to have it on for 1/4th of the test due to a tail pipe leak. Tech came in said couldn't test due to leak and handed Shannon Chris the paper work and Walked Away? Ok no prob, lets get it fixed. This is a smog and repair shop as advertised! No offer to fix, told me it needs to welded. No problem, I have a welder and can do it and bring it rite back. (I am a 20yr vet commercial mechanic)Shannon Chris asked if I was bring it back today, I said yes. Charged me $51.75.

I addition will charge full amount when I bring it back.?So it was on the machine for 10min, only got through 1/4 of testing and you are going to charge me full price? WYF! I asked why the hell would I bring it back to you!(Shannon Chris) "I don't know" I live in a beautiful small town of Loomis and own a local farm as well as a small jerky business.

I prefer to use local businesses to keep work going in our small town. It's the rite thing to do. Never would I have imagined that I would get ripped off here. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!I am contacting the better business bureau and filing a complaint as well. I did see other complaints here on yelp, but I wanted to give it a shot due to them being local. Bad business and countless loss of new business. Feel like she should just ask for money up front and then tell you to leave. Seems to be how she runs her business!

We had tried another shop in town and got less than stellar service. After taking our other car to Sierra Auto, they were not only knowledge and friendly but also VERY quick to repair our problem and didn't try to scam us into extra repairs. We will definitely be returning to Sierra Auto for any future auto care needs!

I recently met the owner Jack at his shop on an unrelated vehicle matter. What a quality stand-up guy! Nice shop with up to date equipment and all the necessary technical subscriptions for online access. Happy customers coming and going. I don't live in the Loomis area but have friends who do and will definitely send them to the Sierra Auto Clinic.

Went in today to get an estimate for some smog repairs. I went in on a Monday early afternoon and apparently was told by "Shannon" I couldn't get an estimate of repairs until Wednesday? And she was so rude. NO THANKS. I am a local business owner here in Loomis and like to keep my business local - BUT I will drive 20 miles not to do business here. Highly unrecommend this place.

I have to agree with Brad B., went in to get an issue addressed and asked to speak to a technician. The over adorned older lady at the desk had me explain everything to her instead. Then, when I was almost finished she told me to hold on and picked up her cell phone and began speaking to someone about dental issues, like huh? Worst customer service in Loomis.

I had gone to this place before and had a good experience, but dealt with the guys in the shop, not the rude cougar at the desk. Looks like she cost them two customers already. There are several other customer service oriented shops in town so my guess is they won't be around too much longer if they continue to let her be employed.

I Installed a new engine in a Ford Probe for my son. Being somewhat of a DIYer and mechanically inclined. After install I was having drivability issues. I spent over (2) months trying to resolve myself. When I was ready to drive this car off a cliff I contacted Sierra Auto Care for some help. They spent so much time trying to figure this mess out.

I would have given up but they did not. Jimmy was determined to help me and my son out. After several weeks and working on his own time they identified several issues and addressed each one. My son is happy and cruising around in the car he really wanted. I would recommend Sierra auto care for all your repair needs.

I have been a long time customer of Sierra Auto Care after transferring my business from another local automotive repair shop that was less than honest on several occassions. Recently I have had a vehicle that has been a "challenge" to keep properly running as it ages. Despite many hours of labor and parts and trouble shooting, the good folks at Sierra Auto Care have been more than fair with costs and charges as related to the repairs.

Like anything else, you have to find a repair shop you can trust, and for me personally, I prefer a shop where they "call it like they see it", no BS, just plain english with good explanations. Sierra Auto Care is always sure to tell me what needs to be done, what can wait, and what (if anything) I may want to consider having done in the near future.

In this day and age as vehicles become more complex repairs are harder to do for the "average joe" and it is nice to know I can leave my vehicles in the care of local experts who take the time to not only maintain and fix my vehicles, but also take the steps to do "preventative" maintance and keep me and family safe on the road.

The mechanics at Sierra Auto Care are second to none. My truck had a blown head gasket and the work was done quickly at a fair price and the truck runs like new now. I would recommend them to anyone. These guys know their business and treat people fairly. Do not hesitate to take your vehicles there.

Last time I was serviced here I was left with a rather bitter taste in my mouth due to rather inflated prices, but then I realized "all repairs are costly now days." So today, when it came time to adress a newly found problem, I decided that I would give them another shot. Upon calling to make an appointment I was imediatly greeted buy a rather RUDE woman named Shannon and was then put on hold while I was in the middle of asking her a question. THIS PLACE SUCKS. Shannon just lost them about $1000(two cars), worth of labor revenue next week.
