They have been honest about work my car didn't need along with work it did need. They called two weeks after I picked up my car to see if everything is okay. Good people here.

My impression of them is they only care about the number of cars they push through. My interaction with them ended with me bringing back my car days later and then the mechanic found out my brake fluid was low and just filled it then sent me on my way. The next mechanic says to me "you should sue them for that.that's reckless endangerment!" I don't wanna do that, which is why I'm here writing this. Be careful.

Due to the model of my vehicle, changing the headlight is no easy task. Even after taking a large portion of the front end of the vehicle apart, the bill was still less than $150 including the parts. Can't say enough good things about this shop. The great attitude and service orientation starts at the top and runs through the whole team. In addition I needed the vehicle back before lunch time.they were one hour ahead of schedule and called as soon as it was ready. Try that at a dealership!

The second time I brought my SUV to SLA, I had pre-paid for the parts that were needed. I believe the parts were ordered through a dealership, but something went wrong with the part not being right from the 3rd party, so they ended up finding another part that cost significantly less money and gave me a credit. When I came to pick up my vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I owed a lot less for the labor, because of the credit.

They could have easily kept the money and I would have never known otherwise. I appreciate the honesty and they fixed everything I needed on my vehicle. I will definitely use them again, when needed and also recommend them to others.

Got me in the same day I called. It was a Friday and I wasn't able to pick up the car until after closing so I paid ahead of time. While at work I received a pleasant call that they didn't end up using as much labor as they thought and so they were giving me a partial REFUND! Just wow amazing customer service! Thank you! Every other place I called gave me an estimate for work they ASSUMED I needed. Sand Lake took the time to ask specific questions about what I needed and the issues I was experiencing. They got me in the next day, diagnosed, and fixed my car more quickly than I could have expected. Used to work for sandlake, and honestly I've never had respect for a employer like I have for tim, having said that I have never see a shop that is so honest and upfront with how everything is handled for customers. Being mechanically inclined and a mechanic, I will never let a shop other then sandlake touch my cars and trucks EVER. Sand Lake Auto was referred to me by my Pastor. I respect his advice and recommendations in regards to many things, I'm thankful that he recommended Sand Lake Auto because they have been what I have been looking for in regards to keeping my cars in top condition. They have always been up front, in other words, straight forward, honest about my vehicles.

They sometimes offer suggestions on how to approach the repair of the vehicles to my benefit, when time and expense was a major factor. Their technicians are skilled and knowledgeable. The overall team is courteous, professional, warm and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Great and timely customer service. They are fair in their pricing and in assessing what needs to get done and what can wait. They are always patient with my questions and making sure I understand what is going on with my car. Highly recommend.

My heater stopped working in my Ford Fiesta I took it to a shop I will not name and they did a diagnostic test and said it was just my cabin air filter, I had it replaced at this un-named shop and they charged me $170, four days later my heater stopped working again. I was mad, I looked around and did some research to find a car shop I can trust and Sand lake Automotive was the placed a called And from the first call I knew I could trust these folks.

Honest people and fair pricing, they had my car in and out the shop in one day, I had my blower motor replaced here. A week later I got a follow up call asking how my heater is working. It was very awesome they follow up with their customers, shows they really care. 5stars, if I have any car repairs in the future I know I will be back.

Excellent service. Had to have my car towed in after hours. They were very helpful and friendly, the estimate was accurate, the prices were very reasonable, they fixed everything and had me back on the road very quickly. They made everything as painless as possible including helping me find a good tow company. I hope I don't have to go back too soon because car problems are never fun, but I'm taking my car problems here from now on.

Best place in town! Just took my truck there. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable. In constant communication with me with everything they found wrong with my 2010 GMC Sierra. Told me prices on how much it was going to fix everything. I'm a truly thankful to find a family owned company that goes out of their way to make you feel like family! I will take my vehicles here every time! Thank you guys for all that you do!

On two separate occasions in the last month my car needed servicing. In both cases the were honest in the services and repairs they recommended. They were also realistic in the time it would take for service, it was done when they said it would be done. The cost of the service work was moderate and fit with the quality of work. Every employee who I've interacted with has been polite and professional. I will recommend them to my friends/family and will continue to take our household's vehicles to them whenever the need arises.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a local business in Anchorage. They quoted us a verbal price of $350 when I picked my car up they said it's now $600. They never called to let me know about the price increase while they were working on the car. They also double charged me for parts and when I picked my car up it was running awful.

I took it back to them three times to have them fix the problem and they refused to fix it. I finally brought it back a fourth time after getting a second opinion and they blew me off until I said I was going to file a consumer complaint and take them to small claims court. They did a quick fix and now I have to take my car to someone else. The new owner is so rude. I would never recommend this business to anyone.

I have three cars and keeping them maintained is important to me. Keeping cars running is expensive and I'm willing to spend the money as long as I believe what the shop tells me. I trust Sand Lake Auto. When they tell me I need to have xxxx repaired or replaced I believe them. They are proof that you can run an honest and customer centered repair shop and still make money. I won't take my business anywhere else.

I was visiting Anchorage, and had vehicle trouble. So I called my friend to ask what mechanic shop she would recommend. She told me about Sand Lake Auto, and all the work they had done on their vehicles. She said they even did a follow up call to check on them after their service. So I called them up, and they got me in right away to take a look at my vehicle, despite the fact that I did not have an appointment.

They quickly identified the problem, (disconnected fuel line from the filter) and fixed it in minutes. I was on my way just like that. I am so thankful my friend recommended them! If I lived in Anchorage, this would be my trusted mechanic shop of choice!

I went to this shop by a friend/mechanic's recommendation and love it. They do good work and are very kind. As it is a smaller out of the way shop they care about the customer. One time I had my vehicle towed to them an hour after closing. One of the guys was still there and looked into my vehicle immediately and did a cursory check to give me a time estimate for repairs.

Even though it was something they couldn't fix (blown transmission) they were kind and went above and beyond to help me get to a place that could help me. I recommend this shop to everyone.

These guys are truly great, we have a fleet of several older 1987-88 Buick Electras & Estate Wagons, all in very good condition, it is difficult to find a shop that would work on older vehicles. Alex, his dad, and there entire team take superior care of all of our cars.
