Sent my fiancee here for work needed on her R57 Mini. Reasonable price for front brakes including rotors, and they gave estimates on other work needed. I called to ask them about the recommended work and loved that it's a good combination of preventative (changing the entire valve cover that warps instead of just the gasket that might last only a year) and thoughtful needed repairs (advised OEM shocks over performance models for smoother ride). Made an appointment to get everything done next week.

Well let's start from the first time coming here with my M5. First I asked for my rod bearing to be replaced with the Vano line, as most shops will replace at the same time. Their mechanic forgot to install it once I asked for my old parts. They did say if the vano line goes bad within the warranty period they would do the repair at no charge only for parts. Second, I brought my car for an engine light, which they stated was catalytic converter was bad. $6000+to repair.
I also told them that the idle would fluctuate, the lady at the counter stated that the problem was a broken wire in the battery location. And that this would cure the problem. Didn't cure the problem, and they charged $300 to resplice a new wire which would take them 5 minutes to perform. But they did add more diff fluid to the diff, as they said but I could not confirm if they really did as they have lied before. I would not recommend this shop.

I Used To always go there we have three BMW we were always there when something happened until I started finding little things broken stuff cracked on my dashboard who does that it wasn't that way before it went there also I took it in because it was smoking they told me it was a coil wire because it was still under warranty when I drove it home it was smoking all the way they should be ashamed to send it out of the shop like that and yes I have video so I had to take it's somewhere else and I'll keep going there instead. Our cars will never go to Ronin again it was a nicer shop when the other mechanic Josh was there. personal opinion.

I rely on Randy and Matt at Ronin to take the best care of my 2003 Mini Cooper S. The service is outstanding, friendly, efficient, and on time. They make me feel confident in all their repairs. Estimates are better than other places I've gone. Definitely worth the drive! I know my Mini is in Good Hands! Pleasant waiting room and Keurig Coffee too! Thank you guys!

I chose to go to Ronin for my car repair. They diagnosed the issue, when I got the quote I felt like it's so pricey. Researched a bit more and compared it to Autonation BMW. Turns out they have a hairline difference in pricing. And you always have to leave car with Ronin. Find a better pricing shop. They charge like dealership coz the use BMW software. BS! I'm done going to Ronin. I'll just get rid of the Beemer instead of dealing with them again.
Check it out if you don't believe my review. I'm not saying Matt is not knowledgeable he's really good but his pricing has gone stratospheric for an independent shop. He's nice but he has to keep business afloat so he'll charge you like dealer.

I have a 2014 MINI Countryman. I tried to get a estimate from another local shop and the owner totally blew me off and told me come back in a week, he was too busy. I messaged Ronin Autowerks and got a reply the next day from Randy. I took my car in for a timing chain tensioner/guides as preventative maintenance. I talked to Randy and he explained my year doesn't have the same problems as the older MINI's and I dont need it replaced.
I still got a oil change since I was there, but who does that? A honest shop that has earned my business, that's who. I will need work in the future and this will be my go to shop. Its rare to find a honest shop that doesn't try to upsell and GIVES recommendations on needed repairs. I have worked on cars a long time, but MINI's aren't my thing, so a shop like this is a needle in a haystack.

Matt and Randy are the most honest BMW and for that matter any repair shop I have worked with for my other vehicles. My main problem was the A/C not working. I took my 1987 BMW L6 to 3 independent repair services 'specializing' in older BMW's and a BMW dealer who wanted $2500+ for a compressor( you can buy a new OEM for 300+- on the web). Another well known BMW specialist wanted to charge $5000 to fix the a/c.
None of these fools had a clue what was wrong with the a/c. By the way the compressor was fine. Matt diagnosed and found the problem and we replaced the part at minimum cost. The A/C recently failed and he found a leaky O ring and I was charged 1 hour labor. It now works perfectly. From my experience any other shop would have taken me to the cleaners to fix it.
They also fixed my auto front seat, changed the trans fluid, replaced some fuses and lights and did a minor tune-up all for a very reasonable charge. I already mentioned they were honest but in addition they REALLY know their stuff and are truly nice guys. I wouldn't trust my car with any other shop.

Randy and Nick provided an excellent customer experience! They exceeded my expectations from a service and cost perspective. Randy was extremely helpful and guided me through repairs process. Not only was my daughter's vehicle fixed but they went the extra mile in waiting around to get the job done right. A great team and wonderful environment. Thanks Nick and Randy!

I was frustrated with Long Beach BMW giving me the runaround on my 2011 328i that I had purchased from them last November. So many codes popping up and not a single straightforward answer. So I looked up local BMW mechanics and Ronin popped right up. I called and Nick was more than happy to help me out. He made time for me to come in same day right around closing time, checked out my car, and explained everything to me without trying to make me get the car serviced by them. I can tell that they really care for their customers, and truly care about the vehicles as well. I highly recommend coming to them!

I've had three cars that I've owned exclusively serviced with Ronin, and I wouldn't take them anywhere else! In fact, I tried. I took my it to Crevier Mini for a recall, and while it was there, they told me that I had $4500 of other servicing that needed fixing immediately. To cut a long story short, I got my car back from Crevier and took it down to Nick at Ronin.
A day later I had my car back - and it was less than half the price of what Crevier tried charging me! Do yourself a favor, keep peace of mind with your car, and take it to Nick at Ronin.

I have 2004 525i that I have been taking to Matt and his crew for the last 8 years. They have always been honest about what fixes are needs vs nice to haves that can wait. The pricing is reasonable and worth the value. For the most all of 2017 my car was non-operational. I decided to get it operational again but have been having problems. I took it in and got the same level of service as always and even better now with text updates and reminders. Also, if you have headlights that need to be fully restored, definitely go to them! They did an amazing job on my thrashed lights. I'll keep coming back to them!

I was in a pinch, having had previous work done at a mechanic out of the area, and apparently the rattling noise I heard from inside the vehicle was the suspension block losing it's bolts, tying it into the frame (I hadn't reviewed that place yet, but I think I should simply be honest after this most recent situation). This particular situation could have caused severe damage to the frame, if not hurt myself or someone else very seriously due to the negligence.
I called two other places, one had a tech that was out for the day, and the other (I drove there before I called) didn't even get up out of his seat to see what I was talking about, appeared disinterested, almost as if the car wasn't there (will leave first impression review there as well). I drove to Ronin and described the clanking noise and how it has gradually become louder and louder and they took my car right in, and advised me of what was happening about 20 minutes later.
He advised that I could pay them to bolt it back down or talk yo whomever perfomed the most recent work (I advised I had an air suspension put on recently, same wheel). so he bolted it down and had me out of there, all in about an hour. In addition he gave me a quote for a coolant leak, which was much better than the other two quotes I received as the process wasn't as invasive and would take about 10, 12 hours instead of 2, 3 days.
Overall I felt comfortable with the response and action today in light of what I experienced at one shop where repairs were done and another that I showed up at who didn't seem interested in looking at the vehicle.

They always get me in within a day and take their time fixing what needs to be fixed. I am very happy with the work that I get done on my car here I will never go anywhere else. The prices are very fair compared to a dealership they are very trustworthy and I am confident that they always do the best job

I just wanted to let everyone know that the search is over for finding an honest and reliable mechanic. I have found someone that I can trust, it's hard to find someone like that. I have brought all my cars to this shop, the owner Matt Rose is honest, courteous, and just a cool guy. Thanks again, I hope this helps someone out there.
