Robert's Auto Repair Excellent customer service - from the daily text message alerts, to Linda calling me with updates, completely satisfied with Robert's Auto Repair. A recent auto accident put my car in the shop, however, Roberts did a great job of getting the car back to pre-accident condition. I appreciate that they did not do a rush job, but took the time to make sure my car would not have any future issues (this is important as I have a cross-country trip coming up in a few weeks).Robert's really is as good as it gets!

Robert's did a great job repairing my car's collision damage ($3500 worth). Door replaced, window/mirror controls work like new, paint blended to match. Worked seamlessly with my insurance company for all payments, and facilitated rental car pickup/drop-off with a partner rental company on site. Looks like they detailed/waxed my car before I picked it up, and it hasn't looked that good in a long time.

Robert's Collision seems primarily dedicated to extracting the maximum amount of funds from insurance companies rather than serving its customers. I took a vehicle in after getting hit by a drunk driver and nearly rolling, explicitly stating to the staff that making sure the vehicle was safe to drive was my primary concern. Robert's collision proceeded to spend $4,500 to repair dents and chipped paint (much of which was not related to the accident), before even looking at the vehicles suspension and alignment (which of course had been damaged in the accident).

This was $2,000 more than their initial estimate, which I never authorize them to spend (I signed a document saying work exceeding the initial estimate would not be conducted without clearing it with me first, as I have done with other shops in the past), and wound up exceeding the amount the insurance company was willing to pay. In the course of the 4 weeks that Robert's had the car, the only communication I received from them prior to the phone call stating the suspension and alignment were damaged and they didn't have sufficient funds to fix it, were perfunctory updates saying they were waiting on parts to come in and that the car would be ready for pickup in 3-4 days.

I showed up at their shop pretty upset and had to wait several hours before I was able to talk to the owner who told me, "maybe we would have done things differently if we'd have known their was an insurance limit, but the work was done so I gotta get paid". Ultimately I had to pay 2K out of pocket to get a car back that was still unsafe to drive. Luckily Midas, just down the street, was able to do the outstanding work (which the Robert's said would take several weeks) in an afternoon and get me back on the road.

My other vehicle has 300,000 miles on it, and I've visited a bunch of repair shops in the past 20 years in Maine, Alaska, and California. Never had a problem or an issue with anyone during that time before dealing with Robert and his crew. RESPONSE TO ROBERT'S COMMENTS BELOW: - "after initial inspection and estimate that was done in the field rather than here at Robert's.".

This is false. The initial inspection and estimate was done at Robert's, not in the field. The shop then did a second estimate following then same procedure (I was there when they did both), where they increased the scope and price of the work, without informing me that they had done so. -"at Robert's, the body work is done first, and only the collision damage to the body is addressed." "As there was no visible damage to the suspension components, it was unknown that any of those components would need to be replaced." I specifically told the staff and estimator when I brought the vehicle in that I was concerned about these components of the vehicle given the nature of the accident.

Given my concerns, one would imagine this would be a priority in conducting repairs. If these explicitly stated concerns, were not communicated to the folks doing the work, than that is on you. If your policy is to pursue the body work first, rather than accommodating specific requests and needs of the customer, than I believe my points above are accurate.

I've tried at length to work out this issue with you and your staff in person. $500 of the top of $2500 of unauthorized work isn't a fair compromise. I'll see you in small claims court.

I had a great experience with this business! The whole process was very transparent, and there was constant communication throughout the repairs. They also were very upfront about timelines and expectations, and we are very fortunate that the repair was completed ahead of schedule! Also they have an internal system with the car insurance company, so really all I had to do was wait. Upon return of my vehicle, it was done to the original state. I can't even tell where the new paint begins and which panels were replaced. Great service, highly recommend!

My car was finished several days earlier than the estimate. My bumper looked beautiful. They washed my car and went above and beyond to remove stuck-on black mold on the roof. I'm very pleased and definitely recommend them. Service: Body & Trim

Absolutely five starts services all around! I bring my car in for body work through the insurance a couple times. Every time they give me efficiency of time and service. They're quick to respond and keep communicating throughout. You will not sit and wait and wonder what's going on and how long it takes. I come in as scheduled, take care of business for 15 minutes and leave with peace of mind. The system is set perfectly for services to run nice and smoothly. Thank you for all the staff. They're all awesome!

Family owned and operated since day one. Robert is awesome great guy and his staff are all great and friendly. I'm just happy that the shop was open on July 4th. my breaks went out and I'm just grateful I didn't have to drive out of town to find a place opened on this day.

My A/C Compressor clutch died on my Honda Odyssey on the way to South Padre. Robert and Xavier diagnosed the problem and installed a new compressor in less than a day. My ride back to Austin was nice and cool. They did great work. Xavier even gave me a ride back to my condo while my van was in the shop. Fair and honest.

I just have to say that Robert saved me from spending way too much money on my suburban. Thank you Robert for doing such a great job and for being honest and fair. I would highly recommend you to anyone that needs a mechanic. I'm from out of town and was lucky to have found him.
