Monticello Auto Body started in 19xx by John Johnson on Chelsea Road in Monticello. Initially as a rented space the pace of growth warranted a larger presence. He bought the corner lot next to the rental and built a new facility, capable of handling many more vehicles. In 2009 John bought some space in St. Michael and expanded his regional reach to Eastern Minnesota, closer to Minneapolis. With both locations in place we now have expanded services and a method to handle overflow during times of increased customer traffic.
At Monticello Auto Body you can have confidence that we will restore your vehicle's paint coat to the highest possible quality. We are a DuPont Assurance of Quality collision repair center. Each vehicle is worked on as if it was our own. We assure superior materials and workmanship using only high-grade DuPont and Spies Hecker quality paint systems, and technicians professionally trained in their use. We are committed and stand behind the quality of our work with a warranty backed by our shop and DuPont.
You have the option to leave your vehicle at our shop and ask the insurance company to inspect the vehicle here. Some insurance companies ask you to visit their drive-in claims center before having work done. There is no law requiring you to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal for vehicle repair.

After months of being patient and MULTIPLE attempts to make sure they are taking care of us, I was told once again that they have no record of our estimate, and no parts were ordered. If you attempt to work with these guys, make sure you get electronic confirmation on everything they say they are doing. Joe was very kind in person and on the phone, portraying that he has everything under control, but did zero actual work. Very frustrating. In a world of delayed parts, it is tough to hear that after all this time we aren't even in line yet.

Took my car in with extensive Hail damage. Progressive was extremely low on their repair estimate. Monticello Auto Body worked with Progressive to get my car back to condition before hail damage. They had to paint some areas and i cannot tell the old versus the new. Right now my other car is in their shop having some other work done. I was given a loaner car which was in excellent condition.

I just wanted to say our experience with Monticello auto shop was nothing but awesome. We had questions answered clearly. The staff was super nice. And our car looks allot better than when it went in for service. I will certainly be referring anyone I know to them. Thanks again for turning an unfortunate experience into a very good one.

Good quality work, but unfortunately had to find things out the hard way that customer service and timeliness of their work is apparently NOT their strong suit. Recently had my truck in there for some very minimal damage that was done to rear-end and was told twice that it should not be a problem to get it done and have it back to me within a weeks time.
When picking it up exactly 2 weeks after it was initially dropped off, I found that it basically sat for over a week before it was ever touched. As long as you're not in a hurry to have your vehicle back, I guess I'd then (and only then) would I recommend them.

The quality of repair work done on my car was top notch. I had dents in my car door and fender from a deer run in. It looks great now. However, the communication regarding the completion date was awful. I was originally given a 7 day completion estimate. My insurance company then notified me it would be 8 days.okay fine. When going there to pick it up on a Friday we were told they needed another day (which really meant 4 days because of a long holiday weekend). I called on Tuesday to make sure it was ready. Nope, they needed another day. I'm just annoyed that THEY didn't call ME! Very poor customer service.

Don't waste your time! I went there to get a simple estimate and they didn't want to cause my adjuster had looked at vehicle even though he told me to go get a estimate at the shop that i wanted to get it fixed at. A week later I still haven't heard back. So I went to St. Cloud collision center and Northstar Auto body both located in St cloud and both excellent!
They were happy to give me a detailed estimate all printed out and went through it with me. They didn't care one bit if my adjuster had looked at vehicle or not. They both had free rental vehicles available also!
