O'Brien Tire & Auto Care has been located at 3924 Nameoki Road in Granite City, IL for over 90 years. We serve the auto repair and new tire needs of customers in Granite City, IL, Edwardsville, IL, Glen Carbon, IL, Pontoon Beach, IL, and surrounding areas. Just like many businesses along Route 66, O'Brien Tire and Auto Care started out as a dream, and for the last 90 years the owners still keep a small, old fashioned service approach.
For more than 100 years, O'Brien Tire & Auto Care has been helping Granite City, Illinois families with new tires, scheduled maintenance, and automotive repair services. Times have changed since our foundation in the 1920s, but our commitment to you has not. The certified technicians at our repair shop are experts in providing high-quality tire services, including wheel alignments, tire installations, tire balancing, tire rotations and tire inspections. In addition to jeopardizing your safety, riding on a damaged or flat tire can cause rim damage and lead to other costly repairs, so it's best to have your tires examined and repaired at the first sign of trouble. If you address your tire problem early on, the tire repair might be as simple as a patch and tire plug.
Service was done in a timely fashion and any additional work was done after informing us of the reason. Discovered a flat tire on Sunday morning as I prepared to leave for church. Sunday afternoon AAA came and replaced the tire with the temporary tire that is supplied with your car purchase. There was a big (approximately) 4 iron bolt stuck into the tire.

O'Brian Tire was there when we needed new tires on our travel trailer after a blowout. They had the right tires on hand and were able to get me on my way first thing in the morning. I can say Eric was easy to work with and was able to get me a quality job done right within a reasonable price. I would also like to say the waiting lounge provided me a historical insight to O'Brian Tire with it's 90 year existence as probably the oldest operational auto repair shop on the route 66 corridor. I know feel like a part of the history knowing I was a customer. Thanks again for being there when I needed your assistance.

So I guess they have one mechanic working according to this. YOUR staffing issues is not my problem. I already scheduled an appt one week out and when YOUR receptionist called me she wanted to schedule me for the next weekend. And you agreed to my bringing in my own oil and filter because it is a high performance vehicle. I then gave you guys another chance with my transmission issue which you guys did fix, you want to charge my $120 for radiator fluid when you told me the water pump was going out.
The exact same fluid I paid $35 dollars for. My friend works at Advanced along with one of your workers and that is highway robbery. Go to Chucks Auto Care in Pontoon. Same level of service and they are do not overcharge you for parts.

After a dealership told me I needed new tires and that they could hook me up with some at a good rate, I brought my jeep in and Erik took a look at my tires and said they just needed balanced. This honest young man saved me a lot of money and when I do need new tires I will be going to Obriens. Service: Wheel alignment

Shouldn't take you taking your car back twice to get fixed/done what should have been done correctly the first time. Response to owner. The alignment was NOT done correctly or completely the first time. I have the alignment printout provided by O'Briens to prove this statement. The reason for the return was alignment related and was checked and readjusted because it was not in specifications I also have printout to prove this. 2 days and 10 hours of time to fix an alignment that was not done correctly by O'briens. Complimentary. LoL.fixing your mistakes is not Complimentary.
Truck still doesn't drive good. I gave a 3 star out of kindness. First picture shows when I took truck back after first alignment. Your employees wrote the notes NOT I and clearly states NOT in specifications. 2nd picture shows still NOT in specifications after realignment. 3rd and final picture show the final alignment provided.barely in specifications with numbers that are NOT equal or set to manufacturer recommended specs, just set barely into allowed specifications range spread.
The " camber adjusters " have been in the truck since 2005 when installed by me when I was an ASE CERTIFIED AUTO TECHNICIAN. I can provide pictures of multiple certificates I have obtained from working in the Automotive repair industry over 30+ years experience. Don't talk to me like I am dumb or like I don't know what I am talking about. The ONLY reason I no longer work in the Automotive industry is because I am physically disabled due too stroke.

O'brien has never done me bad far as my tire needing to fixed or rotating them. Our family trust them fully. keep up the good work. Also waiting room is super clean Heather was awesome. Its very rare to go to a place that treat you nice as o'briens. Ian brought me to the back checked me out and also sanitized my keys and bank card after he had use them. Just awesome! Love the fact they never try to upsale you on things that might need to be done. Also drinks and snacks are complimentary.
