I've had my car serviced twice and they have been wonderful. It is difficult to find an auto repair place you can trust. It helps that the owner and his wife work there so you know they care about your being happy. They know their stuff and they are honest so if you're looking for a great place to take your car, this is the best experience I've had in 7 years of living on Long Island! According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect.
To recommend the services, repairs and maintenance to the car owners that are necessary to maintain the vehicle in safe working order. Updates: Since they replied to my comment claiming they never worked on my car. FYI They added their own coolant in my reservoir after working on it. When I went to pick up my car, the low coolant was displaying on my dash. They have to add more coolant to it again. "They were nice on that part to get me the coolant for free". I usually let it go but this time I don't want them to fool anyone else.
I was recommended to Pete B service by some Advance Auto Parts employee as a good place to fix German cars, since my car is 2018 Audi Q5. I have to flush my Coolant tank. Though his service is located pretty far from my workplace I still manage to get there, he agreed to fix it and I Uber myself back to work. Few hours later he said I couldn't do it and it has to be taken to the dealer.
So I Uber back get my car. Due to the flood, I couldn't get appointment to the dealer. Next day on my way to Queens, I noticed my coolant level is dropping fast, then I realized they lied to me about the "couldn't fix part", looks like they don't know what they were doing and broke the clip that is holding the hose on the coolant reservoir. Now I have to buy the whole parts and I have to pay for rental car to wait until I get the parts.
I did reach out to Pete and all I got it "I will look into it" and rush to end the call. Sharing my story so no one else will fall victim. FYI some local small mechanic manage to flush the coolant easily.

In mid 20' I originally brought my Acura TLX here to get a check engine light looked into. I just purchased the vehicle, and went based on the area Google reviews as I'm not acclimated to any decent mechanics around this area, or more importantly, trust worthy ones. So, based on my experience and the vibes and knowledge I read off of the owner of this place, I immediately knew I'd be returning here in the future.
Didn't get sketchy vibes or "Mechanic trying to overcharge me" kinda feelings either compared to others in the area. They didn't work on the TLX besides determine what was wrong with it - I actually ended up returning the vehicle 3 weeks later after the dealership gave up on attempting to repair it. (Lolol) Went on to get a Maxima instead, and returned here a few weeks ago for an oil change and some other stuff. Pleased with the pricing and more so with the work. overall I can say with confidence that you can trust these guys and their word, in particular, the well-spoken owner.

About 4 months ago, I had left a one star review because I had left my car there for the day for a repair and it didn't get looked at until 10 minutes before closing, meaning the repair never was done despite my having an appointment and calling multiple times to check on the status of the car. I was furious and vowed to never go back, but through a family member reaching out to Dirk, my car went back to Pete Bs.
The second time around, I had a much better experience. My car was fixed by the day's end, and Dirk even did part of the job for free because of the bad experience I initially had. He had apologized for it, too, saying he may have been out of the shop that day, so I really appreciated the fact that he tried to make things right. I was also told by another mechanic that his price for the repair was very fair, so I was grateful for that. Overall, I'd be willing to go back again. Thank you, Dirk, for fixing my car!

My Audi broke down & I was so tired of going back/forth to the dealer. Someone referred me to Pete B & I gave them a try. They fixed my car quickly & there's been no issue since. Very happy with the friendliness that I received also. I will definitely refer people to Pete B Service and use them in the future. I'm very happy to have a service provider that is fair & treats customers w/kindness & respect.

Had to get a turbo on my Volkswagen GTI replaced. Very few shops will actually do this work. They did it and did it well. Car is running great now. Would definitely recommend them. Came in at the original quoted price. Which was reasonable compared to other shops I checked. Also everybody at this shop seems friendly and nice to talk to. Definitely 5 stars.

In this day and age it's extremely hard to come across honest shops that truly have your best interest at heart. The guys over at Pete B Services Inc are phenomenal. Like many auto enthusiasts I am extremely cautious and wary of where I bring my car. The other day I had an unexpected boost leak on my Subaru WRX and as luck would have it I was a short distance from this fantastic shop.
From the moment I pulled in I was greeted and treated as if I were family. They quickly and efficiently were able to diagnose my car and had me back on the road in no time. I would definitely recommend this shop for any and all of your automotive needs. Such a hidden gem on Long Island. Thank you a ton to the guys over at Pete B Services!

I am not sure if you would ever find a more honest mechanic. Quoted me on brake pads, rotors and a couple miscellaneous things on my pickup. Called me and said there's no way he could replace my rotors because they were perfect. Also other issues that a different mechanic told me existed were just minor things. He literally saved me $700 that many other people would have just taken from me.
Also had wiring issues on a car that 2 other shops could not diagnose. They all seemed to try hard but were never successful. Again, Dirk and his crew had it 100% corrected in one day with zero issues after that. All in all Dirk is an awesome guy in my books and will get all my business. Mechanics are definitely one of those trades that are hard to find quality and honesty and this is one of those places. Just try him you won't be disappointed!

Excellent service, honest, reasonable business. I have been using Pete B for over 15 years. I fixed my own cars when I was younger (and poorer) so I know about car mechanics and business (own my own business). When I first started bringing them my car Pete was running the place, now his son has taken over. Great knowing he is a second generation professional mechanic.
