As of today 6/13, this business no longer does emissions testing, per sign on the door and speaking to someone inside, really need to change information on website.

They are a good old school garage that can do anything from new school to old school there is a lot of knowledge working in this shop. I recommend them to all my friends that ask me for a shop to take there car to.

Honest and straightforward. They took the time to show and explain to me what was wrong with my vehicle. Really happy I found this place!

I called for a price quote they didn't do the work I needed done but he told me a shop that does. that was nice

The would not do my emissions test because I didn't have paper work from the state saying I needed my emissions test done. Even though I explained to her the reason. Said they would get fined when in fact that was a lie. I went to someone in Milwaukee and they completed this with no paper work or issues. I feel like they did not want to service me and was discriminatory towards me. Like who randomly comes in wanting an emissions test? Do not recommend they will give you a hard time for absolutely nothing.

I had a great experience with the mechanics here. They really seem to care about what they do and about getting your car fixed. They were willing to ask me questions and give me details on what they did to the car and what they looked at. This eventually helped diagnose a problem I've been having with my car that the dealership mechanics couldn't figure out.

Stopped there on a Thursday morning for emissions test. After a 15 minute wait, in a no frills waiting room, my car was done.

They got me in quickly for an emissions test with no appointment and were very nice throughout the whole experience. Will definitely consider going back for maintenance on my car.

O'Gorman's West Towne Auto on North Avenue is now under new management and the service is terrible. I recently took my car in to them to have my brakes inspected and serviced. The brake pedal on my car was traveling all way to the floor when I stepped on the brakes. After the alleged inspection they told me I needed new rotors and pads on the front brakes along with a flushing and bleeding of the brake lines.

I brought my car in at 08:00am and left it with them all day to complete the repairs I returned at 04:00pm and the repairs had still not been completed and when I got the car back the brake pedal still went all the way to the floor. I subsequently made an appointment with the dealer and when they inspected my car, they found that the brakes had not been bled, and the sliding pin in the right rear calipers was frozen in place.

The additional bleeding and adjustment of the brakes along with freeing and lubing the right rear caliper sliding pin cost me an additional $447.00. This is the worst service I have ever received from an auto repair shop. I was charged me for a complete brake system flush, along with bleeding my brakes neither of which was done. I have lodged a complaint with the State of Wisconsin Bureau of consumer protection and have posted this so other consumers won't be taken advantage of like I was.

There service, was excellent, and very, very timely, I went to get a emission testing!

Needed an emissions test and only had a 10 minute wait (it's first come first serve). Came back a few weeks later to get a headlight issue resolved and they were very communicative about prices of parts and order times. Very fair labor prices, very happy with the service!

They are the best! Twice something was wrong with my car when I drove it, but not for them. They tried to fix it anyway and did research on the issue. They gave me a loaner car both times and didn't charge a thing, not even for the diagnosis or the use of their car! Wonderful people!

Went for an emissions test, out in less than ten minutes. Very efficient. Remember to enter using the North Avenue entrance and not the 71st Street entrance. (Parking spaces slant diagonally.)

My mother is 95 and she has been going to O'Gorman's for over 35 years. We trust O'Gormans to be honest and fair and consistent which they have been. We had a defective part that was under warranty and they covered the three hours of labor for installing it again. My mother's three-year battery was very low on charge and it was a little over warranty and they covered the battery and charged only for labor.

The technician caught it. My mother doesn't have a cell phone and would've gotten stuck somewhere. O'Gormans is efficient, professional, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. You won't be disappointed using this great auto repair shop.

Great owner, looking over his staff had to stop by to get emissions done, this is a unique place we're they actually do emissions all other places turned me away i.e. Jiffy Lube, 2 separate Valvoline locations and Dave's repair on Forest Home Ave were Valvoline told me to go. The fact is that they do emissions and make it easy to get renewal stickers for $10.00 is greatly appreciated to the automotive community, the waiting room was clean and pleasant, trim work carpentry was completed to the highest standards which speaks to me, attention to detail is present, something you don't find with franchise locations. Open bible was a nice touch as well.

We have taken several of our vehicles to o'gorman's for a number of years. Their service is good. The hours are more limited due to the size of the shop, but I'm willing to take the effort to go to a place that is smaller and has quality people and work rather than a place that just wants sell me something or not fix the entire problem so I keep coming back.

Brought my car into O'Gorman's to have the exhaust fixed. The exhaust rusted out of the car and wanted to get it fixed. O' Gorman's wanted to replace the whole system front to back. I declined and took it to two different places which both said " I don't know why they suggested to replace the whole front to back". It seems like O'Gorman's wanted to replace the whole exhaust so they could get the catalytic converter and replace the car's with a cheaper version. Would not recommend taking your car here to even get an oil change

I had to have my emissions tested and I had wonderful experience. It was easy to make and appointment and was called when my vehicle was ready. I will definately be back

A previous positive review notwithstanding, today the staff behind the service desk as well as the person driving my cars did not wear face masks. In this dangerous time, when viruses are easily spread, that was not a good encouragement to customers.

Charged me $191 to put a battery connector on my car- totally ignored the short in system- went to leave and car wouldnt start/ the mechanic and manager went on and on about how bad of shape my car was in. The mechanic was very proud of the battery hold down system he installed- two zip tie cables around the battery strap-yeeesh

Not impressed - name of the game is to upsell here. Brought my vehicle in 2x and got several recommendations on necessary service. They can handle oil changes but wouldn't go beyond that. I had need my rear differential fluid changed as received a call that it was a true necessity and new this was likely the case given my mileage. I agreed & less than 1 day later a seal started to leak on the front of the differential.

Took my car there for an oil change, and received a call from the tech saying that my brake lights were on and he couldn't turn them off. I asked if he had time to look into the issue and he said he didn't have time to fix it. When I picked up the car later in the afternoon, I saw right away that the parking light button must have been pressed by the technician during the oil change, resulting to have the brake lights on, even when the car was turned off.

If the technician would have just taken 5 minutes to look into his mistake, it would have been easily corrected instead of causing me house of stress on freaking out about having to get my brake lights fixed. Do yourself a favor and find an auto technician who cares about their customers and not just trying to fix as many as possible in a day.

This is the third time I've been here to get my emissions test done. * something that should take 5 minutes to get told this time that "were just not doing them today". When the sign even says M-fri 8am-12pm etc. She knew this was my third time trying to get this accomplished. Do not waste your time coming here. Not even an apology as they are supposed to be doing them every week day.

I did ask for cheaper alternatives and was presented with nothing. I asked if only the part that was broken could be replaced and was told no that the exhaust was one piece. Please get your facts straight.

These guys were able to get me in right away for a tire rotation (lucky for me). Very nice employees. Great, clean waiting room. I would return for a tire rotation or oil change in the future!

Can definitely see why this place has so many 1 star reviews! Very disappointed, since I try to use local businesses- never again for this one. Came in with a coupon (mailed to me by Gorman's), was told the service would cost more than was advertised. Reluctantly told they would "do a one time exception" and charge me what was advertised.really?

All kinds of religious statements around the business- WWJD? Doubt it would be bait and switch. Shame on you Checked around like others here have stated- ridiculous price gouging and rude service.

Very disappointed of the service of this local place! Expect the prices of the dealer. Reply to you comment, Sean: I did sign up for the initial price, which was reduced from 89,99 to 65 :included to dismount the tire, change the TPS, put the tire back, mount and balance. But in realty the issue was only to reset the computer, which is same operation that you would do when you change your oil( 30 sec).

Your guys never even took the tire from the car. That's what make me disappointed, if you ask me I absolutely believe that the right thing to do in that case to return the money to Customer. In respect to "your part" that's a certified OEM Lexus part, you I am sure saw that it was in sealed package. So no worries and certainly I am not interested to call and discuss more.

I took my car in for an emissions test and also asked them to check my brake lights which I had been told were out. I was told that the bulbs were perfectly fine but the electrical system would have to be looked at; a 1-2 hour diagnosis. I left without any work done beyond the emissions test. I took my car to my local shop (they don't perform emissions tests) and they replaced the two bulbs and my brake lights are working fine once again. Who knows how many hundreds of dollars O'Gorman's would have charged for "fixing" my electrical system. AVOID O'GORMAN'S!

My 1st experience with them was not good at all but Sean reached out to me and apologized for the experience I had. We communicated via email a couple times and through those emails we were able to reach a solution that I and they were happy with. I was shocked and impressed that Sean cares so much to try and make the customer happy and figure out the root of the problem. Because of his actions, I will consider taking our vehicle back here if it needs any repairs.
