Services
Ray Sawyer opened Sawyer Automotive in 1981. Having been working at other local shops since the age of 16 and wanting to branch out on his own, he purchased the former Volkswagen repair shop. Ray is an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician, with an Advanced Level Certificate, allowing him to diagnose and repair emission problems related to the Massachusetts Automobile Inspection. The business has steadily grown over the years in terms of the number of customers and the number of cars being serviced at any given time.
Tire Mounting/Rotating/Balancing - In addition to selling tires, we also can rotate and balance them for you to try and get a better lifespan out of the tires. In terms of new tires, if there's a particular tire you're looking for just ask and we can try and track it down for you. We use a Hunter Road Force tire balancer to precision balance all our tires and to diagnose tire/wheel related issues.

Needed loving attention for a damaged brake light "3rd eye". The complete solution, as they told me, would "cost me more than I'd want to pay" for a car with >200k miles on it. So I took my car here for two replacement tires and a wonky front tire that had a slow leak. After two follow up visits to figure out the leak they got it patched up. So they've gotten a ton of business from me for my tires and they're really professional, fairly priced, and do quality work. Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

Sawyer Automotive is the greatest! We've been customers for 20 years. They provide both excellent automotive care and advice on what's worth repairing. I appreciate the phone calls from the mechanics to explain the work completed. Denise in the office is like an air traffic controller - she somehow manages to keep it all rolling along!

I've been getting my cars repaired with Sawyers for over 15 years. I've found them to be fast, efficient and best of all focused. They address the problem and fix it, with out adding on hundreds of dollars of extra charges. If the brakes have 5000 miles left on them, they say so instead of just replacing them. I sold an Accord with 274,000 miles on it recently, and it was kept in great shape by these guys.
