Mulroy's body shop has been family owned and operated for 60 years. Since our founding in 1961, it has been our goal to provide Minneapolis and the surrounding communities with high-quality repairs and excellent customer service. Being a family business, we also understand the need for balance in life.
At Mulroy's, Whether you've been in a minor fender-bender or a more serious accident, our skilled technicians will repair your vehicle to factory specifications. We will inspect your vehicle for visible body damage and structural problems that are much tougher to spot. Our certified technicians utilize equipment and expertise to handle the repair of damaged mechanical components. All our repairs come with a written lifetime warranty. Normal wear and tear happen over the course of your vehicle's lifetime.
Don't be steered into another accident by your insurance company or the other parties' insurance company. Did you know some insurance companies have ownership in some shops? Makes you wonder who the customer really is. Mulroy's Body Shop does not participate in many of the repair networks because of the concessions or stipulations in the contracts, which generally leads to a lower cost/lower quality repair. We believe we have a responsibility to the vehicle owner, who is ultimately our customer, not the insurance company.
If it doesn't, we can still help. We know it isn't always possible financially to repair your car to "like new" condition. We can help you decide if it makes sense to buy used parts, forego warranty work and save you money. Rest assured we'll still use the best quality parts available and get you rolling again, safe and sound.

Great communication with the receptionist, she was fantastic at explaining things and being flexible with timing. Also very quick calls back when I needed to leave a message. Made the whole process much less stressful. Note: I did not end up getting any work done here since the car ended up being totalled so I can't speak to the quality of their work, just their customer service.

I've had four vehicles repaired by Mulroys in the last 8 months. They do a great job. The repairs were reasonably priced, the staff communicates well and their customer service is stellar. All the repairs were done in a timely way. I'll be using Mulroys again in the future.

We've had a Mini Cooper (twice on that one) and a few different Subarus in for repairs at Mulroy's and they've been aces every time. Everyone I've interacted with there has been only helpful and friendly, which matters all the more when you're dealing with the inconvenience of a car that's been mashed up. They have been great with communicating throughout the process and their work has always been exact. I obviously hope I don't need to be a customer again anytime soon but they'll be my choice the next time. No question.

I went in for a followup a year after a repair, because my car was making a rubbing sound, and I thought it might be related to the earlier claim. They got me in, came with me on a drive, diagnosed the problem and repaired it on the side of the road (It was a heat shield rubbing against the exhaust system). This wasn't related to the earlier claim, but they didn't charge me another penny. I was amazed at their diagnostic skill and generosity in fixing it for free.

We have used Mulroy's over the years for various work and have always had a good experience. They are honest with their estimates. We recently had an experience where the part needed was less than the quoted price to get a replacement. They were upfront about that and passed the savings on to me, the customer. THAT is customer service!

I was recommend to Mulroy's by my insurance company. They were AWESOME. They provided transportation home for me after dropping off my car and were easy to get a hold of for information when my car was being repaired. On the day of pick up, they brought my car back into the shop a half hour before I arrived to make sure it was warm and our lovely Minnesota snow had melted off. My car was in better shape and cleaner than before my accident!

OK I am writing this review even before they have finished the work on my car. I have never experienced such great customer service! I went with Mulroys as they work with State Farm, but going forward I will always go to them. The receptionist was very kind and helpful on the initial call. When I dropped off my car they spent quite a bit of one on one time going over the work that needed to be done and explaining the process.

This was followed up by a phone call check in the next day. In addition they work with Enterprise so the same time I dropped off my car Enterprise was waiting there with my rental car. This all was so easy, way too easy! Looking forward to getting my car back and hopefully will never have to return, but if I do it will be Mulroys!

Some jerk decided to hit my car that was parked on the street and run off like it was nothing. When I went out to my car later, my wheelwell was super messed up and I couldn't even open my door. I was so mad! Called the claim into my insurance company and I was referred to Mulroys. They were super easy to communicate with and my car was fixed up in a week.

They cleaned outside and in. I was happy with the repairs and really just quite pleased I could get into my vehicle again. They do offer a warranty on the repairs that they do in the shop. Parking in the area is tough since its right off nicollet (especially if its during a snow emergency and during rush hour.or both).

Had a great experience doing business with Mulroy's Body Shop. Everyone was polite and very eager to help. Husein was the associate who helped me and I didn't have to wait at all. He was able to provide me with a quote for what the body damage on my car would be and had it sent to me in less than an hour later. Ask for him, he is amazing!

I was t-boned in February, and Mulroy's was able to get me in for a quote and estimate in very short time! The work was completed ahead of schedule and they were even nice enough to have a loaner vehicle since I don't have that service with my insurance. They worked great in communicating with my insurance and with me. For as much of a hassle that getting in accident was, the best decision I made was going to Mulroy's for the auto body repair.

My car was hit while parked and no note left. While that was awful, my experience with my insurance company (Progressive), Mulroy's and Enterprise was extremely painless. I was picked up at Mulroy's by Enterprise and was able to drop the rental car there once it was fixed. My car was ready in a week and they have a sweet pontoon lobby (for real). Such a great experience and such a great business.

Had to comment. I've used them on two different occasions. I got multiple bids after someone rear ended me in my new Jeep. They were the most competitive/lowest bid. They give you damage estimates on the spot. They are honest, reasonable and fast. Great service and they do amazing work! Looked just like new when I got it back. I highly recommend them.

I have brought a couple of vehicles in for work here and have had great experiences both times. Both times it was for work on new/newer vehicles (Audi/VW). Once for rear-view mirror repair (yep, I took it off backing out of my own garage), and the second time for bumper/rear wheel well after being rear-ended in a hit & run. Jerry is awesome! He was super patient and accommodating.

I had a rental through my insurance company but they do have loaners if you do not. 4-stars instead of 5 only for a bit of a snafu with the tail-lights but Jerry worked with the dealership to make sure I had the correct repair and the shop took care of it on my behalf.

I'm very pleased with the work done. They were really fast and very helpful. The only bad thing is the front desk lady "Bridget" she's crabby and rude. mind you I don't say this lightly. I have had to interact with her 4 times. Each time she's abrupt and unpleasant.

Great service! After having slow and overall bad service from the insurance company; it was a great change switching to mulroys great customer service. And even though the part was hard to get for the repair they stayed in contact and contacted the rental car company for me. The repair done looked great, and the best part was they cleaned the exterior AND interior of my car witch was above and beyond what was needed! Thanks mulroys!

I brought my car here last year based on reviews, and it is not far from my house. The work was average and customer service was dismissive. When I brought the car in, I signed the paper work for the insurance and repair. They were friendly. I had no idea at that point what parts were needed or how long it would take, but they were going to call me.

I called a couple days later to see if they had even looked at it. I was told it should be done tomorrow afternoon. It took several more days, but I didn't need the car. I just thought it was strange nobody told me anything. When I went to pick up my car, I paid my deductible. At that point, the person handed me my keys and said it's over there on the lot.

Nobody ever said what was done to fix the damages. Nobody ever walked me to the car and looked it over with me. When I was getting in, there was a large piece of trim sitting in the back seat. I went back inside and asked if I should keep it or what it was for. I was told it was replaced and just the old part. I actually had to ask if I was expected to take it home.

At that point they offered to throw it away for me. When I got home, I was finding so much glass in the car still. A fair amount in plain sight, but a lot in the seat folds. I also thought the paint job was not good. There was over spray in places that had not been painted leaving tape lines and a palm print was faintly visible. I called a day or two later and expressed my frustrations.

They told me to bring it in. The office person who came out treated me like I was being too picky. She made excuses for the dull shadows in the finish and the remaining glass. She said that the finish was dirty from people getting in and out the car and that there is always some glass remaining. They took the car for half an hour or so to vacuum again and buff shine the paint.

When they brought the car around, a friendly person came and looked at it. I think he was an owner or mechanic. The first time I ever met one during my visits. He said to bring it back if I had concerns. I still see the shadows and when I tilted the back seats up at a later time, there was so much glass it had obviously been over looked completely.

It was easier to vacuum it myself at this point, and I will live with some dull paint spots to avoid a return visit. The only other experience I have with a collision or repair was years earlier at a place on Lyndale that begins with the letter H. That experience was so much better. I would not come back here again.

Based on the good reviews, I brought my car there to have a small scrape sanded and painted--a relatively minor, non-insurance job. They did a good job with the paint color match, but when I picked up the car there was a small nick in the repaired area that wasn't there when I brought in the car. They refused to take any responsibility for it, and it wasn't worth my turning it into a federal case. But I was really turned off by their response--dismissive, arrogant, even a bit hostile. I won't be back.

My daughter brought my car there after she had been rear ended. I was out of town and we needed to get an estimate ASAP. This shop was chosen because it is considered a blue ribbon shop by Nationwide insurance company. They did an excellent job of assessing the damage and following up with me and the two insurance companies. Once the estimate was approved, the scheduling was achieved compatible with my needs.

I brought it in, the replacement rental car was there shortly and voila' the car was fixed two days sooner then anticipated. A day later, we examined the coloration of the bumpers and felt they were a shade lighter then the rest of the car. I called them up and now I am set to have the adjoining pieces buffed out to better match the fresh paint.

If that doesn't work he has offered to repaint the bumpers. He explained if I opened the door and compared the coloration of the door jamb (that had not been exposed to the sun) to the roof line, I would see the same shading difference. All sound plausible to me. This is a shop that knows their trade and takes pride in their work. I would have assigned a perfect 5 stars had the coloration issue not have come up.

I guess I would have preferred that either they forewarn me and/or attempted to tint the bumper to match the fading/yellowing of the body paint. The endorsement of the shop under these circumstances is a fairly easy one.because not one dime came from my pocket. None the less, much could have gone awry and it didn't, so I am a happy customer of Mulroy's.
