I have been coming here for 5 or 6 years now and I absolutely love having these guys work on my car. I have never had any issues with them, there honesty is absolutely amazing and there work is even better! My entire family come here now and say the same thing. I went to Marco Auto Repair because my brakes started making strange noise, Remi was super professional. I was super surprised I did not had to pay a lot it was only adjustment. My car was diagnosed and fixed. Car was making a back grinding noise. Needed new caliper. Great job, remi is a great mechanic. I have taken both my cars here now and will continue to do so. Very honest and reasonably priced.

Not only are the prices fair and they provide details to help you understand what is going wrong or what you should look into in the future. Marco is actually a friendly nice guy and will tell you upfront if things are better off done with insurance or if you need to go to a different shop and not waste your time or money like other places have done to me in the past. 100% recommend.all my family now takes their car here. Trust is such a hard thing to find and I'm glad we have this place to go to.

Not sure why I haven't reviewed the shop sooner. I've brought my car here for oil changes for a while now and had my brakes done as well. The service is always great and timely. Today my car wouldn't start. I had AAA out they said it's probably the starter I called and talked to Remi and he came to my house to check it out instead of me trying to describe the issue over the phone. I highly recommend them if you're in the area. Service is great!

I've been going to Marco for a little over a year and haven't had any problems. My most recent visit today was because my engine light came on, I had the error code so I already knew what was wrong with it but let Marco tell me what they thought was wrong. Their assessment matched the code that I already had. I was pretty happy that the repair was free of charge because it's the same sensor I had already replaced and it was still under warranty. I will continue to go back to Marco for repairs.

Okay, so this guy said he was going to charge $88 per hour to diagnose the problem because he has to chase it and cant do that for regular $44/h. That was a red flag but I said fine because his shop is close to my home and it was convenient. When the work was finished the bill was $317 for the oil pressure sensor and wiper motor. Those parts are no more than $70-80.

He gave me the invoice and it turns out that his total labor was $88/hr and not just the diagnostic. When I asked him about it he said that he was actually doing me a favor. Im a truck driver and semi truck repair shops charge somewhere around $80/hr and this guy charges more. I understand that we all need to appreciate ourselves but hes not fixing Space Shuttles here and I will not be coming back. Edit: After reconsidering I will adjust the rating because the service was fast and the problems were properly fixed. However, the labor was overpriced.

I went in the other day because I was having a hard time passing emissions. I had a friend work on what we thought was wrong and my check engine light was still on. Remi did a smoke test and didn't give me any hell for not taking it to a shop to get work done, thank you Remi. Turns out, I just needed the check engine light cleared and needed to do a full drive cycle to pass emissions.

I appreciate his honesty and not trying to get more money out of me. Andddd.to top it off, I got back in my car and this little treat was on my dash. It made my night after such a stressful few days! Thanks guys! You have won my business for any future issues.

I was in desperate need of getting my brake pads and rotors replaced and I didn't want to go into a major chain. So I googled places near my home and came across Marco's and the reviews they received. I was able to receive an estimated quote over the phone and an ETA. When I arrived to the shop, I was greeted and felt good about leaving my car. My car was finished an 1/2 hour before I was told and the price was roughly the same! It was a breeze. My son and I especially enjoyed the bag full of treats they left by the steering wheel!

What a great repair shop. These guys are honest and fair. What more could I ask for. They also explain everything so you understand and I couldn't be happier with the work they did for me.

My bf came here today to see if they can do his breaks.we already had somebody look at the car and told us we needed new break pads for the front wheel.nevertheless we took it to Marco and he told us over 800 dollars telling us we need all new breaks for all four wheels and calibers. Wow what a rip off and he charged us 20 dollars for just checking the car giving us a bs total.

Professional and competitive! While doing a routine oil and break service they discovered a recall, they handled the dealer inquiry assisted in prepping us for what to expect with this particular recall and even called to follow up to make sure the dealer had taken care of us! Love this place! Wouldn't trust my car anywhere else. Just recently moved into the area and my fiance and I both bring our cars here and have had great experiences. Always honest, I don't feel like they're trying to rip us off. Got a quote for my car from another place and Marco gave us a way less quote and my car is perfect! Even had a nice little "thank you" bag filled with chocolate in my car when I picked it up : their customer service is on point!

I've been going to Marco's for over 2 years now and have had several serious repairs done. I always feel like they are upfront with me about the work they are going to perform and why. I have often checked on prices myself afterward and found that parts were priced fairly. I have not always been able to drop off my car and come back later but even so the repairs have been timely. Really appreciate their work.

My wipers cut out while on the nearby 294 highway during an ice storm. Needless to say, a stressful situation. I called Marco, the closest auto shop to my location. He went above and beyond to accommodate me quickly, even sending one of his employees to a local dealership to get the parts needed for the repair. He was truly a life saver.

This Place is a rip off! I have used them in the past at their lake in the hills location! They have fixed a exhaust system on my vehicle and within 6 months I had the same exact problem, except now it is worse and need to replace the entire exhaust system on my vehicle. I went to bring it back to the location only to find out that the business has been sold and none of my info was in the system due to previous owner which is Marco deleted all info. So, when I contact the Melrose park location, they refused to take any responsibility for their work.

Just want to let everyone know this place is a disgrace to mechanics. Make sure if you have problems pay by credit so it can be disputed. Read reviews for Lake in the hills location. All horrible and people taking him to court.

I continue to love this place. I had an oil change done at the car dealer and several issues came up during the multipoint inspection. Instead of having the dealer complete the work, I took it to Marco. They did the work for 1/3 of the dealer estimate. My car feels brand new :

I had work done that could have been easily scammed and made very expensive, they did everything they could to make it as cheap as possible and did a very awesome job. Would totally recommend! While not the flashiest of auto shops, they certainly get the job down right, quick, and cheap. This is an honest, no frills shop that will usually have the best prices in the area. I've done brake service on my 2001 Celica here twice and both times everything worked out great. He quoted me at about half the price as the dealer where I do other work and even threw in an additional discount. Marco even dropped me off at work that morning for no charge.

I still go to a Toyota dealer to diagnose problems and do more "model-specific" work, but when it comes to the traditional stuff (brakes, exhaust, tires, belts.etc), I will always go to Marco.

We have taken our cars here for at least 10 years. Never a problem. Service is quick and no work is done without a call to let us know something else needs to be done. Prices are very good as well. Honest and cheaper than the chain places. Give 'em a try!
