Mc Dermott's Service & Repair

Let me say, the people at McDermotts are so friendly and really came through in our hour of need. I was traveling from out of town, and my check engine light came on before our drive home. My car couldn't even get to highway speed, so we knew we were stuck until the repair was complete. I called several garages, and none were willing to squeeze us in except McDermotts (many garages said it would be a several week's wait). Ben called us with updates throughout the process, and patiently answered all questions.

He never upsold us any repairs unless he thought they were necessary for a safe trip home. Repairs were completed quickly and with care. I will recommend this place to the family I have in Madison.

First off, service was fast and we're very happy with the work completed. Second, Ben and Marcus did amazing explaining everything to me, responding to my questions and concerns, reassuring me I was no bother and that they were there for me. I also felt no pressure to get anything done, but instead took their advice and recommendations and they helped me SAVE money.

I heard a weird noise reminescent of bad wheel bearings. They fit us in about a week later and fixed it that day! Awesome, thanks you so much!

There is no question that McDermott provide top quality service with a good value. You see that if you go to Zimbrick's or any top brand auto service, they will give you nice doughnuts or free wifi but the thing is that costs are higher there to cover your doughnuts and free wifi. Marcus is a cool dude who will give you a straight talk on estimates and what repairs are needed immediately and what others can wait in due time rather than spend enormous bucks on everything. It won't hurt for you to check them out

I can't give McDermotts a high enough recommendation. Not only are they great at repairing vehicles but they are an outstanding group of people to work with. I trust the operation so much that they were my first call when I was a Fleet Manager for a small company. If you are looking for a knowledgeable repair shop that is ethical and professional look no further than McDermotts.

Small town business in a big city. Was treated like a human unlike the big box stores. Work was done right the first time and on a timely manner at a great price.

The mechanics are all professional and kind. They want to make sure you understand everything and take the time to explain it to you without talking down to you. I've visited McDermotts several times since moving to Madison. They are straightforward and do good work. I've been very pleased.

Really good mechanics are tough to find. McDermott's is no exception to the norm. The staff doesn't go above and beyond, they aren't overly friendly, you're likely not going to get a great price, but they know how to fix cars. And that's what they need to stay in business.

Marcus is seriously the best! Every time we need something looked at on our vehicles he is quick to get us in and gets the job done in record time! McDermotts installed the wiring and brake controller for my camper's brakes and lights. It was a complicated job and I am very glad that they were the ones to do it. They are very professional and pay close attention to detail. I would very much recommend them.

I've been going to McDermotts for a while now and I am never disappointed. They always manage to get me in very quickly, Marcus and the rest of the staff are very friendly and professional; and they truly do their best to make sure everything is taken care of and safe in your vehicle. The nice staff is a bonus though. Highly recommend McDermott's, you will not disappointed.

Ok this is a unique post. We took our older vehicle into get looked at. We recieved a quote for repairs. I know that all quotes can vary, so marcus estimate can differ. This being said 2 other sources came in much lower and with very different (but the same as each other) conclusions. Also we got our car back and the passanger seat was covered with rust stains, the front floor and door jam had mud marks.

He did call us to say that that he left our car dirty (by accident) and I trusted his statment. He took responsibility. They also had it detailed - the seat only - as the door jam and floor still had mud. He did follow through and was very polite and apopogetic. So since we did not get any work and he did communicate well I do not think it would be fair to go give less than 4 stars. But wanted to share info.
