Unfortunately they are no longer in business. Great service. No pushing unwarranted parts nor sevice. Always were honest, dependable and excellent seviice. I will miss both Gert & Helen. Wishing them the best.

After having used Scandinavian Service for my 2010 Saab NG 9-5 Aero for 3-4 years I have been led to find a better alternative. At first I was impressed with the thoroughness and apparent knowledge Gert and his staff displayed. However, in the past couple years they inadequately diagnosed and serviced a problem with my all wheel drive system. Last year they sold me some new tires and a new tire pressure monitor but weren't able to get the monitor to function.

After doing a wheel balance and alignment they did not get the wheels balanced correctly even after I returned for a second balancing. This was after Gert assured me they were competent to do these services when I initially suggested that I would shop at a tire store. I have since had these problems corrected at a different Saab service center.

This was my first time at this place and I was extremely satisfied with everything. The owner Gert and his wife Helen were extremely helpful with the issue that I was having with my Cummins Generator. I would highly recommend them for all your Generator and CAR needs. 5 STAR SERVICE!

Really loved my experience. They took my car by appointment, worked on it and did some extra stuff for me. But what really blew me away was that I was not going to be off work in time and they close at 5pm. They stayed there and waited for me til 6:30 so I could pick up my car. Then, the cherry on top was they took the time to wash my car for me and never mentioned it.

They are very humble, professional and personable. I would definitely recommend seeing them and establishing a relationship with this business. They will forever be my go to.

My recent purchase of a Porsche 911 had me down some as a previous owner had done a chop job on the headlights trying to convert to zenon. Get and the guys did a fantastic job of getting them working. Then when the time came he gave me a great deal on brand new headlight assembles, got it done in a couple of hours. I couldn't be happier. Thanks guys. Well done.

I was told the service should be done on the same day of my appointment, but my car was not done until the following day. What makes this experience worse is, the shop didn't even call me to let me know. Instead, I had to call to find out my car wouldn't be ready until the next day. I made my appointment two weeks before the appointment day, so theoretically my car should be looked at first, but apparently it wasn't.

When I got my car, I was told the service only took one hour This means my car was not even being serviced until the second day. What's the point of making appointment then? Besides all these, I was not briefed on what exactly were done to my car. For the A/C service, they couldn't even be sure if anything is wrong with my A/C for its not blowing cold air and told me to bring my car back when I find the A/C is not working. Very disappointing experience this time.

I found Gert and his Scandinavian Service shortly after we moved here in 2002. Gert and his team took care of my Volvos for years, and then later, they provided excellent service for our Volkswagen Passat. They have the latest diagnostic equipment and are experts at using the systems. Service and major repairs have always been done on time, and usually less than the estimates they provide for any service. If you want an honest and fair priced repair center, take your vehicle to Scandinavian Service!

Do not take your car in here for service, as I had my car burned down because of my alternator caught on fire. My car literally was serviced in April 2019 for an alternator change. Since then I only had 4000 miles on it till the alternator was on fire. They did want to cover the alternator only, but they told me to wait 2 weeks as they do not have any time, can you imagine that? On top of that, they would not cover any other damaged items from the fire.

Honesty is the best policy! Unfortunately I purchased the pre service policy on my Mercedes when I bought the car, thought it was a good idea at the time since they reduce all the service costs up to 90k miles by about 25%. But boy do they lie! Had it in for the 60k mile service and they told me the timing covers are leaking and $1300 to fix, luckily I'm fairly astute with mechanics and said no.

I brought it to Gert and he showed me they are just sweating, no big deal. I also had him do the front brakes and rotors at 1/2 the price. I then took to the dealer for the 70k miles service, they then told me the rear brakes pads are at 4 mil and have to be done ASAP for $360, again I said no and called Gert, he said $226 so we brought it to him. Gert called me and said the pads are at 9mil and just fine. I will never bring another car for repairs anywhere else, Thank You Gert!

Always get great service, at a good price, and done before the promised time. The customer shuttle service is always a big plus. Have never had a a bad experience with Gert, Helen, and the crew at Scandinavian Service, and my BMW 323 ci is always running like a top.

I have been coming to Scandinavian Service for about 3 years now. I have a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero convertible with 106k miles. Gert & Helen always provide fair and honest service. There have been a few bumps in the road due to parts availability with the Saab parts or unexpected surprises. However, they have always taken care of the issue like paying for a rental car, dropping me off at work, home, pickups, etc. I would recommend.

May23 2018 I brought my RV in for generator service and really appreciated the prompt service I received. Everybody I dealt with was very knowledgeable and helpful. In todays world it is such a pleasure to do business with such a professional operation. I will definitely be back for future service.

Thanks to Gert my 2007 BMW 328i is functional again. It was hard to believe that a part for my 2007 wasn't available from the dealer, BMW America or even from the home office in Germany. Gert was able to fabricate a part and now my car is operational. Thanks Gert!

I have known Gert and his family for years. He has impeccable integrity. He and his team go above and beyond, diagnose accurately (he actually found what was wrong with my car while dealership just let it be.), supply high end long lasting replacement parts and fixes little stuff at no charge if/when found. Just drove all the way from Palms to Simi to get my Saab's Takata airbag replaced. The job was done in under 30 minutes and i could not be more satisfied. I had tried to get this done (Recall) at Casa De Cadillac, in Sherman Oaks and was extremely disappointed in their service & approach. Scandinavian Service is the best.

This place is a rip off! They have no clue about customer service or how to fix Onan generators. I took my RV for generator problems and it came back with more and different problems than it had before I took it. They seem to find problems within the RV that were never an issue prior to taking it to them. They also lock the RV with their own locks so no one comes and retrieves their vehicle prior to paying.

This may seem like a smart idea but they are so bad at repairs that people feel they are getting ripped off and come get their vehicles. I will never return my RV for generator service to this place and will never recommend them to anyone I know.

That is not true. T hey had no idea how to diagnose car and charged for all there time to nothing. Had to send to dealer and they found problem in minutes not days. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I took my 2005 VW Jetta TDI there.because the prior mechanic in Thousand Oaks couldn't figure out what was wrong with sluggish starting, and he figured it out right away, solved the issue flawlessly and for a very reasonable price. All running smoothly now. So happy I contacted Gert. The best part about it, his shop is under a mile from my house. AND they gave me a ride to work and back. Seriously customer service off the chart good.! :-

We have used Gert and Helen (the owners) to service our Audi Allroad for last 4 years and couldn't be more satisfied. They fix things quickly, correctly and are fairly priced. They diagnose the problem, are willing to to do basic repairs before going further and costing you more money. Gert offers the choice of manufacturer's parts or OEM's which are generally less expensive. Scandinavian provides a parts and labor guarantee on most repairs and stands behind it.

They are keeping a 15 year old Audi Allroad, that we love, on the road. When my VW is out of warranty they will be the shop that I use for everything. Couldn't be more pleased.

Incompetent and expensive! I have unfortunately been using Scandinavian Service for a few years. Don't ask them to investigate a problem, they will charge you a $100 fee. If you have 2 problems to check out it is $200. Last time I brought my car to Scandinavian Service it had an engine light on and the engine would run a bit rough occasionally.

They investigated and told me the repair would be over $1,000. Since the problem was intermittent, I declined the repair. When I picked up my car the engine ran horribly rough all the time. When I called them to report the problem, they declined any responsibility and indicated that I had to pay for the recommended repairs. they also highlighted that they could not guarantee that the repairs would fix the problem. I brought the car to another mechanic. $200 later, it runs like a charm.

Gert has worked on my family's cars since before I was born. When I went to college, I started taking my 2002 Volvo S80 to another shop nearer to my school. When my car started shuddering, they strung me along for 8 months and $7000 worth of repairs. I just took my car into Gert's last week for my 105k maintenance, and mentioned the shuddering.

In less than 24 hours, Gert and Leo figured out the problem (which *should* have been obvious to the other shop), fixed it for about $300, and my car drove like new! Also, some of my actuators on my door locks weren't working. I *insisted* I needed the back two replaced, and the front driver door. Gert told me I only needed the driver door, and one of the back door ones. Gert, as usual, was right. Gert is honest, skilled, and reasonably-priced.

He won't ever try to hoodwink you or scare you into unneeded repairs. He won't ever try to overcharge you. His customers tend to stick with him, and for good reason. He may seem rather abrupt at times, and act like he knows your car better than you, but trust me--if Gert says that something needs to be fixed, and he's insisting on it, you'd better bet your bottom dollar that it NEEDS to be fixed. It's been a while, so I don't remember the specifics, but he used to work with Scandenavian car manufacturing in some capacity, and also used to work with racecars. Gert knows his stuff. I don't care that I live half the state away. From now on, my car is only going to Scandenavian Service, just like it always should have!
