They seem like a company genuinely interested in providing good service. Very well documented inspection/ repair reports including photo's. Always pleasant interactions and we will certainly be back!

Cam and the technician were great and helped me to decide that it was not worth fixing my too old car. They patiently answered my many questions and got prices for work that I ultimately decided not to do. I will definitely be using them to work on my other cars.

I requested a brake fluid change and coolant change; they let me know my brake fluid was within specifications. I had them do it anyways as I have a lot of miles on my Honda. They asked if my timing belt had ever been changed; I said no. They gave me an estimate to do the timing belt and replace the water pump and I had them do that because of the high mileage; the total cost came under the estimate.

While doing my brake fluid they checked my brake pads and let me know they did not need to be changed at this time but it may need to be done after a bit. I appreciate their thoroughness and honesty. I will be back again!

Metro called me with updates as soon as they knew the information themselves, and I wasn't left waiting any longer than absolutely necessary. They also have a wonderful online system to share with you exactly what they found on your car and what priorities each problem is. As a DIYer normally, this was valuable information for me. They also got my transfer case completely rebuilt in one day, at the lowest price I could have possibly expected.

This is the only place in Fairbanks I trust with my Suzuki SX4, and my husband's Honda CRV. They have a lot of expertise, integrity and professionalism that I haven't observed elsewhere. Whenever there is a repair needed, they include before and after images so you can see that there was, in fact, a problem, and the new part installed or improvement after the repair. Parts for my Suzuki are sometimes difficult to find because the manufacturer doesn't make cars anymore, but Metro went out of their way to track down a reliable supplier - all the way to Japan!

They might be a bit more expensive than some other places sometimes (not always), but to me it's worth it to know I'm not being jerked around and that the work is done right. They are also just pleasant people to deal with. We are military, and so have gone to many mechanics in many different cities/states, but this is the only one I would recommend.

Best experience we've had with a shop in Fairbanks. Very knowledgeable techs who were prompt in communicating with us and explained what needed to be done in a way we could understand. They did not do any work that we didn't need or approve beforehand, and helped advise us on a safe timeframe to fix some new issues that we couldn't afford to fix right now. I would definitely recommend this shop above the others we've used in Fairbanks in the past.

Once again Metro knocks it out of the park. Not only did they guarantee and re-fix a previous fix that failed, but the refunded diagnostic fees as well. I've been a customer at metropolitan several times over the last couple years, and have always been happy with their business. Unfortunately today, I came to pick up my car and it was not plugged in, and wouldn't start due to sitting outside overnight at -30F. I notified them that I wouldn't be able to pick it up until today, and don't think I would need to remind a car repair company to plug it in for me.

Left me feeling disappointed, and a little frustrated that I would have to spend more time coordinating another ride and take more time out of my day to deal with this situation that could have easily been remedied.

Once again, Metropolitan Garage has met and exceeded my expectations! It has been extremely cold (-25 down to -29) in Fairbanks, Alaska area. My 2005 Doge Ram 1500 had massive issues on interior defrosting/heating as well as, shorting out the outlet every time I'd try to plug in for engine block/oil pan and radiator heating. Along with those problems I was loosing a gallon of coolant every couple days.

What a big headache especially during these frigid temperatures. The mechanics at Metropolitan are top notch at finding and repairing my trucks' problems. Right on point. Professional and quick! Fantastic service! A bit spendy, perhaps, but 100% worth it because I have always gotten my vehicle back the same day. not days later. Cudoos to the staff and manager of this establishment! I have yet to regret bringing my only mode of transportation to Metropolitan Garage for repairs!

Metropolitan Garage is the most honest, professional auto repair service that we have ever patronized in Fairbanks. Their work is top-notch and reasonably priced. And, if they feel you do not need a service or product (such as new tires), they will actually tell you.

They have been taking care of our Subaru going on 4yrs now. This shop is top of the line in all respects. I used to work in automotive shops for years so I am really honed in to a place that is good and those that are not. The staff, their report break down and just overall professionalism is something you simply do not find much anymore. Take your rig there with full confidence. Metro was awesome, despite being super busy during the tire change out season. They even got an oil change done for me when I asked if they could do it last minute. Super helpful staff willing to talk through inspection details, and they got my vehicle done a little earlier in the work day so I wouldn't have to be without a car. Definitely will be back for any future maintenance needs!

I am very happy that I went with Metro Garage. I appreciate that they were honest with the time it could take to get my car in but they were able to get it in a lot sooner. The customer service was excellent! Everyone I spoke to was so nice and great at communicating so I knew what to expect. I will trust them in the future to take care of my car!

I have been to Metropolitan Garage many times through the past several years and am always impressed by how communicative, thorough, and friendly they are. I always get the impression they are genuinely looking out for me as a customer and they have always been honest about the service options for my car, and certainly have never tried to extract more money from me with unnecessary services. These folks are good-hearted and effective, highly recommended!

Every aspect of this business is high quality. Service is professional and thorough. My car was in for inspection and servicing this week and each part they looked at was photographed, so they have a record that I can see as well. Recommendations were made for immediate attention, flagged for watching, or marked good. There is an easy-to-use online portal. Folks there are all friendly and practice safely.
