Services
Russell "Rusty" Rhea opened up RV Service of VA in April of 1984. At its inception, it was mainly an on-site repair service catering to campgrounds and customers' homesites. At the time, it was the first such company of it's kind in the area. When asked about those early days Rusty says, There's no telling how many miles were logged in.
Our partners at Watts RV & Boat Storage provide our customers with secure storage options for their RVs. Also, we offer free service calls to do on-site repairs for any of our customers who store their motorhome with Watts RV & Boat Storage.
Due to the high volume of service we provide during this time of year, we ask that you give us a call at 804-798-1433 to schedule your appointment. Thanks and we look forward to speaking with you soon!
We are the hard parts headquarters for the Richmond Metro area. Additionally, we have a full accessories showroom, so chances are if you need it, we've got it! Also, for your convenience, we're now offering curbside pick up. Give us a call today at 804-798-1433 to learn more and place an order.

Had a slide issue with my rear slide on our Tiffin 38. I dropped the RV off 1 week ago and picked it up today. Work was completed, slide motor replaced, and I can't see any evidence of their work except the slide again functions. Very pleased with RV Services of Virginia.

My House battery died just as we were starting our trip to New England. Ms Chris and company squeezed me in on the same day I called for a replacement battery when all of the other RV dealers couldn't see me until 3 weeks. Thanks again for your flexibility. Service: Battery

We broke down 20 minutes from here we were towed in. We made a decision to leave our RV and call Monday upon their opening. They were rude over the phone. 1 mechanic demanded payment before work had been done. The one lady gave me an attitude for calling and asking for updates. They took forever to return our calls or give us updates. They did a coolant flush insisted our RV was over heating which it had not.

We ran codes and we knew what needed to be done they did not even address the codes. We spoke to our normal RV mechanic here at home he told my husband what to do which we asked them to check our air filter they looked seen it was damaged and still did NOTHING. 1900 and i had to have my husband fix our RV. Worst company and so thankful my RV is away from them.

We will be taking our RV to our normal guy back home to assure us they did not damage inside from being near it. Also they were more worried about where we were from (which we stated repeatedly 5 hours away) and making sure they got a payday then helping. Worst absolutely worst garage ever I have bever felt so taken advantage of. And if Google would let me rate them negative 5 stars I would. They do not even deserve my 1 star.

Want to thank all of you at the shop. We were broken down on the road, you fit us in and fixed us in record time to get us on our way again. Everyone was pleasant and helpful and we appreciate everything you did for us. Quality work and wonderful people. Thank you again. Service: Brakes

Please be aware! First let me say that I am on my 5th motorhome. Just to let you know that I am not a newbe. I needed my aqua hot water heater serviced. As they are listed as an Aquahot service center I took it there. My appointment was at 8:15 the work was done by 10am but they wanted me to wait a while to allow it to cycle. I waited 2 hours in the lot.

I ran water and cycled it myself. Went to pay they billed me $596.00 labor! Yikes Done in less than 2 billed for 4 @ $149.00 hr. Said it was a 4 hr minimum for Aquahot. No one told me and definitely not posted. No ethical at all. That will be the first and last time they see me. Service elsewhere is my advice.

We were extremely pleased with the Aquahot service we received at Rv Service of Virginia. They delivered our coach same day and had a very efficient process for checking us in and getting the work done on time. We have finally found a reliable service center and will be returning for other maintenence in the future.

From the first phone call to inquire about aftermarket installation to improve the handling on our RV, Rusty was spot on! Communication was consistent. They got the parts ordered, scheduled us for the work and had us out test driving it 2 mornings later. Well worth every $$. They took extra good care of our RV. We just found our go to for our RV service needs!

Brought my RV in for service here and they were great. First, it was easy to get scheduled. I didn't have to drop it off 2 weeks early like with the dealers around here. They were quick and responsive. They worked with my warranty company. Overall great experience.

On my yearly RV trip down to Florida from Upstate NY, I developed a check engine light issue while traveling through Virginia. I stayed overnight at the Fredricksburg Walmart and did some research online. I had way too many miles to go without taking care of the issue, plus there was a noticeable skip in the engine. The next morning, I phoned the RV Service of Va facility as it was conviently located just 30 miles or so down I-95.

On the phone, I was told I needed a "tune up" after describing my symptoms. Well, I figured that was a standard line, but being a bit desperate at that point, I agreed to take the unit there. Upon driving in, they had a service technician immediately come out and put the error code scanner on my RV. Everything was done in full view of me. I had random cylinder misfires. Well, to make a long story short, they performed the tune up (plugs/wires) which fixed the random mis-fires but when accompanying the technician for the after-fix test drive, a problem was still noted. Well, a couple hours later and that problem was resolved. Yes, it was a bit of a costly repair, several hours of labor. But, what was most gratifying is that they took me in that morning and started work immediately.

I think that is the most important. Everybody seemed to be upfront and honest, again, one is at their mercy when traveling away from home, but they didn't take advantage of the situation. I want to thank them, yes, I had to spend a day in their waiting room (which by the way was VERY comfortable, adjustable heating and TV), but was then on my way to continue my journey south. Thank you, Gary S. PS - A big thank you to Ed, the service technician that gave me what seemed like priority care.

Thank you Mark Johnson, Service Manager at RV Service of Virginia! Mark was able to squeeze us in and assess an inverter problem for us. He determined its not critical and we can continue on our trip to the Atlantic coast then back home to Arizona. He took 40 minutes out of his day and didn't charge us for his time. Thank you!

Finally a full resource RV service center that works with your needs and interest in mind. Rusty was nothing but inclusive, and transparent while addressing a long list of needs I had for my 2006 Forrester class C. There were several big ticket items I had asked for because I thought they were needed, but after the team inspected my rig Rusty reached back out to let me know that several of the items really weren't needed and it there were less expensive options that would address my needs.

He was patient with my endless questions and did his best to walk me through everything. When I picked up my rig, the tech walked me through everything and made sure I was satisfied. I live in DC, but the drive is worth every cent.

Finally a great place to take your RV for repair. Fair people. Knowledgeable and communicative through out. Lead times are long, but that is expected when you need to diagnose, order parts and repair. Never go to #McGeorge.
