Sharp automotive was established in 1999. We are located in Benicia's Industrial Park. Sharp automotive is a full service diagnosis and repair facility. Combined we have over 50 years of experience in the automotive business. Sharp automotive provides local shuttle, fleet and business discounts, early and late hour drop off, and computerized work orders.

We can offer just about any repair on just about any make or vehicle. Some of the vehicles we work on are Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, SAAB, Mitsubishi and more.

Every time I call Sharp someone actually answers the phone to help me. Now a days that's rare. I bring all of my vehicles in for repairs, services, etc., all the way from Rio Vista to Benicia, . I love the great customer service and the wonderful jobs done on all of my vehicles! And the price cannot be beat!

I have been coming to this local auto shop for some time now. More than just doing a great job in what they do and at a fair and reasonable cost (to date I have not had any issues or concerns with any repair or maintenance work they provided), what is equally if not more important to me is that they are honest in their recommendations and I can trust them.

They do not recommend any unnecessary work or try to squeeze more money out of me. And if I decline any non-urgent recommendations they do not try to insist, scare or leave me worried. It will just be noted in the work order for my future consideration. So far their written quotes or estimates have always been spot-on with the final invoice. No surprises.

They would tell me beforehand though if there would be any, and give me a rough estimate. I understand of course since they would not know exactly until they have gone in and do their inspection. They would call me with what they would find and the cost to repair/replace or reassure me that everything is okay. I know that me and my car are in good hands every time I come in to the shop for any repair or maintenance. These comments and opinions are based on my own experience. Dominic "Nikki" Mac

We had a problem with our car late on Saturday Afternoon before Easter. Robert wasn't sure he could get the part needed. He called us back around 7 o'clock and said he had locate a part for the repair. Robert was giving up his time with his family to accommodate us the night before before Easter. superb customer customer service.

SHARP has been amazing to me since I got my first car in high school. They go out of their way to provide quality customer service and are both honest and kind. They even stayed late to get my car finished when I was in a time pinch. They're trustworthy and reliable people and I appreciate their service, going on ten years now!

Went in most recently for a smog, which was quick and painless. They also service my vehicles whenever I'm in need of various repairs. I've never had a problem with their workmanship, which is most important to me, and their prices are fair and competitive at the same time.

Took my Cadillac CTS in to have rear shocks replace. Great service as usual and Becky was very personable and friendly. Cost was a lot less then the dealership. Recommend Sharp Automotive to friends and family.

Average service, nothing special- $96/hr for labor. No walk through for service done with mechanic. In my opinion, nothing that puts this vendor above anyone else. Felt like I had to pry and ask questions about the service and specific charges on their bill.

I had alot of problems with my car but Becky, Doris and the team at Sharpe really went out of their way to fix all of my cars issues. My transmission works so much better then it had in a long time. Another issue was that my car fuel door was pried open at the third party they work with. So Becky took ownership of the thrid parties problem and Sharpe fixed this issue free of charge. I highly recommend Sharpe Automotive in Benicia.

It was unfortunate that my previous mechanic decided to close, BUT it was fortunate for me that I came across reviews on Sharp Automotive. They were all great reviews and I just had to check out for myself. I was well accomodated despite a few days notice on preferred day of visit. Norma was accommodating to fit me in their busy schedule which I appreciate.

They had the service done in less than hour. She explained to me what is happening and what I need to look out for. It's a little more expensive than my previous but if it gets the job done, I would not mind doing business with them again.

Our family and our extended family have all used SHARP for the past 10 years. They are honest and do excellent work. A ride is always available back home or to pick up a repaired car. Their hours are consistent and the front office staff is professional and friendly.

First of all the staff is great the prices are reasonable and they get your car/truck etc. fixed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this place.

My check engine light came on and they ran emissions testing. They didn't find anything and figured the gas cap must've been loose or needed replacing. They recommended getting a new one from the dealership rather than s generic one. They priced well, were very responsive, and I appreciate they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. Great service.

It's a great repair shop. The mechanics will take the time to speak with you and explain the problem. The front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They will offer you a ride home, if you are local. They offer after hours drop off. Prices are fair but higher than a budget brand name shop, worth it for the service. As smaller shop they have more limited hours and are not great choice for rush jobs.

After spending over $527 and a month on repairs, my car still will not pass smog. found black tape holding a hose in place to the engine. A whole month later and you guys used TAPE to repair. will not be going back or suggesting this place to anyone unless they want to be ripped off.

I thought I needed new front brakes but after a test drive and diagnosis a tire inflation and rebalance was done and the vibration I was feeling while braking has now disappeared. saved me several hundred$! Thanks Sharpe automotive

I've been bringing 2 cars here for various issues for years and have been impressed with the quality of service every time. I've always received an honest diagnosis, timely repair, and 5 star customer service from Becky and crew. Car service is never cheap, but these guys and gals are competitively priced and I'm greeted by name when I walk in. This is how to run a business.

I called this morning to inquire about having my truck towed to your shop due to a failing clutch. The receptionist with whom I spoke did not even attempt to help. Instead, she went directly to "we're closed tomorrow" and "we won't even be able to look at it until Wednesday at the earliest." Now I certainty understand a thriving business such as yours may have to make people wait.

I get it. But don't start the conversation immediately with NO when conducting business. And never speak rudely and be curt with customers. Ever. I've used this shop many times for mine and my wife's vehicles in the past and never have been treated the way I was this morning at 10am. I found another shop, cheaper and closer to home. You may want to discuss turning away $1000 jobs to your employee. Too bad for you, win for me!

Sharp is an example of a great shop. I have been taking various cars of all types to this establishment since 2002. I have always had great experiences there. The mechanics always kept it real with what issues needed to be addressed. I will keep bringing my cars and friends cars there for the foreseeable future.

I am from Sacramento. Getting ready to leave Vallejo to go home after a wonderful few days at Clear Lake my motorhome had a funny smell from under the hood. A belt broke & I could no longer steer my motorhome. After calling several repair shops for two days and finding no one to help someone suggested we try S.H.A.R.P auto repair. My nephew using brute strength managed to get the motorhome to sharps shop.

I was checked in by a woman I now call my angel. She listened to my problem & Said they would do their best to figure out why a perfectly good belt would break for no reason. They found the air-conditioner had seized and cause the belt to break. To help me get my motorhome fixed and get me back on the road they found a belt that would run everything that needed to be run but could bypass the air-conditioner so that I could safely drive home and get the air conditioner fixed later when I had the time and the money.

I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford to get it fixed so I could get home. For the new belt and labor they charged me less than an hour labor. If I lived closer I would bring both my vehicles to Sharp. Great people, great service

Paid for a brake inspec. about 10,000 miles (about 18 months) ago. Sharp auto gave a detailed report and said come back in 6,000 miles to have another look. I called last Monday to bring it back in and also asked for a quote for the 100,000 mile work that my owner's manual recommends. The female employee said she would get the pricing and call me back.

I called later in the day to check, and a guy said the lady had to drop a car off and would probably call me when she returned. No call back. I called Friday and told a female I had called Monday for a quote and they hadn't called me back. She told me that? (a guy) was in charge of quotes and would have to call me back. She didn't apologize, just took my name and number.

Today is Monday (noon) and I still haven't received a call back. We haven't been able to use that vehicle all week because the brakes are starting to rub on metal. We wasted almost $100 on the inspection which they said would go towards the brake repair job. We can't wait any longer.

After reading the reply form the shop owner, here are the facts: 1. An employee gave me a written quote in person knowing all of the facts. I accepted this quote and approved the work to be completed as stated on the work order. 2. A different employee called me to tell me he could not do the work because he did not know how to do it even after research. An added note: You cannot tell me it will cost more after I have an official work order placed and approved by me. Also, since you didn't know how to do it, how could you asses the amount of time needed? 3.

I arranged to have the job completed by the original person I worked with because he knew how to do it. This was recommended by the owner. It was all setup and approved but even that didn't work out because of very poor communication and poor customer service by that person. Lastly, you state that you utilize all avenues of information to get the job done.

If I know how to do it properly and have done it before, then I am a source of information (in essence; a colleague). The breaking point to this situation is when I was at your shop waiting for your guy to come back to do the work. I spoke directly to you, Robert, asking if he was going to come back. Instead of trying to make the situation right, you told me that he left for the day and to come back tomorrow.

I then explain the situation and you still fail to make the situation right. All I got from you was "Try and come back tomorrow". You are the owner and your actions (along with your employees) are what define your business ethics and practices.

These guys are great. They diagnose the issues and give a thorough inspection to make sure all is good even after they've repaired your vehicle. Twice I've have time sensitive repairs since I had road trips already planned and they kept to the schedule they promised. I have two Hondas that I take to them whenever I need maintenance work and my cars function great.

Very competitive pricing and very helpful attitude; exactly what you want from your mechanic. They don't try to push needless work on you, they tell it like it is and tell you how critical each part of their suggestions are and its up to you to make the decision with no judgements. I don't hesitate in coming here for all my mechanic needs.
