They diagnosed our vehicle issue (valve gasket) and had it fixed in just 1 day. They did not do some assumed work they quoted me for because they said once they got in there they saw it didn't need it. That is honesty, folks. They have earned my trust. On top of that, these guys are so nice and personable. Highly, highly recommended!

They are the absolute best in town. I won't take my car anywhere else. They always communicate thoroughly, give me a very fair and reasonable price, and work to get the issue fixed in a timely manner. I had a part on my muffler recently fail, a part that I had replaced 5 years ago pre-pandemic, and it cost me three times more 5 years ago than it cost me yesterday. They were spectacular and my car sounds like a dream now.

I have never experienced customer service so welcoming and direct before in my life. They will give you very detailed information about anything they find about something wrong that you need fixed, without the scams and lies. They love to care for you just like family and their prices do not give nearly enough insight to their very high quality repairs. Will be worth your while to go to them for any car-related issues.

I recently brought my car in for regular maintenance along with issues with my brakes. I was updated promptly by Scott informing me of what the issue was along with an extremely reasonable estimate. He was kind and knowledgeable, and explained everything to where I understood, felt comfortable, and felt no pressure. Everything was done quickly the same day.

I wasn't sure if I'd make it before close, so I called to ask if I could pay over the phone and spoke to Cory who was helpful and friendly. A few days later, I received contact from Khiler following up asking how everything went. Great service from start to finish! I typically feel very out of my comfort zone with car issues and auto repair shops, but everyone was so genuine and treated me with respect that I felt confident and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

The only fix what you need fixed. They don't try to oversell you, and are honest. Very refreshing, in that type of Industry. Nice bunch of guys!

I could not find anyone to install my aftermarket Cat kit on my Mustang. Not even an exhaust shop was willing. They claimed to be "too busy". The team at River Valley Auto are legends. They installed my exhaust kit, called to let me know it was done and "it's really loud". :- They helped me load up my old cats to take home and even contacted me the following Monday to make sure all was good with my car. Awesome place, will return next time I need any work done on my vehicles. Thanks guys!

Great guys. They took care of my Jeep. Had an exhaust issue. They gave me a couple options. Most places say you have to replace it all. That was one of the options. No pressure, and that's what I appreciate. They are my go to now. Far improved from previous ownership.

Excellent! I took my bmw to Scott for an oil change and basic service. Made an appointment which they were ready for my car when I got there. Completed the service quickly, had the oil filter in stock which is rare for this car, looked at a couple of other things I asked about, recommended service for next time, didn't try to push me to buy anything else, and were significantly less than the dealer. Staff is great, honest, and the job was done correctly. Couldn't recommend them enough.

My husband first tried River City Auto because of an oil change groupon. He was so impressed with the service quality of the shop that we chose to go there again when he needed some work done to his tires/ rims. The price was SO good, and the service was exceptional. We were thrilled. They've recently fixed my exhaust system and replaced his car battery.

Every single time we walk into Rive City Auto we feel welcomed, listened to, and that they're doing the best for our cars (and wallet). They don't try to squeeze money out of you or sell you services that aren't needed. They just replaced my husband's battery in 20 minutes from arriving at the shop to heading home. They're so efficient. We just love them! Never going anywhere else.

I just had the transmission done on my 2010 Audi A5 and they did a fantastic job. I had been trying to work with Audi but they are no help to me. Scott and Corey are very professional and nice, I recommend River Valley to anyone. Scott has lots of foreign auto experience

I have to give a star to post a review. In truth, I would give negative stars if possible. If I loathed you, I would not refer you to this place. Went in to get a battery changed and have sporadic issue with electrical (sometimes my car alarm would go off when doors locked) in my VW Passat. These folks claim to be experts with the brand and they had been recommended by a former friend, so that's why I landed there.

Any way, a MONTH after leaving my car there for these reasons I finally got my car back. There was exhaust coming out by the front passenger tire, ALL of my dashboard alert lights were on and the car drove like a POS. I was ignorant enough to take it back the following Monday when they opened. I ended up having to get it taken to German Auto via flatbed to get it in drivable condition once again.

I did receive courtesy cars to drive during the first go around with this place, and I find it hilarious they are now performing detailing packages on Groupon these days, as one of the cars I drove was handed over to me with vomit across the back seat. Please save yourself the heartache and misery. Do not make the mistakes I made in trusting the owner and his crew to make it right

Sent my daughter in for brake repair. They replaced brake lines. Way over priced for a small, old Mercury Sable. She picked up the car, was in Rockford when the brakes failed. They Had forgotten to tighten the fittings, are you kidding me!!? Had to take it to another shop to have it corrected. They did pay that bill. Big deal. They should have refunded the whole worthless job. My daughter could have been seriously hurt. Thank god she is a good and safe driver! I would not recommend them for anything.

After trying a few dealers our neighbor referred us back in 2008 when we moved to the area and we have been going there ever since for routine maintenance. Friendly locally owned business and great prices. They are always prompt about returning my calls and proactive when an issue is discovered and providing me with an estimate to repair. It's nice having someone you can trust with Dan, the owner, and his staff.

Took my car in to get a quote on getting my drivers side window fixed. Left without being able to open my drivers side door from the inside. I didn't realize it until I got to work and had to crawl out the passenger side of my vehicle. Also, the lock panel was jolting out where it wasn't before and they just left a piece of my plastic door panel sitting there. While they did agree to fix the problem, I never got an apology for the poor service or inconvenience. Would not return here ever.
