Lansing Transmission

I brought my 2014 Ford Focus in July of 2021. I paid for my transmission repair which was a pretty quick turnaround. Less than 24 hours later my transmission failed, all of the lights came on and i had to return the car. it is now June of 2022. They supposedly have been waiting on a part for nearly a year. I had to finance another car on top of the car payment i'm paying for the car they have possession of.

If i hadn't already paid then i would've towed my car some place else but alas, it has been sitting in the same exact spot as it was sitting last July. I drive by it everyday. Really wish i could get the money back for the repair that never took place. And now i can't even phone in because there phones are down.? Unless this is miraculously resolved soon, i would not recommend this place to anyone. Go somewhere else. Fix it yourself.

I had dropped my car off in December because the other shop I take my cars too said they thought it was a transmission issue. It was there for 3 weeks and I had to keep calling for updates. They finally said they thought it was the CV joint. I paid $600 to have that fixed only for them to tell me they still could hear it and it had to be the transmission. Heard it.because they never diagnosed it at all.

The other place I took it too hooked it up and it wasn't throwing any codes at all. I paid $40 at the other place to actually check it not go off of hearing alone. Insane that this place comes highly recommended when they don't even diagnose issues.

They Had the car s week longer than they said. And it had to go back for leaks they had it for a week more. Then when called about it the lady I talk with had no answer and rude I will never go there again

I dropped my car off on a Friday after being told on the phone they would be able to look at it the following week. I called after a few days and was told they hadn't had a chance yet. I think after two weeks they called to let me know it was the CV joint, so I gave the okay to fix it. That took another week, but I had to keep calling to see what was going on.

They finally said the CV joint was fixed but they were still hearing a noise and it needed further diagnosis. That took another 4 days. Their diagnosing it was just taking it for a drive, they heard a noise, then they said it needed a new transmission for $3000. What a joke, no actual diagnosis other than hearing a noise. I doubt my CV joint needed to be replaced now and I was ripped off $600 for nothing.

Not once did they say it may not be the cv joint.they seemed confident it was that which is why I gave the okay to fix it. I now have to take it somewhere else to see if I can get an idea of what is wrong since my car isn't showing any typical transmission signs.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality They gave me about 1 day estimated wait to look at my vehicle. 1 week later they looked at it and told me they might do the work that day. 1 week later they did the work and when I went and got my vehicle the catalytic converter was stolen. I took my vehicle back 10 times for the same problem from leaking to shifting wrong and over heating I took it back in January of 2021 to find out it's my fault and they wanted to void my warranty because it's my fault and to have me spend more money to fix the issue but sure enough it's always my fault I even payed the tech to fix a leaking line that I would have to wait 3 weeks for what's even better still under warranty but 20$ out of my pocket to pay the tech on his lunch break because it would have sat in there drive way until they got to it 2300$ wasted just to find out they don't honor warranties and the customer is always wrong. Spend your money at A&J transmission they care about your issues.

This is an amazing business! I went in this morning with concerns about my transmission. Alesha, the office manager, was able to get someone to test drive my car and figure out what was going on right away. I was able to get my car looked at, fixed, and paid for within an hour. The staff is amazing and made me feel informed and at ease. They were very kind to me and had great people skills.

Being a young woman I felt very comfortable and treated with respect. I will forever come back to Lansing Transmission if I have any issues and would recommend to anyone wanting quality, effective, and efficient service! Thanks you all!

The service evaluation was free. And after we figured out the problem, Laura and Brian informed of what solution needed to be done. Which was really appreciated. However, appointment times aren't honored. They're just a guideline of getting your vehicle on the waiting list to be serviced. More employees could elevate this problem.
