Perfection Auto Works off Speedway on Beverly in Tucson, AZ gave me the very best auto service I have ever received in my life and I am no youngster. I bought a 2013 BMW X5 that had been highly abused. I took it to BMW of Tucson for a nose to tail safety check. They found several issues but gave me such poor service (I got nothing but a run around, smoke blown up my backside and poor service from BMW of Tucson) and felt forced to find a second opinion.

I was fortunate enough to find Mike, Tavo, Derek, Nelson and the rest of the guys at Perfection Auto Works. This place is aptly named. They went above and beyond and found many safety issues BMW of Tucson missed. They repaired all issues not under warranty. I ended up paying far less than BMW of Tucson would have charged for everything, including the issues BMW of Tucson missed.

When I tried to get BMW of Tucson to honor the Federal Warranty on my DEF system, they refused. I asked them what it would cost out of Warranty. It took them two days to give me a price, with my having to reach out a second time, and then said that they could not get the parts to replace it, didn't have any idea when they would and that they did not do any reworking or cleaning of the DEF system and pretty much hung me out to dry.

Clearly they do not value my business. I called Mike at Perfection Auto Works and he immediately got me in. Clearly Perfection Auto Works values my business and has earned continuing business and my undying appreciation. Tavo got right to work cleaning and fixing the system. I paid a small fraction of what I would've had to pay the Dealership. My car is running amazingly well.

If I am ever forced to go to a dealership again, it will not be BMW of Tucson. I will always choose Perfection Auto Works. I highly recommend using Perfection Auto Works for any and all auto issues. I can honestly say without a doubt, the guys at Perfection Auto Works truly care about your safety as well as doing the best they possibly can for the mechanical health of your high end vehicles. If you're looking for a trustworthy, reliable, efficient auto shop, look no further. i was referred to perfection auto from a friend who's been a loyal customer for a while. i couldn't be happier with her recommendation because this is the shop i've been waiting for my whole life. mike is thorough, a straight shooter, and incredibly fair and generous. my car had been having a variety of issues for a few months and i took it to several different shops looking for answers, just to be left right back where i started. at perfection, the diagnostic was free and it was evident they actually took the time and effort to find the problem(s). the issues were explained to me concisely and without condescension, and i had a few options to move forward. despite being booked up for weeks in advance (testament to their reputation), i was able to bring in my car the next week. mike gave me a hell of a deal on the work, got it done quickly, and even threw in a new battery at no extra charge because he knew it needed to be done. that's the kind of service you'll receive at perfection: honest work done right. and he's got a 30 year old parrot, and that's pretty dang cool.

After moving back to Tucson, it was hard finding a mechanic that was willing to work on my Bmw 7 series. They were either untrustworthy or refused to touch the car with a 10 foot pole but then. I found Mike! Not only did he tackle the problems that I came in for, he found and fixed some major issues that I didn't notice. Mike respected my budget and we talked about every step that was going to be worked on.

In the end my car looked and felt like new! I just want to thank Mike and his team at Perfection auto works for doing such a great job. I'm glad I found a shop I can trust for quality work.

Very pleased with my service at Perfection Auto Works. They are honest and hard workers that really know what they're doing. This is the only place in Tucson I found willing to work on my Saab. They treated it like their own and took care of issues with the vehicle beyond what I originally brought it in for. I thought I was going to have to sell my vehicle and now it is running like brand new. They completely extended the life out of it.

I trust Mike wholeheartedly with my car. He is an honest mechanic with very reasonable prices and high quality work. I took my car in before setting off to drive cross country. I love that he gives me a call when there's options of how to fix something or if there's an issue we hadn't discussed ahead of time. He explains what's going on with the car and my options very clearly so I can have a good understanding and make informed decisions. I never need to go to another auto shop in Tucson.

Brought my wife's 2013 Mercedes SLK350 for front brakes and in the process of a thorough inspection other issues were brought to my attention. Mike explained the issues honestly and was very transparent with the cost and procedures. After an outstanding customer experience, I brought my 2011 Nissan Murano in for brakes and an oil seal leak and tune up. Mike and his Team are awesome! I was looking for a reputable shop to work on my Porsche 928 S4. Being that it's becoming a collectible and increasing in value, and mine is well kept, my work was cut out for me. I should preface by saying I try to work on all my own cars (BMW M3, AUDI Q7 S-LINE, NISSAN 350Z) as much as possible and I can sometimes get a bit pedantic (meaning I care much about minor details) on how I do things and how I want things done - precisely, cleanly, and with attention to detail. So.

I took my 1988 Porsche 928 S4 to Perfection Auto to get quite a few things addressed and inspected. Being almost a 35 year old car, things start to accumulate rapidly that need to be looked at and replaced. Mike was honest and patient with my list of concerns and repairs. I believe he is one of the very few if not the only one in Tucson that is knowledgeable when it comes to 928's.

He came up with a detailed game plan on what needed fixed now, what could wait, and what was not an issue. Every time I had a question or suggestion, he would explain and educate me and keep me updated on what was going on with the S4. When all was done, the car not only ran like NEW, but looked great too because they detailed it as well! I value his attention to detail and the time he took to "get it right the first time." Needless to say, I also took my son's VW Passat and he got that running like new as well. I highly recommend Perfection Auto Works not only for their expertise, integrity, and professionalism but also the price was just right too! Thanks Mike :-)

Mike and the mechanics at Perfection Autoworks are terrific. They are knowledgeable, honest and don't gouge you. I brought my car in for a busted radiator and paid half as much as my old mechanic wanted to charge me. I was getting my car serviced piece-meal and had neglected to perform the routine maintenance according to what the manufacturer recommends. Mike brought everything up to speed at suprisingly low cost. I won't trust anyone else but Perfection Autoworks from now on.

Back in October Mike and his mechanics worked on my BMW to fix a small problem I was having with one of the windows. This week the same window was acting up, so I brought it back to Perfection. Mike's crew fixed the problem (which was actually a new problem, not the part they repaired) and Mike asked for no payment. Excellent service! Might I also add they returned my car to me looking sharper than it has in months. Above and beyond.

Perfection is the best shop in Tucson. They actually care about the cars they service; they check their own work, and always give that little extra. For once, my car was fixed and didn't break down afterwards! Mike is super good and knowledgeable, and doesn't try to push a repair you don't need. Thanks for everything, Perfection! See you soon!

I could not have gotten, asked for or recieved better service from Mike and crew. The one thing you need when you have a used Porsche is an honest mechanic who doesn't just want to cash in. That's Mike. I went to his shop after buying a used Boxster and wanted him to check it out for me. He gave me an honest assessment and when he told me it would need new brakes, I thought great - "here we go." But was relieved when he said not immediately, maybe next year.

Most mechanics would try to cash in immediately, Mike knows how to make a customer a long time customer and not just a one and done. So, thanks Mike. I like your shop and all but hope I don't have to see you again until next year!

I only take my baby ('86 MB 560 SL with 39,560 miles) to Mike and his staff. After multiple trips I cannot think of anything I would want to change about the experience. Only took an hour for my annual service today. They gave me their opinion of a potential issue, which we fixed, and also let me know of how to better care for my car. It seems as if they just don't fix your car but try to educate the car owner on steps they can take for a better driving experience. I would not go anywhere else.

I was traveling from Texas to Los Angeles and my Mini Cooper got a check engine light on so instead of going to the dealership I stopped by here at 8am and Mike did a free check up. Very fast and told me it was a Evap issue and I can fix it when I'm back in Los Angeles. I am so thankful I went here! I'm not worried now about my drive. He was very honest and knew what he was talking about and made sure I know what to tell my mechanic. THANK YOU MIKE!

I am completely blown away by the excess of good reviews. Whoever I spoke with was not the display of stellar behavior matching the reviews. I started off the phone call by saying, "I have an extended warranty and I would like to see when I can come in for an appointment." He immediately replied, "well. we don't like dealing with extended warranties here.

You know why? Because they don't pay." So I said, " ok so I should check with another shop?" He says, "no Im just saying we don't like dealing with them!" I gave him the make and model of my car, and we setup an appointment and he proceeded to tell me, that diagnosis fee was $118 and that I would have to pay for my own rental. I told him that was all covered thru my warranty.

He says "so it sounds like you 'only' want to go through your warranty. I said"yeah! I'm not made of money. Thats what the warranties for." He says, " well since thats the case then maybe you should go somewhere else!" And rushed off the phone. I believe in being straight forward. And I an not one to get easily offended by someone who is a little rough around the edges, but whoever talked too was just downright rude.

I don't know if it's because I have a less expensive car I was treated that way, but when you are running a business, you will receive good customers and referrals when you are honest AND courteous with people in general. Soo disappointed I was treated this way.

Perfection Auto Works is hands down the best auto repair service I've used. Mike and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, fair and professional! They are true experts in their field. I began taking my Porsche to Perfection Auto Works 10 years ago after doing some research and comparing prices to repair a drive train issue. Perfection Auto Works was able to resolve and repair my issue immediately and timely. Mike doesn't just review your immediate service needs, but he gives you detail as to what services you may need in the future (ie: tires, oil change, brakes, scheduled services) so you are better prepared to keep your car running smoothly. I brought my 1999 Porsche 996 to Perfection for work on the cooling system. Mike and his crew did a very thorough workup of the entire vehicle, clearly detailed the needed repairs, and identified additional work that would be needed along with advice about what could be deferred. We ended up replacing all the aging hoses from the firewall back, along with a new water pump, air-oil separator, thermostat, and a bunch of other stuff. Mike did quite a bit of "while you are in there" work at a very fair price, and presumably this will save me labor costs in the future.

I really appreciated MIke's knowledge of the vehicle and it's systems and his commitment to doing the job right with no shortcuts. He went to great lengths to explain the issues. The diagnosis of the cooling system issues was a bit complicated by an intermittent fault in a cooling fan, but in the end I am very pleased with the work and the service.

Recently had the EGR cooler, MAF sensor, and various hoses replaced after "Engine Malfunction - Reduced Power" warning light popped up. Having recently moved to Tucson (and being only 2 miles away when CEL came on), I started at BMW of Tucson and spent 3 days trying to get a straight answer as to what was going on and how much would it cost. Read other reviews here; gave Perfection Auto a call; and had a solid plan/estimate within 12 hours that was $1000 below the dealership.

Best of all - work was complete by end of next day. Also noteworthy - Mike E. stayed open an extra hour due to traffic/tow delays and even arranged for Enterprise to have a car ready for me - at a $29/day rate (special for his customers). Could not be more pleased with this team. Highly, highly recommend.

When expecting my third child, my husband and I were somewhat desperate to find a vehicle that could fit the whole family plus a car seat but not drive a mini van. So we fell in love with a used Volvo XC-90 that has turned out to be somewhat of a lemon. Mind you the car is 10 years old and one by one thanks to the desert climate, parts started to disintegrate and fall into disrepair. Mike and his crew have systematically replaced and fixed nearly everything in the vehicle to the point where it drives like a nearly new car and I hope it will last another 10 years. They've also fixed my husband's even older Volvo Wagon and we're both very satisfied with their service and professionalism. Would highly recommend.

Mike is the absolute best when it comes to perfecting your car, going above and beyond and making it a personal experience! I took in my 2009 BMW 328i when my check engine light came on and my car started shaking. Mike explained every issue to me in detail and fixed all my problems with the car, it was done rite the next day! He got the job done right and fast, definitely recommend Perfection AutoWorks for all your BMW issues!

I'm reclaiming a sad and neglected 2001 Boxster. Pretty much everything needed attention and I do my own work. Man this thing is an adventure! Mike, the owner, has been very enthusiastic and giving. He's spent well over an hour with me on the phone making suggestions, sharing knowledge, and encouraging me. Good guys here! Oh, and ladies, that Mike is one handsome devil! And a Porsche fanatic.

Went in recently for a simple oil change, as well as a second inspection on a vehicle I semi-recently bought. For one, the thoroughness of everything that Mike went over to bring the vehicle up to snuff was impressive. Additionally, he suggested factory parts in some instances and gave detailed reasons as to why you might want to spend more on certain items, such as better brakes/pads since it's a heavy vehicle.

And it wasn't some sales-pitch. (I would know.) He also prioritized everything, providing a rough "schedule" of when certain things should be fixed by. And lastly, he's a personable and knowledgable business owner. Ended up chatting with him for some time. I will not hesitate to bring the vehicle back for the work recommended.

Quality work and quality customer service. Because of that, they are usually very busy. Mike is very knowledgeable and a business man. He doesn't sugar coat anything and gets straight down to business. I've had them do a lot of work on my '88 BMW 735i and it's always done correctly. I had them change my A.C. compressor which broke a week later (not their fault) and Mike changed it out free of charge. Mike and his crew are the only people I'll have work on my BMW.

Can I give negative stars? Had major work "guaranteed" by Mike at imPerfection for my Audi A6 Wagon. Paid nearly what the vehicle was worth only to see the check engine light come on 4-5 days later. Crestfallen. Would NEVER even trust this shop to fix my bicycle let alone a complicated German vehicle. Be-Ware.

Although I never met him face-to-face, Mike is a personable guy on the phone and very knowledgeable about his profession. He was very accommodating to me, even after I had dropped my vehicle off in his driveway overnight and then failed to call in the morning to follow up with what I was having done. Once I finally called and we got it all straightened out, his shop was quick to turn my vehicle around and return it to me that same day.

I brought my BMW in for a free inspection, to see what was needful to have serviced before selling it. The free inspection is a great value and appreciated. The downfall here was that, despite the small things that apparently needed attention, Mike stressed the fact that my front breaks, rotors and sensors were in need of IMMEDIATE replacement, and that I was close to "metal on metal".

He made it seem like it wasn't safe to sell the vehicle in the condition the breaks were in, and that I should be weary of even driving it over the weekend before having them replaced. We discussed prices and ultimately I was quoted $688 for replacing front pads, rotors and sensors. He stated he was giving me a "deal" on over all service costs because he wanted to do whatever he could to persuade me to leave the vehicle over the weekend and get our service.

I decided to get a second opinion, because honestly, my breaks didn't feel or sound worn, nor did my BMW ever alert me that my pads in need of replacement. Took the vehicle to Break Masters, and was told the breaks have approximately 2 years of life left, "front breaks approx 82% remaining". Even if I did require front rotors, pads and sensors, two separate Break Master locations quoted my BMW at $430 out the door.

I was extremely disappointed in Mike's quote, and his insistence that I replace my perfectly good breaks. I feel like I have been taken advantage of, and I'm so thankful I went for a second opinion. How many other poor folks have been pushed and passively agreed to pay for services they didn't need, and then followed up by giving the shop 5 star reviews?

I want to finish this review by being optimistic. Perfection Auto Works is not a break speciality shop, I get that. My inspection was free, and I paid nothing when I drove away. I'm ASSUMING they took the wheels off and inspected the breaks. If thats the case, then I was being quoted service that was simply just plain dishonest. If they DIDNT remove the wheels, then just be aware that this may not be the full-point inspection as advertised. (Don't get me wrong here, its free.

I paid nothing, and thankfully, I still have $688+ in my pocket today). Perhaps Mike received misinformation from his inspectors? Perhaps he had me confused with someone else's vehicle? I'm sure there are excuses. The whole experience leaves me wondering what else on the inspection list that I was told needed done, truthfully needs being done?

This was not a 1-star review, but by no means a 5-star experience. Bottom line, get a second opinion, and no, I would not recommend this shop, or would I ever have my vehicles serviced here. There are other shops in town that specialize in European made vehicles to chose from.

My history with Mike and crew began several years ago. I was driving my young daughter to school when my Nissan literally broke down on Mike's doorstep. Little did I know how fortunate I was that morning that we landed right in front of Perfection Auto Works . Mike had his mechanic drive us to school while they diagnosed and fixed the problem. This isn't the end of the story... Months later when I purchased a new Nissan X-Terra, Mike actually helped me again by selling my original vehicle to one of his other customers!

Since that time, about seven years ago, Mike has been my "go to" guy for anything auto related. Though his shop is very busy, Mike always takes the time to thoroughly review all details of service with his customers in an honest and concise manner. Now that my daughter is driving, since that morning long ago, we bring both vehicles to Mike for great service. We wouldn't have it any other way! Thank you Mike for all you do!

Just wanted people to know.....
Mike and his team at Perfection are honest, hard-working, knowledgeable and best of all patriots! As a military member I was in a jam, in between overseas trips. My car broke down as I was moving to Tucson and I saw some of the reviews for this shop and took my car there. Mike went well above and beyond in servicing my car, even communicating with me by email while I was overseas. Everything was done as planned and my car has never run better in the 7 years that I've owned it. Thanks Mike! I'll be back for sure.
