This is a very shady business that will lie over and over to try to over charge you. I was quoted a very hi estimate and 30 minutes later, my husband called to remove the rotors replacement and only authorized the brake pads replacement and they agreed. They then called me to tell me that in the 30 minutes my husband had waited to call they had received the parts and already done all the work.

When asked if they could put the old rotors back, we were told that they had thrown them away. We agreed on a price that included pads and rotors but when I got home, my husband realized they never replaced the rotors but charged me for them. I'll spare you the details of the array of pathetic lies. I have never felt so scammed by a place before. Please take your car elsewhere.

I had to get my emissions and state inspection done. They have a very simple process set up there. I got in line and there were probably seven cars ahead of me on a Saturday. Everything moved quickly and I had both inspections completed and paid for within an hour! Thanks!

This is exactly where you want to take your vehicles for oil changes, They give you a full list of diagnostics/recommendations after you're done. I've been coming here faithfully since 2017 and no issues with this shop whatsoever! If you schedule an appointment, you'll be out of there in less than an hour. They will also expense your rideshare fees in case the shuttle service is busy! These dudes are official.

New to the area and needed inspections for our vehicles. It was a very seamless process, but what impressed me most was the waiting area and the staff. From the gentleman who took my vehicle for inspection to the staff I encountered inside, ALL of them were professional and personable. A big shout out to Tristan and Al for going the extra mile after learning my family was new to the area. Top notch establishment. I highly recommend.

I've brought my vehicle here for a while now, mostly because of it's convenient location and hours. The work is good and haven't really had any issues with my vehicle. It does cost more to get a lot things done here but I find it worth it much if the time for the reasons I mentioned already. I do feel like the communication from this place has declined a bit in my experience.

There seems to be less feedback on what is going on with my vehicle, unless it's necessary to spend money to fix it. Not even totally sure the complimentary multi-point inspection is being done as advertised. Still like the shop but wish communication was better as when I started initially bringing my car in.

Had two nails in my rear passenger tire. Needed to get to work. I used my portable pump to get to the shop and they took care of me right away. No fuss, no hassle. Staff is professional and courteous. Will do business here again.

I recently had My Audi S5 serviced at Lake Ridge auto care and was completely satisfied with the experience. When they were not able to fully diagnose the problem they had the car towed to an Audi dealership at their expense for A second diagnostic opinion. They then completed the repairs for $2000 less than what the dealership charged while also providing me a Rent-A-Car again at their expense for the additional time I had to wait.

This is the reason I have had my cars that include two BMWs the aforementioned Audi S5, and a serviced there for the past 15 years. I am also completely comfortable having them perform the service on the new Corvette I bought as well. I highly recommend Lake Ridge auto care especially for individuals with high end and performance vehicles looking for top-notch service at a fair price. Their willingness to do just a little bit more than they have to to ensure it's satisfying experience is the reason I will be a loyal customer for the foreseeable future.

Failed State Inspection due to a front brake pad and rear brake pad being below 2/32 (understandable with over 80K miles and OEM brakes). Immediately wanted $125 for a brake system inspection before scheduling replacement -- which struck me as odd. Although the fee is refundable if you get replacement brakes through them, why would I pay for another inspection when you just failed me? Quoted $1600 for replacing all pads and rotors, along with brake system flush and a second state safety inspection.

I went to another shop on Caton Hill Road near Minnieville and Telegraph which completed the same job for around $800. It's unfortunate because this shop seems to be associated with Community Car Care in Annandale, where I've had years of positive customer experiences (they both use the same customer database). I will never return and encourage others to look at other local options.

Fantastic place to take your car for service or annual inspections. They are polite, professional, knowledgeable, and very timely. I have been using Lake Ridge Auto Care since moving to Virginia 2 years ago and will continue to for the foreseeable future. -Nick

I've known the manager at Lake Ridge for almost 20 yrs. He is definitely a customer care kind of person. I took my car in for leaks, his most experienced tech jumped on it right away. Most intriguing though was for the manager to call and explain the necessary repairs. I thought that spoke volumes. Thank you Adam. and to his shuttle driver that day Elijah. Also thanks to Kendall for getting me checked in immediately.

I used LRA as a backup when I was in a bind or when my primary mechanic didn't perform the service (ie: tire services.) I brought my car in for my VA inspections and they said a wheel stud was broken. When I pointed out they replaced my tires and are the only shop that has touched my tires, they agreed to make the repair, but did give me pushback. (This is around a 2 hour job and $200 repair for parts & labor.) However, the front desk clerk first said *if* they could get to it, it wouldn't be until the end of the day.

Then he said he needed to order parts. Something seemed off because a legit auto shop would have these parts, so I told them to call me when they got the parts in and left. I drove to Advance Auto, purchased the $9 worth of parts, then had a reputable shop look at it, and it turns out the wheel stud wasn't even broken and my car passed inspection.

I love Lake Ridge Auto Care! I drive from Dumfries just to get my emissions testing done, bypassing several other auto care businesses. Their hours work with my busy schedule and they are fast, efficient, and friendly. I really like the fact that I can stay in my vehicle until they come and get me, this process helps cycle customers in and out without everyone congregating in the waiting room. Love this place, worth the drive!

Do not recommend coming here for state inspections. I saw an earlier review and someone said they got through seven cars in 30 minutes. They must have lost those inspectors because I've been here for two hours and they've only moved the line up four cars. Where you line up you can see the inspectors drive the cars out and drive new cars in - instead of maybe at most five minutes between them bringing a car out and getting another one it's more like fifteen. Absolutely ridiculous. If you see more than three cars in line, best to just go down the road to someplace else.

I brought my explorer in about a month ago for an hvac issue, brakes, and an inspection. The team there is the standard for what you want when it comes to customer service. From the time I called to the time I picked my car up, they were nothing but friendly, efficient, and accommodating. They not only handled a claim for us with a 3rd party warranty service but Adam (the manager) assisted us with an issue that was miscommunication on our end, and took care of us when he didn't have to.

These guys take customer service to the next level. I have been to many service centers, but this is one I will absolutely be coming back to. I'll be sure to let everyone I know how awesome you guys are. Thanks again and we are glad to be lifelong customers.

Please if you value your car, don't take it there. I went for a simple oil change and ended up with damage to my car, which they said was their fault. The car is still damaged and I have to pay to get it fixed myself. i will never return there for anything. Be careful and inspect your car before leaving the parking lot.

I'm very careful where I take my custom 350Z so, I went to Lake Ridge Auto Care to have four new tires balanced/mounted on my Z. After all they have a good reputation with solid ratings. My appointment was for 8am, I was seen at 8:30am. My new tires were delivered by TireRack and my old tires were removed from my car.so far so good then the trouble began.

The technician could not figure out why my new tires would not seal on my VolkRay R30 rims? I saw that the technician was having trouble and tried to assist him but was chased away by the shop manager for insurance reasons. I told him his technician didn't know what he was doing and reluctantly complied with his demand to stay in the waiting area.

The issue at hand was VolkRay rims require reverse mounting onto the tire. This means you must turn the rim face down on the mounting machine to mount the rim onto the tire. This requires the technician to be extra cautious when placing the finished side of the rim onto the mounting studs. Unfortunately, this did not happened due to the technicians lack of experience and carelessness requiring other technicians to assist him.

When all was said and done.3 hours later! My $900 each VolkRay RE30 Racing custom rims were damaged beyond belief with gouges and scratches all around the lug nut and center cap area from the technician slapping my rims onto the machine with no regard for the finish. Additionally, he damaged one custom VolkRay center cap using a breaker bar to remove it!

In fairness, management has acknowledged responsibility for the technicians actions and documented the damages. Now comes the difficult and time consuming part of finding new VolkRay RE30 Racing rims to replace the old ones. If you have a nice car with nice rims you can understand how this is a freaking nightmare! The ball is in Lake Ridge Auto Care management's court to resolve this situation that has left me totally blown away! Update - 11 Sep: The Manager of Lake Ridge Auto Care, has kept true to his word and is working with me to replace my Volk Ray wheels via Special Order from the manufacturer in Japan. More to follow.

Maybe my car is ready. Maybe it's not. I don't know - because even though I started calling to check when they were still going to be open for another 40 minutes (and I had plenty of time to get there), THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I called 9 times - same message, no answer. I went to their website, and communicated with them that way - and received a text from them asking me to call back during business hours - AND THEY ARE STILL OPEN.

I came here to get my state inspection done. I came on a Thursday at 8am and I was the second car in line. I figured being the second car, it would be done quickly, but I sat waiting for a good hour for everything to get done. (A little slow but an hour at a auto shop isn't crazy) Once my car was taken in it took literally 10 min and I was done. $20. I will be returning in the future for my state inspection! Also - their customer service is pretty amazing. They're very friendly and they quick.

Outrageous prices for services. Quoted me double what other places quoted. Not the best people to work with. Dont rush/go there because it's conveniently close, do your research, you will feel taken advantage of!

I've lived in Lake Ridge most of my life and this place has always been here. I've tried multiple times but I just can't anymore. TWO HOURS and 15 minutes for an oil change WITH an appointment. Kid at the front desk tells me it's because of the wait for the brake inspection. Joke's on him cause my car was in the front spot and I could SEE through the window when they were and were not working on it.

Took my car here for emissions testing and inspection. There was a line to be serviced, but the total waiting time was no more than an hour. The staff was courteous and friendly, and the waiting area inside was clean and spacious. Not much to complain about!

I called to make sure that they were doing state inspections. The employee on the phone stated that they would be doing inspections until closing at 5 pm. I called around 2:15 and arrived around 3 only to be told that they had decided to close early due to weather even though the weather had not changed. They have lost a four year faithful customer in me.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to get my car inspected and emissions done. There was a pretty long line when I arrived but that isn't there fault. Just be prepared to wait a long time In your cold car. Dress accordingly and bring something to do. Once my car was taken it only took 10-15 minutes but overall I was there for 2 hours. Staff was friendly and courteous. I received all the paperwork I needed to get my car registered at the DMV.

So they are really nice and responsive here first off. My problem is that I I had them diagnose a problem with my car that they said would cost nearly 500 to to replace. I wasn't ready for that so I went and purchased the part for 60 dollars and used a youtube video, I was able to do the work myself in less than an hour. I have no idea how trained technicians could justify 500 dollars for even an hours worth of work but that is outrageous.

Always take cars here for inspections/emissions! We sat in line for an hour but the line had quite a few cars in it and I could tell they were going as fast as possible because the actual time in the waiting room was quick! Very professional establishment and waiting room was clean and stocked with coffee.

This is a two-part review. 1) I've lived in the Lake Ridge area for the past 5 years and have never once thought to have my cars serviced in Lake Ridge Auto Care. I've always brought my cars to the deal for servicing and repairs, to include state inspections. The dealership would offer free state inspections, that ended this year. I tried scheduling an inspection for November, only to find that none were available.

So I brought my car in to Lake Ridge Auto Care and was met by a mechanic who took the car into the garage and sent me to the waiting area. At the dealership, I would end up waiting anywhere from 1-4 hours, and they would always offer additional service/repairs that I did not need. It was to my pleasant surprise that no more than 15 minutes in the waiting area, my car was done.

It was a Saturday, so to have my weekend go uninterrupted, was a bonus. 2) I went back to my dealership to use the final oil change and tire rotation prepaid service. I went in at 7:45 am, and at 9:30 I get a call from them (I was in the waiting area) that they wanted to do additional service for another $500. I told them no, expecting my oil change to be done.

I doubt they had even started when they called. They were done at 10:45 and I decided to schedule all the services with Lake Ridge Auto to include new rotors for my front brakes (Honda Odyssey front rotors tend to warp). They were willing to take my car in immediately and were done in less time than the dealership took to change out the oil. For comparison, I had the front rotors and brake pads replaced, a four wheel alignment, and the coolant system flushed.

So yeah, they even take 10% off labor costs if you're a Lake Ridge HOA member. This is now my go-to place for my cars. I've only taken my minivan, but it may be time to introduce my sedan. Thanks for the great work! See you again soon!

Last time I'm going here. It always takes longer and cost more than they say, but this time they were not honest about when the job was started. One person told me that my truck was already in the garage being repaired, I called back an hour later and another person told me they hadn't even started. Also, i was told I'd be picked up by their shuttle service at a certain time never heard anything back. Avoid this place, it would be way better to deal with any local gas station.
