This is one of the worst experiences I've had with a home warranty service. I've asked to speak with someone in the corporate and the last agent said they did not have one. This is what we've come to. I still expect to speak with someone other than a customer service representative. Update : After speaking with Lane directly the issue was resolved within less an hour.

This included explaining my issue, him thoroughly explaining where the issue was, and calling back to explain the way forward. Definitely appreciate your eagerness to resolve the issue while listening to my needs as a customer.

***reviewed post***** I am truly impressed on how fast Lane solved my issue. He actually answered the phone after hours like he told me in the message he left me. He proceeded to resolve my issues in a very polite and professional manner. Those are the kind of actions that turn consumer's opinions around in a very positive way, and I certainly appreciate companies taking the time to turn a bad situation around into a very positive experience.

In my opinion that is perfect 5 stars *************************************************** Please do not sign any contracts with this company. The only thing they offered is the worst service in the industry. I made the mistake to contract them in September 2021 for my home warranty and so far I had call them twice and the first time I waited a few days and call them back to find out they had not find a contractor to do the job. Needless to say I had to contract someone myself and pay out of pocket.

Recently I call them because my AC is acting up and they actually found a contractor a few days after I call them, but the contractor call at the beginning of the week he tell he will go to the house the next day after 5:30, and here we are the end of the week and I am still waiting for the guy to show up. At this point I am so upset that I call them to request a refund and this guy Darryl tells me they will only give me a prorated refund.

So please don't waste your time and money with them. I have been asking my friends that have such warranty and they use other companies and had never experienced the horrible customer service I had with RWS. I am truly discussed by rude tone they have used with me.

I'm at the end of my rope with this company. I have filed two relatively inexpensive claims. They claim they sent a check for a claim filed in February but we have yet to receive it (it's June.) They sent a plumber out who diagnosed the problem and we paid the service charge. They said they had to get approval from RWS before they could fix the problem.

It's been two months and today I got a call from ANOTHER plumber saying we need to pay the $150 service charge AGAIN. Needless to say, we will not be renewing. Thank god these weren't huge issues. RUN

We contacted their claims representative and informed them of the issue. The lady on the other end of the telephone was friendly, and she assigned a repairman to inspect our refrigerator immediately. The repairman arrived the next day and completed the work. I was quite satisfied with how they addressed my matter.

We purchased this home warranty through our inspection when buying a home. 6 months in, our water heater stopped working correctly. We used one of their recommended plumbers who informed us that the water heater needed to be replaced, the quote was $1300. I'm being offered $660, which is less than the heater alone, let alone any labor costs or the $100 service fee we already paid for them to come tell us it wasn't working.

I even independently contacted other plumbers who quoted me $1500 for the replacement, but they still will not offer the $1000 that our plan states. We've now spent the last 2 months trying to get resolution, but after multiple phone calls where we're promised a call back we never heard back from them. I had one employee tell me that the plan coverage of $1000 was for water heaters "that are leaking all over".

I'm positive the contract does not state this. A broken water heater is a broken water heater. Maybe one day someone will call us back, until then - 2 months without resolution or communication seems like a 1 star business to me and not one I would recommend.

Lane was awesome in helping with getting our issue resolved! I would suggest that you reach out to him if you are having problems with your claims and/or customer service. He was able to complete our claim and we are supposed to receive payment within 2 weeks to a month. Update: It's past 30 days .still waiting on payment. May have spoken too soon. Update: Thank you for calling me today, Lane, and reassuring that I will receive payment. Still waiting but hopeful.

I don't normally review things on Google. Stay away from this place. They are incredibly difficult to work with and seemingly make it hard to actually get money back on any repairs you have made at your house. Trust me, It is easier to just take care of the repairs out of your own pocket. This company is not worth any of the money you would pay them. UPDATE: I had Lane who is one of their claims representatives reach out to me personally about my review.

We had a nice discussion about my experience with RWS. He was very nice and genuine in regards to trying to get me the help I needed to solve my claims. I'm not sure what happened on RWS's end but he was able to expedite a couple active claims that I had. I'm disappointed it got to this point, but I'm glad I was able to get the claims finished. Thank you Lane for your help.

RWS warranty barely worth the paper it is written on. We had a claim on a 26 year old HVAC unit where compressor went out. RWS had us get quotes for compressor only replacement even though we needed new unit. When we did, they only paid about half of what the quote was which would not have even gotten the system running at all. Rebuilt part, 1/2 of what freon and labor would cost.

Better than nothing, but not much more. They definitely will not guarantee to make system work again. Update, Lane contacted me and provided clarification on warranty and was able to approve appropriate funds for my claim. Communication with was very much appreciated. I suggest to contact him with customer service issues. Thanks Lane!

I am glad we had a home warranty service. Couple things to note, home warranties do not pay for: Finding the problem. Putting your problem back to how your house was. They pay for the repair of the problem only. We had a pipe leak under our house at the southeast corner of our basement. We had to pay to find out where in the line the leak was. That was $700.

The repair itself was around $1200. And the repairs to the fence from the plumber having to use a bobcat to dig was $700 and the drywall repair/paint was $300. They do not pay for these services. Just the repair. We ended up getting back $1,000.00 from residential on warranty service. My overall take away is: know going in that you need to figure out the problem in your own.

I do find it rather unfortunate that they do not pay to put the fence back, but we do have homeowners insurance for a reason. It is still a value add for the home warranty service. We ended up only spending $1900 instead of $2900. We initiated our claim on 10/19/2021. Submitted the invoices on 11/06/2021. The reimbursement was received on 01/15/2022.

I would not give 5 stars because the initial claim process is not informative nor very helpful at all. That part of the process needs a lot of work. It would be helpful if the claim taker explains the process of what to expect. There was a lot of back and forth to get past the initial claim part to get to someone that can explain to us how this works.
