Restorations Unlimited II RU2, Inc. specializes in the auto restoration of award winning antique and classic cars, design and engineering of special interest cars and state of the art street rods. RU2 is located at 304 Jandus Road in Cary, Illinois. Founded in 1971, our auto restorers have over 125 years of combined experience. We offer meticulous workmanship performed at competitive rates.

Our team of craftsmen are dedicated to preserving the automobiles and the rich heritage of the industry. Whether full or partial restoration, all body, paint, mechanical and upholstery work is done in house.

At RU2 we do restorations from frame up or a partial restoration according to our customers needs. From new upholstery to engine work, body and fenders, a new paint job or a complete frame up, we can give your car a concourse or touring class restoration or anything in between. At RU2 all work on your car is done by our very talented craftsmen.
At RU2 we use only the finest fabrics, leather and carpet available for your auto restoration upholstery and keep a large assortment of these samples on hand. We create custom interiors or because we are certified installers from LeBaron Bonney, we can install any of their interior or top kits. For the antiques and classic cars we try to match the original upholstery as best we can whenever possible. For the Hot Rod enthusiasts we will work with your design or create a design for door panels and interior to suit your tastes.
This 1955 Ferrari 250 GT Europa, after a complete Concours restoration was shown at the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic XVII at the end of January. The car took 3 awards at the show. It won the "Jet Aviation Cup" for the most deserving Ferrari, the "Palm Beach Cup" most elegant and the "First in Class - Platinum" for the finest Ferrari in its class.
Ralph Morey owner of Restorations Unlimited II has worked as a professional automotive restorer since 1968. He established Restorations in 1971. Ralph specializes in paint and body work. He has a passion for the preservation of antique and classic cars and their history. A 1931 Ford Model A five window coupe with a 1954 Cadillac engine and transmission was the first car he built in 1964 and still owns it.
