Excellent customer service! Needed a new timing belt. Was from out of town, Had spouse at Stanford hospital coming out. Finished the job in one day, able to make it home 3 hours away without any problems. Even picked me up at my hotel! I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. My daughter was heading down to LA today and we thought lights were not working. They told me to come down now. Stopped all other jobs to do a light check. All working (operator error). They offered to check oil and tires. Added some oil and air. When I went to pay them, they said, "Happy New Year on us." I was in and out in 10 minutes. I've lived in Menlo Park for over 30 years and for whatever reason never went here. Highly recommend. Could not have had a better experience.

My car couldn't be started and the mechanic fixed my car within 2-3hours. They reset the immobilizer and changed the battery. I'm happy with the prompt and effective service.

I was making a delivery in Menlo Park and my sprinter van shredded it's serpentine belt. There were no sprinter shops so I called a few shops and these guys were willing to take a look at it. Their initial fix did not solve the problem and it shredded another belt. They persevered, fixed it properly, and charged a fair price for the repair. The belt that shredded was under warranty buy them and I appreciated that. Good guys.

Fabulous customer service and quick turn-around time. I really feel they care about me and my vehicle. Since I last brought her in, she's running like a dream! Best auto care on the peninsula.

My family and I have been going to these guys for YEARS. It's truly a blessing having a reliable automotive repair company that you know is telling the truth and takes good care of you. I recently moved to San Jose but still drive 45 minutes each way to take my car here because I wouldn't go anywhere else. The quality of service and trust they build with their customers are priceless. Keep up the great work!

Henry and his crew got my crazy 64 Dodge Polara sorted out and running strong. It had electrical and overheating problems. Henry also did a full safety check on it. Later he installed seatbelts. It was great to find someone who understands an old muscle car.

Figured it was time for an update! Still the best! And they were soooo helpful during pandemic, picking up and dropping off and sterilizing the car steering wheel and handles! They were also available for the odd question such as low battery when I was barely driving the car! It was one way I still felt taken care of during a very scary and lonely time!

Can't say enough about how great M&R is (in fact I never write reviews but I love them so much I had to write this one). We've been been taking our cars to them for 15 years, and so have multiple family members. Stuart and Henry are the most decent, hard-working, knowledgeable, all-around good guys you'll ever meet. To be able to trust someone to diagnose and fix your car in an honest, professional, timely manner is invaluable. Kudos to Henry for running an excellent business in such a thoughtful way.

Every time I go, I know that they won't try to sell me things I don't need, but will take great care of the vehicle (and me! they've given me rides home and every time I leave there I am thinking what great human beings they are!) I am grateful to have found them and highly recommend them to everyone! Fair prices, great service, kind and honest people -- it doesn't get any better than M&R.

I've been getting my car serviced at this shop for a few years, and my family has been going for longer. Ronaldo is always a pleasure to work with, he's super friendly and gives regular and clear updates and options if you're waiting to hear what's going on with your car. They've helped me with a lot of things - oil changes, brake installs, replacing belts, you name it!

It's super easy making appointments, and they are prompt and efficient when I drop my car off there. I appreciate their attention to detail to keep my car running and in great shape hopefully well beyond the 122k miles it has on it now. Their wifi has come in handy a couple times for me in the past when I needed to wait a little bit longer before picking up my car - I was able to get some work done in their lobby. Helpful all around!

Long overdue review: These guys are wonderful! They saved me when my car battery died and patiently explained assessment results and pricing, along with what could wait and what shouldn't. Will be using them again. Highly recommend!

Henry and the team at M & R Automotive are the best! They are quick, skilled, knowledgeable, and honest. We're bringing both cars here for service now and also letting my extended family know about this wonderful place. It's great that they service European, Domestic, and Asian cars too. You just can't beat the excellent service and prices. I just had the front brakes and radiator replaced and it was half the price of the nearby dealer.

Henry is my hero. I just received shipment from CT to CA of my car of 36 years and I ran into a problem immediately. The secondary safety latch on my 1961 Porsche 356 Roadster was defective. The front hood would pop up at high speeds of after hitting a bump. I was so concerned that the lid would fly off and hit the windshield and driver (me!). When I spoke this morning to Henry, the owner of M & R, he said he was quite busy and going on vacation next week, but he would try to squeeze me in today. At noon he called and by 1pm all was fixed. He did not charge me for the service. He has my loyalty forever.

These guys are great. I took my BMW X5 to them for an alignment and they discovered an issue caused by another shop that created a problem. They dealt with easily and got everything into spec. So, when I put coilovers on and lowered the car two inches I took it to them again for alignment. They were great again. They used to race so they were familiar with the coilovers and the adjustments for alignment.

They got everything into spec except the rear camber. That isn't their fault. There simply isn't enough adjustment in the stock set up on the car. I will be putting adjustable control arms on that will allow for correction of the camber and returning to them to have the camber brought into spec. I highly recommend M&R. They are knowledgeable and "car guys".

These guys are the absolute best! Thank you Ronaldo and Eric for treating me and my mom like family. We came in because my mom's car broke down on the side of the road and was towed here. We had come before and Eric helped us out and got my mom's car back up and running in no time, so of course, we thought to come back when something happened this time around.

These guys took care of everything, from fixing the car to organizing a ride for my mom, it was all totally taken care of. All in less than a single day! You guys turned what would have been a stressful situation into a cakewalk and I'm extremely thankful to have been able to find M & R Automotive. If you're looking for an automotive shop, don't waste your time looking elsewhere. Come to M&R because you can trust that they have your best in mind and won't take advantage of you. I wish there were more stars I could give this shop. I've had my run with uneducated/dishonest mechanics and I finally found one that I trust COMPLETELY. The customer service is second to none, everyone there is super cool and friendly. Everyone there is so happy and genuine and they really go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. THEY WARRANTY THEIR WORK! I'm just over the moon with this shop they have my business for life.

Very friendly and helpful team. Helped me with a few scratches on my car without an appointment. They refer you to an auto shop if you need more intensive work than that, but their team is pretty talented!

Very friendly, helpful, caring and competent service. I brought my sons car in for an opinion on what the problem was, explaining that he had moved some wires around and most likely created the problem. After taking a look at the car, they called and asked me if they could speak to my son so they could find out exactly what he did to it. After they spoke with him, they easily were able to backtrack and fix the problem. I appreciated that they didn't need to spend a lot of time on the car, therefore presenting me with an affordable bill.

I have a 1970s Mopar that needed a fair bit of work after sitting for a few years. The guys at M&R immediately recognized they were dealing with an old and rare vehicle, and took the time to ID issues, share part costs, and keep me updated. They did the work quickly and the vehicle is really back to tip top shape. They told me what work could wait, and they even got it to pass smog : Definitely on the expensive side, but that's what one should expect with a 45 year old vehicle.

Smog check cost $50 and took 10 min the day of - Ramon was super professional and friendly. He got me in and out super quick so I could get on with the rest of my day. Maybe more expensive than other nearby options, but I liked the service quality.

I trust M & R completely! They take great care of my car so I never have to worry. They helped me get the most out of my previous 20-year-old car (often checking it with no charge), and now that the warranty is done I am glad to be able to bring my new car in. (I was never completely comfortable with the included service at the dealer where I bought it.) I prefer to know my mechanics, Henry and Stuart - and have them know my car. They are smart, thoughtful, honest. And the place is spotless, which shows how much care they take of everything!

Walked in a bit after opening time on a Wednesday morning for a smog check. I was told there wasn't any time that day to do it but I was able to easily make an appointment the next day at 9 am. I just moved into the state so I had a couple questions and the workers there are really knowledgeable and kind! Came in the next day, about 15 mins before my appointment time but they were able to start getting my information, took the keys, and then I waited in the waiting area.

By 9:10 my car was ready to go! The smog check was all good, results went straight to the DMV because everything is computerized now, and I they pulled my car back to the front! Definitely will come back here for any automotive help I need!
