Auto Clinic of MD is great! Excellent service and diagnosis. I was easily able to see exactly what the issue was with the provided pics sent to my phone which also included a full report of the overall condition of my vehicle. I highly recommend auto clinc of MD for all your auto needs.

Their customer service is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, professional and they care about your car. The only thing that I would even complain about is the cost of their parts & labor. They charge 4 times the price of the tie rods that failed inspection I bought at Advance Auto. I had to get my mechanic to replace the tie rods because I couldn't afford their price at 1/4th the price.

However unless you have someone else who can do the repairs Caton Auto is comparable to or better than all other Shops. They were completely understanding and had no problem with me having someone else to do the job. I did have them do the wheel alignment and they are reasonably priced on that and very reliable. I would highly recommend them over other auto repair shops.

Friendly as always, great service, they are quick and do an incredible job, they called me with updates on my car and asked if I wanted certain things done and gave me the price before they did it. These people are the best, and the only mechanics I use when I have car issues. They are the epitome of professionalism. Great day for car repair services at Caton Auto Clinic. I took my 4runner in for shaking and vibrating. Not only did the service technician resolve the problem, but he completed the task in record timing. The service was awesome because the folks at Caton Auto Clinic really care. Before any services were rendered, a complete detailed list of needed repairs was sent to my phone. Pictures were included! An estimate of cost was given, and I received a discount. I have been a customer for many years but it was time to replace my old vehicle and the car purchase came with 2 years of free oil changes/service from the dealer. I can't pass up free but I was actually looking forward to it ending so I could return to Caton's Auto. Where everyone, especially Deana, Service Advisor, & K3-Tech, is so down to earth and give you information about your car that makes sense to "non-car folks"! A perfect auto repair clinic for everyone.

I have been using Caton Auto Clinic for around 10 years. I always thought of them as fair and honest, and reasonably priced. But recently every estimate has seemed really high. I drummed it up to increasing prices and gritted my teeth as I dished out my hard earned $. But this most recent incident has me livid and I can't hold back. I took my van to Caton Auto Clinic in the Fall for front brake work, and they said that the rear brake pads were close to being worn down and that the rotors would need to be replaced as well.

I asked how long they estimated and they said probably a few months. So I waited 5 months and thought I should get them replaced before the family and I drive to Florida in April. I took the van to Midas instead of Caton Auto Clinic. They looked at the brakes and said everything was fine, that I could drive to Florida and back 30 times. On top of that, they rotated my tires for free and didn't charge me for the brake inspection.

No charges! Caton Auto Clinic lost a customer for life today. I also need some rear end work on another car and Caton Auto Clinic quoted me $2,400. Took it to a private mechanic and he said he would do the work for $200, so with the parts at $550 I'm looking at $750 total. Now, I understand a shop vs. a private mechanic has overhead but not THAT much overhead.

Avoid Caton Auto Clinic at all costs. RESPONSE TO TIM, OWNER: I am not talking about the Jeep that you inspected last week but my minivan you looked at in the Fall. You are correct - my Jeep does need new rear brakes which I am getting done elsewhere along with the other rear end work because of cost. But the minivan (Toyota Sienna) does not need new rear brake pads and rotors, as your report you gave me in the Fall indicated

Received a friendly welcome and went out of their way to find someone to look at my tire. They told me exactly what was wrong with it and where to go to get it fixed.

I brought my car to Caton Auto Clinic for a second opinion after receiving a lengthy list of fixes needed, from a local dealership. They were able to get my car in the very next day after calling them. They provided timely shuttle services to and from my house. They gave a report with pictures included of all the items inspected and their condition.

It turns out that my car is in great shape; and there were no leaks, no parts needing to be replaced, or fluids to be drained and refilled. While this may not always be the case, I have learned that Caton Auto Clinic will not scam you for extra unnecessary work; they are a trusted local shop and I would highly recommend them as your choice of an auto repair shop. They gained a new customer in me!

Caton Auto Clinic has always taken great care of my car. I feel at ease every time I come in or leave my vehicle with them. The staff is always friendly and willing to do what it takes to fix any of my issues. And I'm grateful for the timeliness of the work they do. 5 stars for customer service and diagnosing issues with my vehicle. Very professional and nice atmosphere. However, 1 star for very high estimates for work, which I consider inexcusable. I had already checked with the local Toyota dealership and another autobody shop across the street for estimates, and somehow Caton Auto came in 50-90% (close to double!) higher in price for the exact same work. Stunned and disappointed, to say the least. I ended up getting all the vehicle work done at another shop.

I was visiting relatives in Catonsville and needed find a garage could check out my tire pressure gage so that I could drive back home in Ohio. The Yelp ratings for the Caton Auto Clinic were the best I could find and was not disappointed. I was treated in the waiting room by a staff member whose job it is to keep customers informed and make sure that their needs are addressed.

The other staff were equally friendly and professional. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. They diagnosed the problem, addressed it promptly and affordable and got me back on the road in time to get to a meeting that afternoon. I highly recommend Caton Auto Clinic

I brought my car here after an unfortunate incident in a parking lot. The staff was incredibly friendly and triaged the problem quickly. They were super willing to work with me and while I did not ultimately do the repair there, the service was top notch and, if the circumstances were different, I would absolutely bring my car here.

Not trustworthy in my opinion. I brought my car to them about an oil leak/oil burning issue, made it clear I knew my car (I do a lot of work on it myself), yet they quoted me $1350.00 for relatively minor repairs. I'm insulted they thought I'd pay $700 for an oil pan gasket (I've had a whole new oil pan put in for less than half that). Camshaft sensor quote was absurd too (it's easy to get to, held in by only one bolt, and just needed a 50 o-ring -- NOT a whole new sensor). Ended up replacing the valve cover, valve cover gasket, and o-ring myself instead of wasting time looking for another shop.

We found ourselves in a jam with an overheating truck near Caton auto clinic. I called and Will said that on late Friday afternoon he could not help us but if we wanted to bring it by they could look at it Monday morning. We got there just before closing and he had Kenny come out to take a look. Before we knew it several staff were working on the truck then and there.

The guys were smart, polite and professional. The problem was identified and fixed in 1/2 hour and they refused payment. We were grateful and amazed by this experience. Goodwill lives on!

Carton Auto Clinic is the most professional, honest, trustworthy business to deal with. I have been taking my business there for 9 years. I have referred business their way and will continue to do so. I was in a bind to get my car back by a certain time today to go to work and delivery of the part needed was somehow delayed in shipment. Todd (my mechanic) stayed late last night after closing in this heat we are having and finished so that I could get to my meeting and work in time today. (Will, ) he needs a day off with pay. Paid 2600 for repairs and an inspection and they didn't bother to investigate why the check engine light stayed on until I asked them nor did they check the fuses for the vehicle, because the doors do lock remotely

So my Saturn Vue has been annoying the hell out of me. I've been having an issue with the tire pressure indicator and when I put air, the warning would've turn off. I figured that I either have a leak in my tire(s) or the air pressure sensor wasn't working. I relied on good old Yelp to find a shop nearby and came across Caton Auto. I dropped off my car and I always get a little uneasy at auto shops cause you feel like you're vulnerable but my experience was amazing.

I checked in and waited in the lobby. They have free water, snacks and coffee. They came up to me shortly after and said that my sensor wasn't working and there was no pressure on getting it replaced. They said it would cost about $200 to fix and it actually was the price I was expecting if that was the issue. I just didn't want to pay that for a sensor.

And the mechanic told me that he doesn't blame me. I asked how much it would be and he said nothing. They even adjusted my tire pressure since some were off due to filling it with air at the gas stations and they aren't the most accurate. I really wasn't expecting this kind of service and would come back to this place in the future for services to my vehicle. Awesome place!

Absolutely amazing customer service. I was in the area for work when my alternator belt broke and I had to get to the closest garage I could find. Everyone at the Caton Auto Clinic helped me right away and got me back on the road in less than two hours. I was amazed! Not only did the fix my car right away, they gave me a great price and there was a dog. I can't say enough good things about this place and I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.

Very friendly people. Definitely the small town shop type of feel with the organization and professionalism of an establishment that values their customers. I spoke with dina who who friendly and kept me informed along the way with my MD state inspection. The car was dropped off the evening before and within a couple hours of opening the next day it was already done!

I usually clear my car out when dropping it off anywhere but in this case I didn't and none of my belongings, including money, were tampered with. Also Scott was the person who I contacted via yelp. His response time was super fast and his willingness to answer a series of questions earned my trust and business. These guys are going to be my first choice the next time I need stuff taken care. Definitely recommend.

I recently moved here and needed to have a state inspection done on my car so I came here because the other reviews were good. The inspection itself didn't take too long, they said everything was good with the exception of my windshield wipers. The man then proceeded to tell me that my bill was $165! I was surprised and asked why the bill was so much and he very condescendingly informed me that my windshield wipers were FORTY dollars---EACH!

I did a quick look up on my phone and every single site I went to had them for much cheaper (as little as $11). I then told them to not put the wipers on my car since I had no intention of paying $80 for wipers. Another man came out and strongly implied that I was stupid for trying to order cheaper ones online ("do you even know what you will be getting?" he asked. Amazon has never not delivered the product as advertised) and when that didn't work, started to imply I was being cheap (the wipers I bought were $32.$48 is a pretty big difference for the exact same wipers) and when that didn't work, then informed me that the inspection was only good for 30 days/1,000 miles (I have 2 day shipping and I don't work in Cleveland so I don't know why that mattered).

To add insult to injury, when I came back in to get the inspection certificate (oh he generously told me he wouldn't charge me for a reinspect.too bad by law he couldn't charge me for anything that only requires a visual reinspect per Maryland LAW) he goes "I wish I knew you were in the military, we have a discount".hmmmm. I guess telling the man "I am now stationed here" when he asked why I was in Maryland and my ENTIRE UNIFORM sitting on the passenger seat in plain view for the WHOLE inspection was not enough for him to ask me if I was in the military.

He could have adjusted the price of the inspection right then but he didn't, apparently the "free" reinspect was my discount. What kills me is they have a "support the military" sign in their office. I guess that only applies to men who bring their cars in. Women just get a free dose of sexism and some overpriced windshield wipers.

Local family owned. Super clean. Very professional. Even the bathrooms are clean! The prices are reasonable, and you can find coupons online. Oh, and the most important part, they are a trustworthy shop. They don't make recommendations to fix unbroken parts. This alone is better than 90% of other shops these days.
