Koby Motors is an independently owned service facility which specializes in the service and repair of Porsche automobiles. We have proudly served Houston Porsche owners since 1981 with a commitment to quality and dedication to providing the best automotive service available. With more than 35 years serving the greater Houston area we have established our selves as the leading repair and maintenance shop for Porsche and other imported automobiles. As well as serving Porsches, Koby Motors also performs services on all imported and domestic automobiles.
Services
Club racer and enthusiast for over 14 years, Jose can do all major and minor repairs including full engine rebuilds, race car prep, and performance tuning. He specializes in helping PCA members and CR Participates fine tune their cars for the track. Years of experience and training with several model lines as well as Diesel engine expertise.
Below is a detailed explanation of all of our services offered ranging from basic oil changes to full spec race car builds. Keep in mind that while we are Porsche specialists, we do services all makes and models! If you already know what you need, please go to our booking page to schedule an appointment.
CR Events was established around several guiding principles. First, there should be a class for all Porsche sports cars, including both street and modified cars. Second, the racing is to be fun, safe, and clean. This principle is embodied in the strict enforcement of the '13/13 Rule', which provides for immediate sanctions against any driver at fault in any incident involving car damage.
Koby Motors is an independently owned service facility which specializes in the service and repair of Porsche automobiles for more than 35 years. Our services range from the simple oil change, scheduled maintenance including service intervals and timing belt replacements, to full rebuilds, performance upgrades and track preparation.Some of our other services include air conditioning, electrical, brakes, engine mechanical repairs, transmission repair, 2-wheel and 4-wheel alignments, suspension/steering, engine diagnostics and emissions repairs.

The overall experience with these guys has been great! from my initial call where they gave me info on my brakes and saved me from changing them when it was not needed yet, to all oil change, to them taking the time on a Monday early morning walk in to run diagnostics due to a sensor n get me on my way to Austin. thank you guys

I don't go just anywhere where my Porsche is concerned. This Porsche repair shop is the real thing. When in house Porsche dealerships cant fix it.this is where they send the cars (unknown to most owners). Being lucky enough to have a brother working as a financial manager for a dealership, I learned this secret. I would not write a review if I didn't believe in giving a referral.
The owner knows porsches. All one has to do is visit and view the vehicles at his shop. Fair prices, excellent service and most importantly.knows everything about porsches. I believe all employees are his sons. They have been taught by the master.

Took my "new to me" 2000 Porsche Boxster S in for a performance upgrade. Just recently purchase the car without PPI - Pre purchase inspection, Which was not smart on my end, but the price was were i needed for a 20 year old car with 55k miles on it. CarFax checked out so went ahead with the purchase. for this mid engine car they changed all the fluids, inspected every part that was needing inspection. Installed new motor and transmission mounts, since the car was producing a rumbling noise accelerating through turns.
Also upgraded and changed to a FABSPEED Performance Maxflow Exhaust, aFe superstock intake and some Manzo headers. Also changed out to new Boshe Spark plugs and the thing drives absolutely amazing with certainty that after these upgrades and maintenance services the car will go for a long while. A word about communication, taking a car in that i was expecting to get hosed on the prices, Jose Sr. and the team at Koby Motors was upfront and honest about all the work being done with constant communication with fair pricing since only a few number of people only specialize in Porsches.
When i arrive there were 20 or 30 Porsches and a few other exotics being serviced by them. After the service and their fees being taken i would not trust my car to any other team than Koby Auto.

I'm an out of town client. I trusted Jose Jr with a start to finish of a vintage AC Porsche. HE was superb from start to finish. From his thoroughness in doing a PPI to superb suspension set up - Jose is top notch in communication and in integrity in identifying work, to completing. I'm a Navy CAPT and have a tendency to be type A with my cars. Junior and Koby are a go to for anyone with discerning taste in auto-craft and automobile interest. Superb results. I have been going to Koby Motors for over 8 years. They have worked on my Porsche 944 Turbo, 944 S2, Acura TSX, Ford Focus ST, Corvette Z06, Honda Civic, Toyota 4Runner, Camry, RAV4, Infiniti M35, Chevy 2500 HD Diesel over these years. The only people I trust to touch my cars. They are very reasonable in pricing as compared to other shops, especially dealerships.
If you are wanting to modify your Porsche, or set up any car for the track, this is the place to go. Jose is an experienced Porsche Club Racer with many podiums under his belt. He is the guy to talk to if you want your track/race car worked on, set up, or built. I gladly drive from Cypress to drop off my cars to have them worked on. They truly take care of your car like it's their own. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an honest mechanic, who does great work.

I bought an air cooled Porsche 911 in the Houston area and I live in the Midwest. Needed a PPI done and Jose jr was incredible to work with. Took pictures of all the work that needed to be done and was great to work with. Very thorough and kept me updated on all the repairs that I needed to have done. Would recommend him to anyone.

First and foremost - I have to begin this review pointing out the professionalism of the staff at Koby Motors. I was buying a car from a dealership in Tx all the way from NY and was calling random local auto shops to have the car fully inspected. I was referred to Koby by another auto shop. When I had called I spoke to Jose - who managed to do a visual inspection of the car for me over the phone once the dealer brought them the vehicle to them. Jose did everything he could in the short time he had to keep me fully aware of what I was buying; the pros and cons of the vehicle - spent over 30min over the phone with me and didn't charge me a penny.
For that alone, this review was mandatory. The courtesy and kindness from Koby Motors is something rare - so rare that we never across this type of service in Ny. Thank you again Koby Motors
