Honest mechanics! I had a previous good experience with Metic Motor's so I stopped in to see if they could help assist with solving the issue of my car alarm going off for no reason. Jose was very busy but took the time to look at the fuse and explained my options. He solved my problem in 10 minutes with no charge! Many thanks!

I definitely recommend metric motors if you own a German made car or similar the few times I've been there they've done great work at a reasonable price however they can be more expensive than many of the other options you may have to be aware of that but you get what you pay for

I know it can sound cliche but these guys really are some honest folks when it comes to your car. I've brought my car in there a few times with computer issues and they've always given it to me straight. Luckily a reboot and clearing codes have settled some sensors. Both times they could've just said you have to fix it and I would've. That's a good neighborhood shop! Excellent work and good people. Thank you guys!

I called Metric Motors last minute to help me with a simple brake pad swap. Jose was honest, to the point & easy to work with. Got me in at noon and out the door at 2:30 at a very reasonable price. Great service

My 2018 Mercedes C43 AMG was having steering wheel vibration issues due to a bend in the front wheels. The MB dealer of Stevens Creek kept it for more than 2 weeks, pretended to fix it and gave it back to me handling exactly the same as before. The guys of Metric Motors immediately noticed the problem, kept the car for about 3 days, and returned it to me with perfect wheels: the car now handles like it's supposed to! Also, the curb scratches are completely gone and the wheels look brand new! I cannot recommend this shop enough.

I called a lot of places to help me drive, and all were about the same. My lights are randomly appearing on my dash and I'm curious why, just wanted to see if they can remove it. A lot of repairs wanted to take me an arm and a leg. I drove here and he was very helpful and saved me a lot of money. Honestly, I can say I trust this place, I can't say enough about any other place that serves cars. I highly recommend this place! I just want to thank you so much for your honesty and helpfulness!

These guys do a honest and great job. They took great care of my Porsche, I saw how they treated my car in a great way. They gave great service, and didn't charge for many of the things they've done. They really are very honest, and value great service.

Went in for an oil leak and a loose muffler. Turns out my oil leak was from a loose valve and all they had to do was tighten it along with a bolt on the muffler. They didnt charge me! They said it only took them a couple minutes and they felt bad for charging me! For someone who knows NOTHING about cars i loved the honesty and excellent customer service! They just made a customer for life!

Joel and Jose are pleasant to talk to and they listened to what my concern was with my car. First time I go to this place and so far my car is running good after getting fixed. They get very busy so depending the problem it might take longer as expected.

I had the best experience with Metric Motors. They were able to replace my parts all in one day. Joel was extremely professional, and I mentioned that I needed to replace a rear tire due to a screw I saw. They looked at it and turns out it didn't even penetrate the tire. They saved me from spending money on a tire that I didn't even need. I absolutely love this place and they are my forever mechanics to my Benz. I highly recommend them. If you're looking for an honest, reliable mechanic, Metric Motors is for you! As soon as the warranty expired on my Audi, I stopped going to the dealer and went to Metric Motors for all my service. For 4+ years, Joel and the rest of the team took amazing care of it! Regular tune ups and oil changes are reasonably priced and done same-day. I also had a weird intermittent issue that they worked very hard to figure out.

Every couple of weeks, I'd bring it in for a day or two and they'd try a new solution. Eventually, they conceded that they could not diagnose the problem, but they charged me nothing for what must have been at least $2500 worth of parts and labor. I never thought I'd find that kind of honesty from a car mechanic! I just sold the car, but if I get another German car, I'm definitely bringing it back to Metric Motors.

Had my vehicle serviced here for years before moving out of the area. Service was always outstanding, staff was informative, helpful, and the prices were always extremely reasonable. More importantly, it was refreshing to have auto service with integrity, where I am dealing with people with genuine honesty, and not being sold needless service to replace parts that still have years of serviceable wear and use in them. I have personally recommended them to friends, and tell everyone this is THE place to go if looking for an auto mechanic they can actually Trust!

How do these guys make any money? My brakes on my 2015 A6 were shaking. I went to the dealer to get an estimate and they did not even look at it but planned to replace my front brakes. Metric Motors looked at it and said it is not a safety or performance issue but only a comfort issue. So they said I can drive it and wear the brakes down and save money for a year or they would fix it now.

Then I asked them to do a 55k service and they determined most of my filters were in great shape with no replacement necessary, but they did replace other needed items. Call Joel and set up an appointment - he will steer you right. sorry about that pun.

I found this location here on Yelp after finding two of my tires leaking air. Upon arrival (it was a drop-in) I spoke with Jose who was both quite kind and very knowledgeable, willing to share technical details around tire punctures and common causes. While chatting he collected my contact information and car details, after which we booked an appointment a couple of days later.

On appointment day, I met Joel who handled the dropoff. Again, very knowledgeable and friendly - I felt comfortable leaving my Audi with his team. Dropoff time was around 8:45am; I received a call just before noon to pick up the car. In short, the tires were repaired, the invoice provided was surprisingly detailed (it wasn't just computer-generated line items and SKUs), and the price was fair for the work performed. Though I would never wish for anything bad to happen to my car, in the event of anything unfortunate, I definitely will be returning to Metric Motors to get work done!

These guys know what they are doing, and will not rip you off. In fact, I don't think they charge enough for the level of service provided. They diagnosed my Mini turbo and quoted a price 1/5 what the dealer wanted for the same job. I wish I had found them years ago. Fabulous and honest team we have here who looked after my aging German car and gave very pragmatic advice in what was needed / worth doing to keep it on the road. Joel as front of house was extremely attentive and got my car in / out extremely efficiently as well as keeping me updated during the day on the status. The cost was very reasonable and over 50% of that from the Audi dealership. Their dog is also super cute! Highly recommended.

Joel and his team are the absolute best. I'm so glad I found them when I moved back to SF. I finally found a decent repair shop with a rad service advisor in SoCal when I had to move back to SF (Thanks Covid). I was worried I wouldn't find anyone honest or well priced in the area. Thankfully after having a few convos with places in the area I decided on Metric Motors. Joel and the team were able to help diagnose the complicated problem with my car and give me an honest quote of what I should absolutely fix and other problems I could maybe wait a few months on. Surprisingly, money has yet to grow on trees so I can't fix everything all at once.

I HIGHLY recommend this shop! I've been back a few times for maintenance and the team has done solid work on my car and even gotten it back to me the same day. They're really nice people.

This is hands down best auto repair shop in city. Quality service, super fair pricing, owner trusted integrity and bar none the best customer service I've ever experienced. Truth!

Very professional, went over all the fine details of the repairs, I never felt like any additional repairs were being piled on. The work was completed in a day, and was done to my satisfaction. Highly recommend!

I have a 2011 Audi A3. I rarely write reviews but was absolutely floored by these guys. The service and quality of this shop is second to none - I honestly don't believe any of the 1 star reviews, must be competition. I first went in 5 months ago for an oil change that was fair price to say the least but it was done within an hour and Joel was the friendliest mechanic I've ever met (I know that's not saying much, but trust me).

Also worth noting is that the first person I interacted with had special needs and he told me that Joel had hired him on for 15-20 hours a week to help around the shop - at this point I was committed to the shop. I've been back twice for complications with my car and the service has always been super friendly and prompt, and the price is on the cheaper side - especially for SF. I've worked in construction my whole life and deal with shops and mechanics on a regular basis. This isn't your everyday shop. I couldn't recommend more!

One of the best if not the best independent European garage I've ever done business with. Honest, friendly, and experts at their craft, I've gone back multiple times now because I trust them with my car. I have an E39 M5, and most shops either want to gouge me or don't know what they're doing. The only potential drawback is they are pretty busy (always a good sign for an Indy), but if you want quality service at reasonable prices, look no further.

Metric Motors is a high-value, top-quality, totally chill upgrade from the usual nightmare of expensive, pointless, dealer service. Metric Motors' Service Manager Joel Gile and his team of highly-qualified technicians take pride and pleasure in their work.

They love German cars! Transparent, end-to-end, friendly, and professional customer service. Less costly, and much better, than anything on offer at a high-overhead, branded dealership. Just look at my happy car in the photo! Complete satisfaction.

These guys are a group of straight shooters that know their cars and always do the right thing. Each repair I've had done on multiple cars(2 BMWs, 1 Mercedes, 2 Minis, and 1 Volkswagen) has been approached from my point of view and maximized for my wallet. They are up front about all aspects of the car and what they charge to get the issue corrected.

The only issue is they are a small crew and can get backed up easily, something I take as a sign of being at the top of their game. Metric is my #1 referral for car repair, and the first place I call when I have trouble.

I LOVE this shop! Seriously I been in automotive for years, with race cars and show cars. These guys are honest and affordable, relatively speaking being in SF;. But I recommend to anyone, I mean how many 5 star places are on Yelp! Can't recommend them enough.

These guys took care of my M5 after the dealer wanted 5x more for the repair. They are friendly, fast, and know what they are talking about. Andy, the owner, walked me through the check engine light issue on my car, showed me pictures of the part that failed, and explained why the repair would take as long as it did. Owning an M car I expect any performance related parts on the car to cost big money, but Andy literally gave me an estimate that was 1/5 what SF BMW gave me, and when the job was done he knocked an additional $30 off because they only bill for the time they take to do the job. Great place with a great owner, I will be going back.

Fantastic service. I had a service light on for my 2002 mini cooper. They looked into the root cause and realized that there was no issue. They looked into my car and checked its tires, oil and everything. They realized that everything was good. Eventually, they did not charge me and built a trust relationship with me. The team was super friendly and helpful. I'd refer this place to anyone and will definitely bring my car back when I have an issue. I highly recommend.

What can I say to add to the myriad of great reviews? Another happy customer, no doubt! I had called ahead to schedule my Mercedes Service B, and was surprised that Rob quoted me the price for a Service A, and explained that essentially the 2 services were the same and involved an oil change and inspections. I was a little dubious since other places had different prices for the 2 services (with B being much more expensive), but took my car in anyway trusting in all the other positive reviews.

I didn't need to have worried, as Tom was awesome and explained everything and what he recommended for my car, and the final charge was in fact what he quoted me! I've definitely found my new go-to car place!
