The only independent repair center I could find that was willing to work on my older Subaru Outback, so I gave them a try. They were friendly when I arrived and they asked details about my car's issue. They offered a loaner car for me to use while they kept mine for diagnosis. The next day they called with their quote for repair which I accepted. 24 hours later I recieved a call saying it was completed.
Although my old work car isn't perfect, they correctly diagnosed and repaired with the major issue I was having with it. My overall experience with Menke's was very good. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because I felt the repair cost was a bit high, but in fairness it could have been due to the unique and often difficult nature of the repairs on the Subaru boxer engines. Would definitely reccomend this business.

I am a senior citizen and widow. I was having car issues. I took my car to Menkes located in Newburgh Indiana. The first person I encountered was the manager named Chris. He was polite professional and knowledgeable. Chris set me up with a loaner car. He then took it a step further. Because my car was older but new to me he had his technicians check over all my car so I 'd be safe.
I hope I don't have to do it but I will use Menkes for all my car needs. I also have told friends and family about my wonderful car experience. I recommend Menkes to who need thier car service. I guarantee you will use them again and you too will be spreading the word! Thank you Menkes!

Dropped off my stepdad's car. Got a loaner got us in quickly always knowledgeable and friendly. If u are buying a vehicle take it here they were run a full check and let you know what is wrong with it for 100 bucks. I rather spend the extra money and find out than buy the vehicle without knowing if there is a hidden issue.

I can't speak to the quality of the work performed, as we have not yet got our car back yet. My rating and review is based on the customer service. My wife's car was hit in the parking lot of her workplace, she shopped around and found this place. They gave her a loaner, hey, great. So, today, (Friday, 11/22) at 3:30 they call my wife and tell her her car is ready. Unfortunately, she is at work until 7:45.
She explained this to them, and stated that she didn't have the money to pay them, (I do, the insurance policy is in my name, and the check was written to me) She can't just leave work to come get the car. I work on the west side of Evansville, and there was no conceivable way for me to get there from work, after picking up our daughter from daycare, in the 30 minutes I have between clocking out and the end of there business day.
The rub, and the reason I'm writing this review. Apparently they must have their loaner back tonight. So, with the business being closed, we have no way pay to them and get our car, I'm going to have to drag my 3 year old out at 8pm on a cold night, and keep her out, well past her bedtime to meet my wife at this place, to return the loaner, then miss time at work on Monday to take my wife out there to get her car, AFTER being one car short all weekend. This is asinine. I can't see myself doing business with this company ever again.

They got my car in quickly, checked it out and repaired/replaced what was needed. The guys I dealt with, Gil and Mike, were accommodating and polite. They didn't try to sell me anything or do any unnecessary work. They did provide valuable advice to care for my car in the future. There shop was spotless. I will, definitely, return for maintenance and repairs.

Review from my first and last time using this shop. I went there to figure out why the front tire on my car was wearing very heavy on the inside edge. In the end, they couldn't give me a good answer. Good: - Very clean shop. I've never seen a garage this clean. - Complimentary loaner cars. Bad: - Wanted to charge me $100 just to inspect my front end suspension. Really?
They offered me a $50 complete car inspection which was probably a bad choice because I don't think they inspected the front end suspension very closely. - Tried telling me improper tire wear was from a leaking steering rack which would cost $1000 to replace. When I tried to pin them down on this, they finally admitted that there was no play in the tires so I don't see how a leaking rack could cause a problem.
For the record, my rack doesn't leak. Garage floor where it's parked is dry and reservoir is right on the line. It might weep but this isn't a reason to throw $1000 on a new rack. - Also tried telling me that a bad strut could cause my tire wear problem but bad struts cause tires to get cupped, not wear heavy on the inside. - They left vacuum hoses unconnected.
They told me I had a cracked vacuum hose near the air box. They were right but they also forgot to hook several surrounding vacuum hoses back up. - They left a shop rag in the engine compartment. I'm really glad it didn't catch on fire or get caught in something. I doubt they would have fixed whatever would have been damaged. - They recommended several items that weren't needed.
They said my air filter was very dirty, nope, actually looked fine to me. They also recommended replacing a few fluids that were just replaced months ago. I don't expect every place to be perfect but this is too much for me.
