Professional Muffler & Brake Shop

I was taking my kids home when I was cut off on the highway, I slammed on my brakes to avoid a collision and blew a break line. I finished the trip without any breaks and unfortunately damaged my caliper and rotor due to continuing to drive for quite awhile (back roads). Anyway I swung by Pro Muffler and explained what happened. Even though they were already rather busy (8:30am) they told me if I was willing to wait they would definitely get me in that day.

While speaking with the desk guy the owner happened to come by and heard my conversation. After the diagnostic was completed he came to speak to me in person and genuinely seemed concerned about the state of both my rear rotors, the caliper on the side of the line break and of course the line break it's self. He explained that while they could repair just the items that were currently broken that my opposite side was also in a less than great shape and that he felt "Really uncomfortable letting me leave the lot with a repair that could lead to me having additional issues soon, especially knowing I drive quite a lot with my kids" (I had mentioned I drive from IN to MI every weekend with them in the earlier conversation.

We spoke at length about my budget concerns vs the work he personally felt was needed to get my van back in safe to drive shape and we were able to come to a solution that everyone involved was content with. I was surprised to see such a personal investment in a customers well being and I can say that it wasnt just a money grab to get more work done on my vehicle (they explained and showed me exactly what the fear was and worked with me to get the repairs done within a budget I could afford).

The staff were all very patient and personable and even though I had to spend hours at the shop, over all it was as pleasant an experience as these types of situations can be. While waiting I also witnessed the owner personally work on another young woman's car which impressed me as well. Clearly here was a guy who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty, unlike some owners who just sit in the office all day or don't even come in to the shop.

Overall I was very happy with the experience and the state of repairs when they were were completed. (I waited a few days before writing this to verify every is still working in good order) If you decide to come to pro muffler I would suggest if at all possible you stop by first thing in the morning as word has gotten around that this shop is good so there's always cars waiting for work first thing in the morning.

I highly recommend this shop without any reservation whatsoever! I had a frightening experience with the brakes on my car. I know NOTHING about cars and so always feel very vulnerable whenever I have a problem. I recommend this shop first and foremost because I trust the owner implicitly! His word is absolutely true and you can believe and rest in whatever he tells you!

He also has an amazing crew! They got my car in right away, quickly discerned what the problem was, and completely fixed and resolved the problem in very good time. I recommend them to you with the utmost confidence you will have the same experience!

I've been bringing my vehicle to Pro Muffler and Brake Shop for years. When yours needs repair, you should come here, too. They are the most professional, knowledgeable repair group on the planet. They do great work, They don't just care about your vehicle, they care about you, too.

Highly recommend! I came in near the end of the day not knowing what was wrong with my brakes & they were able to take a look right away. Got the parts ordered & replaced immediately, I was in & out in less than an hour and they were able to work with me, explaining exactly what they were replacing and showing me the old vs new. It was a great experience, I can tell they truly care about their service and clients.

I was in St. Joseph, my former hometown, on May 19. All of the sudden my car sounded loud and I assumed I had a hole in the muffler. I stopped in at Pro Muffler in Benton Harbor to possibly make an appointment for the next morning. They said they could look at it while I waited. He immediately saw what was wrong (which was not a hole in the muffler).

I believe he said it an exhaust flex pipe. Either way, they replaced it, and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes total. These guys were great. Being in town from the Chicago area, and getting this taken care of in such a quick turnaround, was amazing. Highly recommend these guys.

I had horrible screeching sounds coming from my brakes. They got me in fast, got the job done quick and had me driving safely with brand new pads and rotors. Also with no more screeching sounds! Had a sensor that popped on while on my way to work. Was able to get my car in at fashionable time and they were able to fix it in a timely manner. The price was reasonable as well. Customer service was fantastic as well as friendliness. 100% would recommend!

Great experince! Brian the owner personally went over what I needed and gave me a good deal. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable and got my parts there fast. Will definitely be back for any work I'll need in the future.
